- The officers involved in the shooting death of a couple on Hwy. 212 have returned to work while state investigators continue to analyze evidence in the case.
- The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is still investigating; the case will go to the Hennepin County attorney's office for a review of potential charges. Other officer-involved shooting investigations have taken months.
- Matthew Serbus, 36, originally from Maple Grove, and Dawn Pfister, 34, of Elkhorn, Wis., led police on a high-speed chase Feb. 7 and were shot multiple times when they emerged from the car with a knife. The four officers -- Chaska police Sgt. Brady Juell, Chaska police officer Trent Wurtz, State Patrol Trooper Mark Lund and Carver County Sheriff's Office Cpl. Nathan Mueller -- were put on administrative leave after and returned to work the week of Feb. 17.
