PERSONALITY:

— shin sungji; the walking definition of exuberant, vigorous, happy etc. its like she's a walking happy pill that spreads positive energy wherever she goes. in their duo, sungji is what everyone considers as the happy virus. you know, the typical sunshine of the group that is also a childish dork. well, that's shin sungji for you. everyday, sungji would never let a frown replace her bright smile. she's just so lively and cheerful that even if you're in a bad mood, looking at her be optimistic can make your lips curve into a small smile.  sungji is the mood maker. she creates all these puns and funnily unfunny jokes that she guarantees can somewhat make her partner (the nerdy one) or other peers laugh. sungji has a thing of just being a complete, total dork. she's clumsy at times, yeah but when she begins to perform onstage, her aura completely changes and she becomes more serious but still that iconic shin sungji smile never fades away. she is hardworking, selfless and sweet. hardworking because she completely puts all of her effort onto the duo and her work. she wants to make sure the two of them can live the dream they've always wanted. selfless because sungji would take a bullet for the nerdy one. she treats her as a best friend and a sister and she believes that nothing could change that. lastly, sweet because sungji is just really kind. she lifts people's spirits up by complimenting them. whenever she sees a really pretty stranger for example, she would stop right then and there on her tracks and tell the stranger how beautiful and pretty she looks that day. its just a thing that sungji does. however, despite being a sweetheart, sungji is stubborn. she's very picky at some things and she sometimes disagrees at the nerdy one's opinions but in the end, she goes with the latter's plan. but whenever sungji argues with another person, she doesn't back down. she stands up for herself but sometimes, she admits that she's the one who made a mistake.

BACKGROUND:

— growing up, sungji was a confident kid. she liked walking around the neighborhood with a hairbrush in hand and pretend to have a concert. actually, the shin family's passion is for music. sungji grew up with a musically-inclined family which is why she wanted to become an idol or a celebrity when she gets older. her father was a former band singer, her mother was a vocalist in a choir and was a music teacher and her older brother is an underground rapper and is part of a local dance group. as for sungji, well she's in a duo. little shin sungji would always perform onstage during pre-school to elementary. she would have various roles in school musicals, even up to high school. sungji was homeschooled after ninth grade due to her family suffering financially but was able to go to a proper college at the age of 17. she took up performing arts and was given the opportunity to audition for a company after a talent scout watched her perform. and from then and there, sungji followed her dream.

HIS PERSONALITY:

— jungkook is an absolute dork. he may look all strong, hot and tough on stage whenever he performs but in real life or behind the cameras, he has this adorable and dorky personality. he likes to crack up some jokes that the members usually laugh at and he is just generally a funny and sweet guy. he gets flustered when he gets teased but he's absolutely tender-hearted. like sungji, he lifts the mood up with his aura and his personality, all in all.

HOW HE ACTS AROUND YOU:

beginning | sungji and jungkook barely makes any interactions. they usually just glance at each other and greet the latter whenever they need to. they don't speak as much but when they do, its usually about the weekly mission or just something about the group. jungkook actually wants to get close to sungji because he always noticed how loud yet adorable she becomes when all the participants get together. he's usually the one who laughs loudly at her jokes and for that, she looks at him and always flashes him an eyesmile and grin.

middle | when sungji asked him for money since she wanted to buy some candy, jungkook becomes hesitant at first because of how straightforward sungji was. but he let that slide and eventually handed her his change before she decided to drag him to the store and buy the candy. due to this little interaction, jungkook found sungji interesting and he really wants sungji to become a close friend of his. their friendship blossoms because jungkook would try to talk to sungji or vice versa and they would just naturally let their friendship flow freely. he still feels awkward when he's with her, though since he finds sungji attractive. but despite some awkward moments, he still finds a way to make the conversation longer and their bond stronger.

end | all throughout the series, jungkook develops a close relationship with sungji. because sungji tends to cling onto others by linking her arms with theirs or by hugging them from behind, its unavoidable that jungkook would have liked her just a bit. sungji likes hanging out with friends and jungkook just so happens to be one of her closest friends in the show aside from the nerdy one. jungkook would somehow show that he liks her by giving subtle hints like slinging his arm around her shoulder or ruffling her hair. sometimes, even teasing her but still, he couldn't bring himself to ask her out since he's completely focused on his music career.

HOW YOU ACT AROUND HIM:

beginning | sungji is very comfortable with everyone actually so there were no awkward moments when she was with jungkook. sungji thinks of him as her idols because she loves bts so much. however, her bias is actually jimin and not jungkook so she felt a really tiny bit of disappointment. but she completely respects and admires jungkook because he IS part of her favorite group. whenever jungkook is in need of something, sungji would always come to the rescue and help him. like when jungkook jokingly asked for a scarf because he was cold, sungji immediately took off hers and wrapped it around his neck which took him by surprise.

middle | sungji begins to get really comfortable with jungkook. she treats him as her best friend. she would sometimes complain to him or tell him when she has a problem and he would always give her some advice or vice versa. she always thinks that jungkook is such a gentle and kind guy and that no matter what, he would always happily help others. his personality became a reason why that sungji was starting to have a small crush on him.

end | sungji and jungkook would help each other out a lot. when someone loses something, the latter would help them find it or when one of them is hungry, the latter would pay for their food and make sure they eat. she enjoys their close and strong friendship. throughout the show, sungji develops romantic feelings for him but she knows she can't date him since he is focused on his career and she was still on a dating ban. however, she makes the most of it during their time together and would just be there for him in case he needs someone to talk to. they may not date but sungji is fine with just being best friends.

HOW WOULD YOU REACT IF SOMEONE ELSE LOST THEIR BAG?:

— if someone ever lost their bag, sungji would help them but instead of actually finding it, she would just head over to the information desk and ask if they had ever seen a bag with the person who lost it's name. she would be worried for the person and if they ever start crying, she would comfort them and try cheering them up.

HOW WOULD YOU REACT IF YOU LOST YOUR BAG?:

— sungji would freak out. she would panic and worry too much that she could breakdown on the spot. she doesn't like losing things and likes to keep her bags and things close to her. finding out that she lost her bag, she would just panic at first and frantically look around for it until she finds it. she might even miss a flight for it. it shows that she doesn't lose hope too easily. if she really can't find it, she just fall to the floor and start crying out of frustration and stress.
