  1. [21:57] It was.. Uneventful.
  2.
  3. Walking through the city, the pair of hazel eyes would constantly search around for people. Inside of Mellarius, there had been almost no knight presence. Around the castle, the knights were few enough for the group to sneak through. Without even going into the sewers, Meter would have been able to cross the entirety of the city with little difficulty.
  4.
  5. It was only as they crossed into the noble district, that he noticed someone. The blue leaves began to flow as the tempeture lessened. Crossing past the gates, he drew into the center of the noble's estate, hazel eyes staring at the man in the middle.
  6.
  7. "Claude Pelleaux, yeah?"
  8. (Meter)
  9. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  10.
  11. [22:02] Naturally was sitting on his bench, eating a borger form MacWhoppers. Amber hues followed the arrival of four heavily armed figure's into his estate. Plus a Lydia, he wasn't sure why she was with them but these things happened.
  12.
  13. Once he'd been addressed, however, his attention shifted to Meter. A brow raised as he was addressed, there wasn't a hint of hesitation as he answered. "Lord Claude vey Pelleaux, but you knew the name. So, what can I do for you?"
  14.
  15. The figure sat the borger to the side as he did so.
  16. (Claude vey Pelleaux)
  17. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  18.
  19. [22:03] Sajid smiles, simply looking between Claude and Meter, not really joining yet to do anything but watch.
  20. (Sajid)
  21. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  22.
  23. [22:03] Lydia's stomach growls fiercly at that borger. She peeks from the tree, "Clod, right? Mind sharing some of that?" Now wasn't the time, though, the nature-focused magi simply reached tendrils of vines in Claude's direction in hopes of getting some borg.
  24. (Lydia Fields)
  25. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  26.
  27. [22:04] His arms settled within his cloaking. His visage was mostly shrouded by his hooding. A stand was taken before the purple haired lord, simply in wait.
  28. (Lucian Valintine)
  29. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  30.
  31. [22:04] Proteus trailed behind the group, hands hidden within pockets beneath the cloak as his eyes scanned around the few individuals they had passed, specifically looking for some type of way to identify their affiliations.
  32.
  33. The small group had no luck, a sigh leaving his lips as they continued to walk deeper into Osrona, steps pausing momentarily as he spotted Claude sitting on the bench, a MacWhoppers held within his hand.
  34.
  35. It seemed Meter had spotted the man too, already making his way over, the others following behind.
  36.
  37. Volatile tendrils continued to move behind Proteus's back as he approached, remaining off to the side in silence when the duo conversed, eyes peering towards the borger he was sure tasted delicious.
  38. (Proteus)
  39. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  40.
  41. [22:06] Claude rolled his eyes as he glanced towards Lydia. Clod really? "Lord Claude, don't be rude just because you're hungry." yet, despite that he did sit a paper-wrapped burger in the tendril's grippers.
  42. (Claude vey Pelleaux)
  43. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  44.
  45. [22:06] {Item} You drop Sandwich.
  46. [22:07] The pair of hazel eyes would look down the man as a staff was drawn from the back of the Syndicate head. Sands began to whirl around him in the air as the tempeture dropped more and more.
  47.
  48. "When I was fourteen, or maybe it was fifteen, there was a woman named Charlotte Karnstein. You stole her brother. You made her brother yell at her in the streets, decry her. You put a bounty on her head. And then.. You made her disappear."
  49.
  50. "Nobles are people who sit atop society, who the knights serve and they use the knights to keep everything in check. To sit comfortably. To be entertained as you guys rip families appart. Iiiiii'll admit, I don't care as much about most of it as I would like. I'm no saint."
  51.
  52. "But Charlotte Karnstien was someone I looked up to. And you are the reason she's no longer around."
  53.
  54. An inhale.
  55.
  56. "I am Cameo Orn Octavius, Meter, leader of the Syndicate. Do you have any last words, Pelleaux?"
  57. (Meter)
  58. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  59.
  60. [22:08] Lydia Fields says, "<Fuck yeah... borger.>"
  61. [22:17] The Pellaux's attention returned fully to Meter as the whirling sands began to pick up around the figure. The temperature dropping his expression shifted a little. From annoyed to a more neutral expression. A hand coming to rest upon the Crossier sitting on the bench beside him.
  62.
  63. Then he listened to the man's complaints, then came the ultimatum. That brought a smile to his features at the least. A hand rose, one index finger extended as he began to speak.
  64.
  65. "I've got a books worth. Though, that depends on if you want to listen." As he spoke the air about his frame started to tingle with radioactive energy. If the fight started as he spoke he'd not be caught unawares.
  66.
  67. "Yes, I figured who you were the moment you mentioned Charlotte. Karnstein's have been gone a long time after all. Ms. Karnstein assaulted me in the streets when I was employing most of her family. That's what caused Ravan to yell at her. A bounty was put in with Catpain Task, but before he actually made it public Ravan asked me to recall it."
  68.
  69. As he spoke the Crossier was pulled from it's spot on the bench, the twin serpents nestled into his lap as he gazed at Meter.
  70.
  71. "As for the rest of it, well that's populist rhetoric and I doubt anything I say will sway your opinion on it. I'll also not waste breath on spelling out the arrest warrant. So, that leads me to a question. Would you like to do this here?"
  72. (Claude vey Pelleaux)
  73. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  74.
  75. [22:20] "Yeah, right here will do."
  76.
  77. The sands started to wrap around the area, making the exits rather hard to come and out of, but there was still a chance for them to escape if they were entirely lucky.
  78.
  79. However, there was a joke in this, that he wanted to say, but nothing to really cease this at once. His words would not leave him, but something was gonna come across, something that was deadly.
  80.
  81. "Come, come - my dear friend; you will be beautiful soon.~"
  82. (Sajid)
  83. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  84.
  85. [22:21] The woman reaches to unwrap the remaining burger and bite into its goodness, though.. a side of her halts her movements. She flinches at Cameo's voice. Truly, it was him? She had thought he had gotten lost years ago, yet here he was, aiming a weapon toward the mayor of Sudbury. She blinks in confusion, trembling further at the memories of the ravaging rabbit. Fingers run along her thick, old scars, shuddering toward the man.
  86.
  87. "Wait, is this truly.. what the Syndicate stands for? Death to nobles? This won't make things change, it'll only.. only bring more chaos into Esshar." She speaks less like a country bumpkin and more like a sweating politican. She blinks again and clears her throat, allowing that burger refuge into her vines as she moves a bit closer.
  88.
  89. "C-cameo.. are you sure this is what you want to do? I mean, I .. I haven't spoken to you in years but I would have never thought that .. powerful man of a rabbit you are would turn to murder just to prove a point? To .. exact revenge? To what exactly? This'll only make the nobles angry and make the commoners-- like me-- fear the Syndicate even more."
  90.
  91. She pleads with the rabbit as if her words had meant something.
  92. (Lydia Fields)
  93. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  94.
  95. [22:24] A soft hum left Proteus's lips as the duo continued to converse, it seemed there was more of a past between the duo of Meter and Claude than he had thought, the last name of Claude finally being recalled.
  96.
  97. Eyes widening for a brief moment of shock before he recomposed himself, a curious tilt of his head showing, hood shuffling as he peered towards the now identified noble of Osrona.
  98.
  99. "Does a noble's trophy count?"
  100.
  101. Question said seemingly to the air, his attention remained on Claude as an index-finger raised to point towards the noble, eyes moving towards Crossier that was now within Claude's lap.
  102.
  103. He doubted he'd be given the chance to fight, with the now revealed past between Meter and Claude, but the chance was always there, and it'd speed up the process of actually joining the Syndicate.
  104.
  105. The tendrils behind his back become further erratic, a step taken forward to prepare to charge in and fight Claude if other's failed.
  106. (Proteus)
  107. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  108.
  109. [22:26] ** Sajid has inflicted an injury upon Claude vey Pelleaux. ("Temporary Injury", "Temporary Injury", "Temporary", "Duration: Medium (4 days)") **
  110. [22:28] Cold, everything about him was cold. The smell of blood began to flow through the air, a dark red barely visible against the darkness of his coat and cloak. The hazel eyes remained on the Pelluax.
  111.
  112. "I'm only going to give you that much." He said, letting the noble speak what he would. He was right, the moment that Cameo spoke up, who he was would be revealed. Although the bunny ears had been removed from his head, it was in his words, that hatred and bitterness.
  113.
  114. "I don't care the reason. You played a family against itself. And if there's one thing that Sudbury residents should be, it's loyal to one another. You broke that. You broke their loyalty to their family. You made a brother abandon their sister. It doesn't matter how fancy you make the words."
  115.
  116. The staff was drawn from Meter's back, but before he could engage, the sands of Mr. Glass would take to the surroundngs.
  117.
  118. "It's more then rhetoric. I've seen what knights do. You can't change my thoughts. You're right. Aaaaand I guess it has to be here. Alright then, Mr. Glass."
  119.
  120. "Glass them."
  121.
  122. A glance then, towards the woman who spoke up.
  123.
  124. "The Syndicate stands for the end of the chain. The chains that weigh on people. And this man? He made a chain upon the family of Karnstien. One that I will cut down like all others."
  125.
  126. "You can't change a system with words. You can't break the chains without action. And the knights have attacked me before, without even knowing who I was."
  127.
  128. "So I'll do the same, but to the deserving."
  129. (Meter)
  130. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  131.
  132. [22:29] Well, with the dance that was coming with the sands and flames, mixed with shards of glass? The only thing that he could do was try to save himself from the fires that would be.
  133.
  134. However, that was a mistake - Claude was just zooming everywhere. It was more than terrifying than anything else to see someone of age being able to zoom in and out with such horrible, horrifying speed.
  135.
  136. However, he was more than capable of being durable, so with every light that came across that was a beam, the sand would reduce that damage just enough. And then, the sand would wrap around their entire figure and hold on to it tightly before focusing on one of the limbs that were there.
  137.
  138. And that was when the fires - the beautiful, beautiful fires started to go around the arm in an artistic way - akin to a serpant lizard that was more than ready to claim its victim.
  139.
  140. Just when they were ready to snap - they got away from it. But will they run?
  141. (Sajid)
  142. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  143.
  144. [22:29] Lydia Fields whispers something.
  145. [22:30] Lydia attempts to reach out and clasp Cameo's hand, though, she was hesitant.
  146. (Lydia Fields)
  147. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  148.
  149. [22:30] Meter whispers something.
  150. [22:30] Lydia Fields says, ". . ."
  151. [22:30] Meter whispers something.
  152. [22:31] Lydia cringes, squinting to the little rabbit before releasing a sigh.
  153. (Lydia Fields)
  154. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  155.
  156. [22:31] Lydia Fields says, "You know better than I where you walk, Cameo. Forgive me for.. thinking I could change your mind."
  157. [22:31] Lydia Fields whispers something.
  158. [22:32] Lydia assumedly doesn't receive his hand and offers a gentle touch to his chest before moving off to the side to watch the inevitable. She could do nothing. She was essentially a neutral party in this, despite her personal feelings for her past mentor.
  159. (Lydia Fields)
  160. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  161.
  162. [22:33] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  163. [22:33] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  164. [22:34] Meter whispers something.
  165. [22:34] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  166. [22:45] The Pelleaux's gaze drifted to Sajid as he started to close the escapes from the garden. Though rather than fear or dismay the Nobleman smiled softly. Glad his wife and daughters had lessons at this time of day in the city proper.
  167.
  168. His attention shifted to Cameo as he spoke about the honor of Sudbury, that brought a mocking tone to the nobleman's voice as he interrupted the syndicate leader.
  169.
  170. "Exactly what I'd expect to hear from a puffed up peasant from the depths of that accursed district. Yet, know that it was ME who cleaned it and made it a place worth living in. Not any of it's natives."
  171.
  172. Though in truth he'd not even worry about the argument against Knights. It wasn't one he'd ever have the chance of winning because, he agreed with the man. The First Order was a mockery of what it was supposed to be.
  173.
  174. His attention turned to Mr. Glass as it was. His eyes Narrowing. Glass? Well, that explained the comment about beauty. The Nobleman smiled evenly as he stood from his seat.
  175.
  176. "Well, let's see what this Terrorists dogs are capable of." As he spoke he'd bring the crosier up. Beginning the dance with the Sand magi.
  177.
  178. In those round the man fought hard, revealing the origins of the Lightswordsmen. So many who'd adopted his style and adapted it to themselves. Darting in with the blistering speed of light itself.
  179.
  180. In the end though he'd fail, just barely. Missing a strike that would have ended the battle in his favor. The curse of a decade without practice. Without conflict to sharpen himself against.
  181.
  182. As the sands tightened him, the beautiful fires wrapping around him. Akin to a serpent, but it wasn't the celestial serpent that he knew to be his. This was a being of another elemental plane. It's fangs bit deeply and he could feel his sword arm wither in it's flames.
  183.
  184. In a flicker he was out of those flames! half a dozen yards from Sajid. The Nobleman grunted as he felt his right arm twitch. Without hesitation he shifted the crosier to his left.
  185.
  186. "Well! I have to say, you're a honed weapon that's to be sure Mr. Glass! Though, you'll not find me beaten so easily!" As he spoke his form shimmered in light. A flickering image of some serpent curling about his form. Forged of hard light and cosmic energy.
  187.
  188. Those glowing Amber hues shifted from Sajid to the line up for a moment before shifting back to him. "Time's running out, the Knights and Watch will have spotted this display. You're willing to risk them for a chance at me?"
  189. (Claude vey Pelleaux)
  190. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  191.
  192. [22:45] Meter says, "--"
  193. [22:52] Steps were taken backwards to distance himself from the ensuing battle. The Pelleaux's speed was truly terrifying for the water-magi to witness, speeds unlike any he had seen before.
  194.
  195. Back and forth the duo went, sand versus cosmic, the ever slippery Claude never seemingly truly getting caught within the waves of sand.
  196.
  197. And finally the final exchange came, sands tightening around the noble, his sword arm injured from Sajid's trap, Proteus's eyes moving away from the spot that Claude had been a second ago, and towards his new location.
  198.
  199. Fast..
  200.
  201. "My turn I guess, if no one doesn't mind?" Question sounding out as he made to step forward, hands revealing themselves from underneath his cloak, boots stepping onto the grass as he approached.
  202.
  203. "Time's running out? Well, we'll have to clear things up fast I suppose."
  204.
  205. That flickering image of the serpent curling around the noble's form had an interested gleam appearing in Proteus's eye, a new magic to test himself again, a rarely seen style within Theria.
  206.
  207. And then he was off, foot stepping forward to propel himself towards Claude, clearly intent on challenging the noble next.
  208. (Proteus)
  209. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  210.
  211. [22:54] Meter whispers something.
  212. [22:54] Meter whispers something.
  213. [22:55] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  214. [22:55] Meter whispers something.
  215. [22:56] Sajid whispers something.
  216. [22:56] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  217. [22:59] Sarasha Fenrir whispers something.
  218. [23:01] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  219. [23:02] Lydia Fields whispers something.
  220. [23:02] Lydia taps her chin.
  221. (Lydia Fields)
  222. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  223.
  224. [23:03] Aki hums...
  225. (Aki Kurokaiyo)
  226. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  227.
  228. [23:03] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  229. [23:03] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  230. [23:03] Lydia Fields whispers something.
  231. [23:03] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  232. [23:03] Lydia Fields whispers something.
  233. [23:03] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  234. [23:04] Lydia Fields whispers something.
  235. [23:04] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  236. [23:04] Here came another fighter, this one with the curling tendrils of a Riptide mage. Another style he'd never had much practice with. The Nobleman was nothing if not ready for him. Shifting his stance to look upon the man.
  237.
  238. "You look like you've something to prove." His attention shifted softly as he saw the frankly ever increasing number of invaders lining the wall. For a moment he just looked at them.
  239.
  240. Then his focus was forced upon the water magi. Slowly he slide into an aggressive stance. This would be a much harder fight for the nobleman than the previous one. With his right arm in ruins he'd be forced to rely on the left.
  241.
  242. He took a breath, calling further upon the great Rasalhague to keep him moving and keep it moving it did. Overflowing the shriveled and weakened mana circuits in his right arm. That burn upon it.
  243.
  244. Designed to look like a serpent began to radiate with cosmic energy. As it did so the Nobleman raised his right handthe cosmic serpent adorning it.
  245.
  246. HIs attention shifted back to the wall. "Where are all you roaches coming from?!" It was a, admittedly, poor use of his time as it turned the start of the battle against him decidedly.
  247.
  248. (Claude vey Pelleaux)
  249. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  250.
  251. [23:04] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  252. [23:05] Lydia Fields whispers something.
  253. [23:05] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  254. [23:05] Lydia Fields whispers something.
  255. [23:06] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  256. [23:06] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  257. [23:06] Lydia Fields whispers something.
  258. [23:07] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  259. [23:07] Lydia Fields whispers something.
  260. [23:07] Lydia Fields whispers something.
  261. [23:07] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  262. [23:07] Lydia rolls her eyes and glances away from Lucian. She frowns and folds her arms.
  263. (Lydia Fields)
  264. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  265.
  266. [23:08] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  267. [23:08] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  268. [23:09] Lydia Fields whispers something.
  269. [23:09] Lydia Fields whispers something.
  270. [23:10] No hesitation to his approach, already he had got the chance to witness Claude's magic, the overwhelming speed had already been noted within his mind.
  271.
  272. Tendrils used to lash towards the cosmic-magi when ever he suddenly appeared behind him, Proteus's eyes barely able to keep up with the dashing around noble, something that even after witnessing before he didn't expect from an older man.
  273.
  274. Blows continued to be exchanged, a tidal wave of water sent out ahead of the water-magi to stall the man's approach, his charge following behind the wave, scarlet-hues lit up beneath the hood as magical circuits linked up.
  275.
  276. Too fast to be caught by his slowly meaning wave, the water-magi's strategy changed, close combat on his mind as he dashed across the grounds towards Claude, doing his best to engage the man in close-combat.
  277.
  278. Close, it seemed if he made a single error it would be capitalized on and lead to a defeat, and finally an opportune moment appeared.
  279.
  280. A javelin of volatile water formed, hand seemingly gripped onto the hilt as he leaned backwards, sending the javelin towards the wave, an opening appearing at it was launched throughout the air, slamming into the noble's chest.
  281.
  282. A step was taken forward, to follow through with the blow before he halted, head turning to the spectating line-up, clearly he was finished with fighting, deciding to cease in his actions suddenly.
  283.
  284. "I'm done. Called me a roach though.." He muttered underneath his breath, before shoulders rolled into a shrug.
  285.
  286. "So, who's next to beat on the training doll?"
  287. (Proteus)
  288. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  289.
  290. [23:10] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  291. [23:11] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  292. [23:11] Gritted teeth. Between the attacks of Mr. Glass, and Proteus, more and more wounds would have accumulated on the noble. But, taunting as his words were, he was correct. The sound of the manor being attacked wasn't small, it was large, a battle that would surely draw more and more ears the longer it lingered. The leader of the Syndicate would shake their head.
  293.
  294. "Next time you will not slip away so luckily, Pelleaux. Your blood will mark the plants yet. And you may call me a peasant, but I am one who will take down the knights yet."
  295.
  296. "And I won't be confused or swayed by your words. I won't be swayed after what you did." A glare at last thrown towards the noble, before plants and sand would erupt towards the manor. An attack of vandalism, messing up the walls and leaving a massive hole.
  297.
  298. 'The Syndicate was here' made into the very stones as the sand became a sand storm, and Meter began to walk through it.
  299.
  300. "If any of you want a last swing, take it. But after, we need to move."
  301.
  302. Steps forwards and away from the manor.
  303. (Meter)
  304. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  305.
  306. [23:11] Lucian Valintine says, "I'm good on that.."
  307. [23:11] Lydia Fields says, ".. Good bye hooded strangers."
  308. [23:12] Lydia Fields says, "I won't stick around after his words."
  309. [23:22] This fight was as vicious as the last, the darting in of the two different swordsman being something that was surely a sight to behold for those witnessing it. Yet, it was a battle he just wasn't able to keep up with.
  310.
  311. Even with the cosmic rush he was starting to feel himself wear down. The whips and tendrils of water proving to much for him to overcome. The battle ending narrowly against him as he was thrown into a tree with a resounding thud.
  312.
  313. On the ground the nobleman spit up a handful of blood. The vision of it blurring for a moment as he did so. The words of his assailants echoed in his ears hazy.
  314.
  315. Yet, he was not so deaf as to hear the words being spoken to him. Taunts, insults? He'd shift his crosier to the ground. Pressing against it the battered Nobleman rose form the ground.
  316.
  317. "A life of service seems to have stolen my edge. What a whetstone you people are."
  318.
  319. His stance turned towards the leader of the group. This was the man who the rest followed here. Cameo Orn Ocatarius. A criminal, a terrorist, and worse, a peasant.
  320.
  321. The Pelleaux amber hues narrowed upon Cameo, looking past those nearby, their forms starting to blurr at the corner of his vision. A fresh wash of celestial power started to encapsulate the man as he brought up his Crosier.
  322.
  323. "I said, it's Lord Pelleaux. Now, don't think you'll walk out of my home without a scratch." As soon as he spoke his crosier shot forwards! As he did so the very figure of the nobleman shifted away.
  324.
  325. From above he rematerialized, coming down fast against the Nature magi. Descending like a meteor earthwards, his very form blurring in the burst of magic.
  326. (Claude vey Pelleaux)
  327. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  328.
  329. [23:23] Sarasha Fenrir whispers something.
  330. [23:27] "Aaaaaaaand what a fool you are."
  331.
  332. The sand had risen up, making it difficult to get a beat on the Syndicate leader. But Meter was not a person who ran. A leisurely pace towards the exit, before the sudden raising yet again of the man's weapon, the shifting of the Crosier. This would be met by tendrils of plant matter rising from the ground.
  333.
  334. "You're wounded already. Aaaaaand you're still coming at me? It's dumb. I've fought Radiants. I've fought Exarchs. I won't call you Lord, Pelleaux. I'll call you what you are."
  335.
  336. "You are my target. You are a representation of what is wrong with this world. You are the worst kind of noble, one who plays with the lives of those I care about. In life, you served the service."
  337.
  338. "But in this? By death, you will serve as a representation that the nobles are not untouchable. In death, You're one step closer to me severing the chains."
  339.
  340. Claude rematerialized above, and earth itself rose to meet him as the air grew cold and artic.
  341. (Meter)
  342. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  343.
  344. [23:33] ** Meter has inflicted an injury upon Claude vey Pelleaux. ("Permanent Injury", "Permanent Injury", "Permanent", "Severity: MODERATE (-10 Vit)") **
  345. [23:33] Sarasha Fenrir says, "Magnificent..."
  346. [23:38] Sajid whispers something.
  347. [23:38] Aki Kurokaiyo whispers something.
  348. [23:38] Proteus whispers something.
  349. [23:38] Sajid whispers something.

  351. [23:38] Proteus whispers something.
  352. [23:38] Aki Kurokaiyo whispers something.
  353. [23:38] Sajid whispers something.
  354. [23:38] Sajid whispers something.
  355. [23:40] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  356. [23:40] Lucian Valintine whispers something.
  357. [23:40] Proteus whispers something.
  358. [23:41] Sajid goes to check, but there was no borger.
  359. (Sajid)
  360. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  361.
  362. [23:41] Sajid whispers something.
  363. [23:41] Sajid whispers something.
  364. [23:47] "You called me a whetstone."
  365.
  366. The battle was by no means easy or perfectly won. The power of the light and the blade would rapidly make marks on Meter's visage, blood pouring more heavily from the Syndicate boss as the battle went on and on. Plants grew with the frigid coldness surrounding them, sands tore through the air, slicing and Pelleuax over and over.
  367.
  368. But definitely no easy foe. Orbs of light collided with Meter, the blade caught his skin, prisms of light directly harmed him. And yet.. Strike after strike, blood after blood, the vines burried into Meter. Lightly, he healed as he moved forwards.
  369.
  370. "I disagree. You're the wetstone, Claude. You are the thing that all my hatred has shined towards. You are the person who I saw tear appart the slums the most, separate families. You may have built it up as a mayor, but you also tear too much apart."
  371.
  372. "I will never forgive you for Charlotte." It was personal, but also professional. Every hit both because of who Claude was, but also because it was a noble. Because the man who was in front of him.. Was one of the people who he saw as the worst in the world.
  373.
  374. "Not without a scratch? That's fine. You won't walk out of here. You should have let me pass, so you can't blame me, for impaling yourself right? You can't blame winter for coming when you dive into it unprepared."
  375.
  376. Vines wiggled, writhed. They ran aflurry from inside of Meter's arms, flinging to Claude. A slice. Another. Again, and again, slice after thorny slice being made onto Claude's body. At first, they met metal, but as they cut more and more, they went deeper and deeper into the flesh. It managled. It cut.
  377.
  378. One in particular went upwards, bashing the side of Claude's head. Slicing close to his face, an ear would go flying off, caught only by a vine close by, before the slices on the chest resumed, leaving the region bloody and heavily bleeding out.
  379.
  380. "You're not leaving here, Claude. I'm not letting you go. Astor, Pelleaux, Grimmoire. I'm going after them all. You just happen to be the first."
  381.
  382. "This world will fall. This chain will break."
  383.
  384. Another gash, before leaving him a moment, letting Claude slump to the ground. He would take a minute to breathe, just letting Claude bleed out onto the grass below. Blood would feed nature in his own cruel way.
  385. (Meter)
  386. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  387.
  388. [23:53] Sajid whispers something.
  389. [23:53] Sarasha Fenrir whispers something.
  390. [23:53] Sajid whispers something.
  391. [23:53] Sarasha Fenrir whispers something.
  392. [23:54] Sajid whispers something.
  393. [23:59] The ground was a place he'd never spent much of his life on. It was a thing he found disgusting, filled with the failures of the world. He'd always looked to the stars instead, there was a plan up in those twinkling lights. A purpose for the world to follow. That's what mattered to him, the purpose he played in the great plan.
  394.
  395. Perhaps that's why he was who he was. The pain felt like a fire, he'd fought not one magi after the next and when they sought to leave he'd kept up the aggression. That's what he was, tenacious, proud.
  396.
  397. His hand came up to cover his face, the blood was coming now. He could hear the world hazy as he slid back to touch the ear he'd lost. It was a marring on his features, one that he'd worry about if he didn't know what he was facing.
  398.
  399. Yet, he heard enough. His gaze shifted upwards as he pushed himself out of dirt. It was getting harder to breath, and his vision was marred by blood. He sp Order to move against it's enemies?
  400.
  401. No, he knew they'd continue to hide inside the walls with all there wonderous powers and do nothing. The Pellaux's eyes close as he turned his gaze towards the sky. He didn't need them to see what he wished to.
  402.
  403. Far within the sky was the constellation of Opiuchus and within it his star. Rasalhague, the place where his soul would rest.
  404. (Claude vey Pelleaux)
  405. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  406.
  407.
  408. [00:12] Claude was here. He was in Meter's hands. He could kill him. Right now, the thought crossed over the Syndicate Boss' mind over, and over and over again. He could take the life. It wasn't his first kill. The Order would know what he had done. But.. Was it perfect?
  409.
  410. So, as the blood would leak from Claude, one last strike.
  411.
  412. "Charlotte is one reason. The Pelleuax family looking down is another. The nobility has to fall if we want to break chains. People have to die. It's the way that it is."
  413.
  414. "It's the only way to break the chains, to weaken the First Light, to show the world exactly how little the Order can do."
  415.
  416. And yet.. There was that nagging feeling just at the back of Meter's head. Was there a better way to use this?
  417.
  418. . . .
  419.
  420. "I will show how weak the First Light is. I'll show how little they can accomplish."
  421.
  422. The vine, a sudden blow, to the side of Claude's head. Instead of killing the noble, he would just be knocked out, and the blue vines would be wrapped around the noble.
  423.
  424. "The world will know. We'll announce it. Claude Vey Pelleaux has been captured by the Syndicate. The Order will come, try to save him. And they will fail. And then, he will die."
  425.
  426. A step forward, choice made. A hand moved to the weapon of the Pelleaux, taking it, before starting to drag him off.
  427.
  428. "Let's return."
  429. (Meter)
  430. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  431.
  432. [00:12] Claude vey Pelleaux's Serpent's Crosier was stolen by Meter.
  433. [00:18] The Greater Nobleman didn't speak as he gazed towards the stars above. He'd witnessed the single-minded actions of the Syndicate underbosses time and time again. It was nothing if not admirable in it's fanaticism.
  434.
  435. Yet, still he was to die, he would do so with decorum. He heard the last sentence, it was a real shame he'd lost most of his influence in the First Light. Though, if it was to come he'd push his muscles further.
  436.
  437. He was kneeling, but his posture was as rigid as he could make it. The perfect posture for a tea ceremony, his mind darting back to the years of business with Kirai. A smile settled upon his features as he did so.
  438.
  439. He was going to meet those who came before. That was when he felt the blow landing and land it did. Smoting the Pelleaux into the dirt with such force that his head bounced off the ground.
  440.
  441. A flicker of cosmic energy fluttered before fading and the man went still.
  442. (Claude vey Pelleaux)
  443. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  444.
  445. [00:22] Sajid says, "..."
  446. [00:22] Sajid says, "Collar him."
  447. [00:22] Meter says, "We do need a collar."
  448. [00:22] Sajid says, "I'll be back with one."
  449. [00:24] Sarasha pulls a cigarette out and flicks a match to it.
  450. (Sarasha Fenrir)
  451. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  452.
  453. [00:24] Sajid puts a collar on the unconscious man, making sure he can't utilize magic.
  454. (Sajid)
  455. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  456.
  457. [00:26] Sajid whispers something.
  458. [00:28] With the city escaped, the Syndicate leader would lead back to the base. Once there, it was the simple matter of taking Claude to one of the cells, and having an anti-magic collar put onto the noble. An inhale was taken, taking a step back with the weapon in hand.
  459.
  460. "The city will soon know of whats happened. Enjoy your last few days of life, Pelleaux." A pause, thinking, anything forgotten.. Before reaching forwards and taking a few coins from the noble to see to the rest.
  461.
  462. "And payment, for a successful capture."
  463. (Meter)
  464. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  465.
  466. [00:28] Meter whispers: (cool if I take 8k?
  467. [00:29] Claude vey Pelleaux whispers: (Mhm, yeah here.)
  468. [00:29] {ITEM} Traded 8000 coins to Meter
  469. [00:29] Sarasha Fenrir says, "Check his coin purse too."
  470. [00:29] Meter whispers: (thx
  471. [00:30] Meter tosses Claude's coins to those who came with.
  472. (Meter)
  473. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  474.
  475. [00:30] Sajid takes it.
  476. (Sajid)
  477. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  478.
  479. [00:30] Sarasha Fenrir says, "Noble outtah' have somethin' on em'."
  480. [00:30] Lucian Valintine says, "Thank you, boss."
  481. [00:30] Sajid nodded.
  482. (Sajid)
  483. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  484.
  485. [00:31] Proteus swipes out a hand to catch the coins, smile curling further on his lips as he pocketed the currency, head bopping towards Meter after the coin had disappeared into his jacket.
  486.
  487. "Perfect perfect. More than I thought too."
  488. (Proteus)
  489. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  490.
  491. [00:34] Aki Kurokaiyo says, "Hm..."
  492. [00:35] Woke up and really he wish he hadn't with the bludgeoning migraine that was bouncing in his head. He'd look up towards Meter as he spoke, a frown settled upon his features as he did so.
  493.
  494. Then his gaze shifted to those who'd came with. He took a deep breath, this was painful. In a lot of ways, he'd settle into his chair. His attention shifted around for a second.
  495.
  496. Then he looked up, "A cave, underground... Of course." If it was a test of his resolve by the great plan. It was working, the man hated being undergrounds worse than being above ground.
  497.
  498. His attention shifted to Sarasha as they spoke, squinting at them for a moment. "Aren't you... Seriously? You make a move against Osrona using a bunch of fanatical terrorists and assassins?"
  499.
  500. There was a moment, he'd turn his head and spit his blood upon the ground. His attention returned, a single half-open glint of gold looking towards her. "Pretty smart, shame you all attacked me. I hate to tell you all but my influence with the First Light evaporated when I became Mayor of Sudbury."
  501. (Claude vey Pelleaux)
  502. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  503.
  504. [00:43] The cigarette at her lips was pulled away after taking a deep drag. Taking in the warmth the cigarette and relaxing herself. Underneath her expressionless visage, the Matriarch was excited. Stepping forward to the bound noble, Sarasha spews the smoke right into his face. A grin coming to fruition.
  505.
  506. "Seriously you say? You've not a clue about me or what I do. Regardless, I'm flattered you've heard of me." She spoke in a more calm tone until- "Now shut your mouth." A much more stern and mean voice took over.
  507.
  508. The cigarette was driven onto that pretty little face he must had loved, right into the cheek. Merciless in the quick application. He dared raise his armaments and magic against her beloved.
  509.
  510. "I don't want to hear a word unless you decide to spew information that peaks my interest."
  511. (Sarasha Fenrir)
  512. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  513.
  514. [00:47] Aki Kurokaiyo whispers something.
  515. [00:47] Headbutt once she'd gotten up to blow smoke in his face.
  516. (Claude vey Pelleaux)
  517. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  518.
  519. [00:49] Meter whispers something.
  520. [00:49] Meter whispers something.
  521. [00:49] Aki Kurokaiyo whispers something.
  522. [00:49] Attempted to sidestep!
  523. (Sarasha Fenrir)
  524. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  525.
  526. [00:53] Once they'd gotten close he felt the smoke blown into his face. Feeling it wash over him he'd hold his breath. Feeling a rush of smoke over his face. Well, she was close enough to blow smoke in his face? Not close enough. Then he listened to her some as she spoke.
  527.
  528. The hand came up to press the cigarettes into his face. That's when he made his move. He shoved his head forwards smashing his forehead into her nose. It seemed the man was beaten to a pulp but had plenty of fight left in him.
  529.
  530. He was after all the lord of the Pelleaux, a man whose name had shaped the last decade of Osrona. The man's blood was flowing fully now. His gaze watched the woman as she was pushed away from the force.
  531.
  532. "Here's some useful information, when I get out of here I'm going to hunt you down and show you what happens when you cross the Pelleaux!"
  533. (Claude vey Pelleaux)
  534. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  535.
  536. [00:57] Sarasha's head went back with the blow, but her foot raised and swiftly went to his chin! Shaking her head off she looked to Cameo.
  537.
  538. "Give me the remote! I'm breaking his bones!" She demanded it. Sarasha was enraged by their actions and now she wanted to teach them their place.
  539.
  540. "Here's some for you lout'! You're going to die here. Painfully and slow!"
  541.
  542. A hand went to her nose and she rubbed it. Grunting with a wide eye scowl to the man. The air in the room chilled to a freezing point and the moisture froze against the surfaces in the cave.
  543. (Sarasha Fenrir)
  544. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  545.
  546. [00:58] foot meet chin, chin meet foot
  547. (Sarasha Fenrir)
  548. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  549.
  550. [00:58] tried to not get his chin decked.
  551. (Claude vey Pelleaux)
  552. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  553.
  554. [01:03] The Syndicate Underboss would be under the belief that Mr. Glass had taken the remote! "I don't think Mr. Glass is around here. He put him in the collar then darted off." Meter would explain, before glancing to Sarasha.
  555.
  556. "You can break his bones. But leave him alive. We're going to use him to bait the knights."
  557. (Meter)
  558. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  559.
  560. [01:03] It was a flicker as he tossed his head back. Dodging the kick meant for his chin. The nobleman barked out a laugh as he watched the woman.
  561.
  562. "You're a fiery woman, what's wrong a bit of pain to much for you?" As he spoke he'd groan, shaking his head slowly as he felt the loss of blood a little to keenly.
  563.
  564. No doubt with the anti-magic collar mutting his mana he'd not do so well with recovering from it. Though, with a grunt the man straightened his back and settled a half-swollen eye upon Sarasha.
  565.
  566. "Perhaps, but in the end my ancestors are smiling at me Therian. Can you say the same with a bloodied nose from a man in my state?"
  567. (Claude vey Pelleaux)
  568. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  569.
  570. [01:06] She was watching this all happen slowly but surely. A silent hum came to herself watching Sarasha fail in her attempts of trying to harm Claude the captive. A slight shake of the head. He still had his use and needed to be kept alive.
  571.
  572. "Keeping him alive will get them to slowly crawl out perhaps." They never did like to leave a certain area so it was rare catching one alone.
  573. (Aki Kurokaiyo)
  574. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  575.
  576. [01:08] She wiped her nose clean. The blood on her hands, she treasured it, but froze to her. It would not hit the ground. There was rage growing within her.
  577.
  578. "I've been cut down before decades ago, but I live to see the future. Unlike you." In her hand forms an armament of ice. A mace like weapon.
  579.
  580. She pointed the weapon of hers at him. In tandem the ice on the walls would grow.
  581.
  582. "Everyone out."
  583. (Sarasha Fenrir)
  584. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  585.
  586. [01:09] Meter nods. "Don't kill him. Buuuuuut you two are free to talk. Or fight." Writing down reports, Meter would begin to head away.
  587. (Meter)
  588. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  589.
  590. [01:12] {Item} You picked up Tanya. Dropped by Sarasha Fenrir. .
  591. [01:16] The Nobleman watched as the people started to get up and leave the cells. Well, with the walls starting to frost over the nobleman took a breath. Steadying himself as he called upon a Rasalhague.
  592.
  593. There was a clash of energy as the chair he was sitting in shattered into pieces. A rush of cosmic energy funneling through him as he did so.
  594.
  595. This was the power of Rasalhague, pushing him to keep going when his body screamed in pain. In a flash he'd dart over to grab a chunk of bone from a corpse upon the ground swirling back around to face the Fenrir.
  596.
  597. His lips curled softly as he took felt a pulse of Rasalhague go through his veins. "Well, come on. I don't have all day." He wasn't some scared peasant who'd been captured or even a spoilt nobleman.
  598.
  599. He was the Pelleaux and it'd take more than this to break his pride.
  600. (Claude vey Pelleaux)
  601. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  602.
  603. [01:26] {GUILD} You contributed 9247c to House Pelleaux
  604. [01:27] {Item} You drop Tanya.
  605. [01:28] Lucian butt smacked.
  606. (Lucian Valintine)
  607. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  608.
  609. [01:42] In this small environment, the two still seemed to fight without restraint. The two clashed their swordsmanship and let the sparks fly!
  610.
  611.
  612. "You wouldn't even have a day if I had no respect for their boss!" Sarasha shouted as she drew second blood, only to the headbutt.
  613.
  614. The blunt headed sword first collided with the mans chest and launched him into the wall of the cavern. Shattered ice hung in the vicinity, levitating with the gravity magic. Then the ice shards were commanded to impale him against the wall.
  615.
  616. It wouldn't be that easy.
  617.
  618. The man jumped to her only to only to be parried, yet in tendem the flash of light magic swarmed her. However he may have been fighting back now, she held too many advantages. The room quickly obscured in a blizzard. One he would not escape!
  619.
  620. It was freezing and she'd not care how badly they suffered from it. He wouldreceive a plethora of surface scratches, but yet they fought on still.
  621.
  622. "Let's see how you fare the chill of my apathy!"
  623.
  624. This time she would show her skill. Once more to mock the man and thereafter parrying the spare rib he used, Sarasha let her foot fly up. An acrobatic with grace, the Matriarch kicked him up by his chin and flipped back. In his daze, he may still be able to see her meet the surface of the cavern wall.
  625.
  626. "You'll learn your place here. I'll make you feel so cold you'll forget what it means to have emotion."
  627.
  628. Her head shot up and she kicked off the frosted surface. A bee-line made for him with the blunt tip focused to his chest. Driving it to, but not letting it pierce the man, she pinned him to the wall and let him be incased with the ice.
  629.
  630. "Now freeze." She said without much a tone and no expression.
  631.
  632. The blizzard was focused from behind her and swarmed past. Rapidly cooling thenoble. The ice surrounded him and dug into their chest. The perpetual feeling of an icy chill remaining in their body for the remainder of their life.
  633.
  634. "Perhaps a studder to your tongue may amuse the others."
  635. (Sarasha Fenrir)
  636. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  637.
  638. [01:52] Aki just shook her head.
  639. (Aki Kurokaiyo)
  640. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  641.
  642. [01:52] It was a fight he was desperate to win and with the flow of cosmic man coursing through his veins he'd push against the matriarch of the Fenrir. Armed with a shiv and the raw power of his stare.
  643.
  644. The setting wasn't ideal, for him it was evident the moment the cold started setting in. Yet, he fought with the same fury of a cornered beast.
  645.
  646. It was a shame that he didn't hear most of what she was saying. Either from the concussive force, the freezing temperature, or the fact by now he'd lost more blood and an ear than most people could handle.
  647.
  648. Yet, as he felt the chill he knew what it'd meant. He had lost and the taint of ice settled deeply into his chest as he did so. It was as if he'd been thrown naked into the frozen trundra. His gaze looked up at the woman as she spoke.
  649.
  650. The shuddering cold was something he'd never truly known. Being born in Osrona where the temperature was always temperate. Now though? It was horrible, he could feel it freezing his lungs even now.
  651.
  652. He'd lost this fight, as he'd lost the others. Defeta after defeat when it mattered. This was what happened when you settled down into peace.
