  1. Hello OJBtheFox, I am Tayter_Kat and I will be reviewing your Apprentice Plot...
  2. First off, I would like to state that I grade more thorough and harsh as the ranks go up. Don't take any of this to heart, I just like to get my point across to you so you can fix whatever is needed to be worked on.
  3.
  4. Structure(s):
  5. This is anything from houses to castles to gazebos. You have some structures on your plot, but they need a bit of work. First off, the castle is not consistent. You can tell it was copied/pasted next to each other because some of the blocks that should be placed in a specific spot, are in the same place through out the build. It also looks a bit sloppy in general. The pillars just randomly cut off and it doesn't make sense with the rest of the build. The detailing cuts off and looks unorganized as well. Maybe of you add the diamond top to those, or create a new ending/top to them, it might look better. The side of the build looks awkward as well. Sense the detailing on the huge pillars are uneven and do not match to the rest of the build, I recommend fixing this to where they are even and look more organized. Also, If you add a roof to the castle, it might help fit the theme instead of flat and unappealing. Try making a roof that is not to cluttered or distracting to the rest of the structure. Try making a simple roof with some detail on it. Even some sort of roof is better than very minimal to no roof at all. Moving on the houses in the trees. First off, I am confused as to why there are houses in the trees on the first place, then there are some of the same orange houses on the ground. Other than that these houses look good. Lastly, lets move to the houses with the brown roofs. These houses look great as well. They have a good amount of depth and look appealing. Sadly, the overall palette is very sloppy. Yes, the palette stays consistent in groups around the plot, but they should be consistent all around instead of sections. Palette is the blocks you choose to build with that fit a certain theme. I suggest sticking with certain blocks throughout the build instead of keeping it separated and sloppy. Try making it match! This will make the plot way more appealing, organized, and it will fit your chosen theme.
  6. Terrain:
  7. This is anything involving the ground, like cliffs, and hills. Your plot is very simplistic, and below average for an Apprentice, for someone who has W/E and Voxel. I suggest adding some more interesting terrain to your plot to make it more interesting instead of the whole plot being somewhat flat. When adding more terrain, Make sure it makes sense instead of random island here and a hill that's in the way of everything else. Be creative in your terrain placement and the shapes. Make sure it is also smooth instead of choppy and/or messy. This will make it seem more realistic and will make your plot unique to you.
  8. Organics:
  9. This is anything living, like animals and trees. First off, I do not understand as to why you have random flying dogs on your plot. It does not fit the theme you are portraying> If you want to add animals to your plot, Go all out. Don't just add two or three small, random animals on your plot and then leave everyone guessing as to why they are there. I have seen some great plots with animals on them and they look fantastic. If you decide to go the fantasy route, I suggest building some larger animals that what you have. Your dogs are good, but they do not fit the theme. Next, You have an abundant of trees on your plot, and they look decent at best. Some of the smaller trees needed a bit more leaves or could have some branches. As for the big tree, this need work to be done on it. The trunk needs to be smoothed out( I can see the spheres you used to make the tree. Make sure the tree does not look like a big staircase either. It has to be smooth and flow well instead of choppy (which is the complete opposite of a realistic tree). The branches are alright, but I cannot see them under the leaves. One thing I can comment on is that a tree has way more branches than 4-5 and that branches are all different sizes. The branches that are attached to the trunk should be the biggest and it should vary from there. I Know of a great video that shows how to build a big tree being build. It explains some great tips on building a tree while showing you! If this is not the style of tree you want to build, you can make it your own, as this is just an example. Be creative and put your own spunk into it instead of copying the tutorial block for block. Here are the links (there are two parts):

  13. To sum up your review, I recommend fixing your detail, adding more interesting elements, and to make a theme out of your structures. For terrain, try using what you are given and creating interesting terrain all around your plot. Lastly, for organics, make sure everything is smoothed out and looks realistic. Add your own spunk(style) into it, it might help give your plot that extra push while still being unique to you.
  14.
  15. Good Luck and don't give up! I think you will enjoy being paramount after you are finished your plot. But for now, you have to fix something on this plot. Good Luck yet again<3 <3 <3
