Greetings fellow citizens of the Andromedan Republic. It is my honour to have been entrusted with this distinguished position and I am delighted to have the support of so many. I start with a promise to always perform to the best of my ability; my role is “Supreme Chancellor”, but I assure you that my reign will have no elements of supremacy. I urge every citizen to enforce accountability – it is imperative that everyone has the right to criticise and be vocal for their own desires. As such, I will do my best to ensure that executive actions are transparent and democratically performed.

My predecessor, the great Ekateran leader Emeris, has so deftly built a foundation of peace and freedom for the Republic. They are truly a special person for their commitment to their principles and I am greatly privileged to have been selected to continue leading the Republic towards their vision. Let us not let the election of a new Supreme Chancellor overshadow the legacy of Emeris. The first official action I would like to take is to assign Emeris the role of Chancellor Emeritus; the great things that Emeris has done for the Republic are not repayable, however, I would like to make permanent this token of respect and remembrance for their reign.

I am further honoured to have run against the dignified Korrigan, and her skillset cannot be ignored. I am in full agreement with her that such a close vote should not warrant returning to an ordinary senate position for either party. Having said this, I would like to appoint her as the Vice Chancellor of the Andromedan Republic. I am certain that she will be more than competent in this role as she has shown herself to be a loyal, trustworthy, and good-natured individual. Her agenda will include rebuilding the construction team and bettering our foreign relations; I am sure she will manage this with panache and aplomb.

I would like to thank all the voters who turned up for the election earlier on. It was exciting to witness the enthusiastic participation of fifty-two Andromedans and this evident togetherness serves as a sure sign of hope. This sense of community is the way forward for our alliance. In tandem, I wish to greatly thank my beloved nation for all the support they have given to me throughout this week’s proceedings.

The future holds hope and renewed strength for our alliance. We have shown that we can work together. A vibrant work ethic and a heightened sense of participation is important in building the Republic’s strength. Together we can improve the military and the economy through training and trade. Together we can cement our strength as an alliance through fraternity. Let us map a way forward in conjunction with the Republic’s core principles: individuality through community; democracy through accountability; peace through security; and to sum it all up: freedom and equality for all.
