- Kamishiro made a troubled face, tilting his head to the side at the question.
- “Hmmm, I don’t think I can. After all, no one knows where they are…”
- “No one knows…? So, they’re missing?”
- “I wouldn’t call it missing, per se…” Kamishiro’s expression only became more and more
- concerned, his tone of voice growing more serious to match, “The individual named Izuru
- Kamukura isn’t a member of the regular school, the Reserve Course or the teaching staff. In fact,
- I can’t find any mention of that person’s name anywhere in Hope’s Peak Academy… No boys,
- no girls, no students that are presently attending or graduated.”
- “…Huh?”
- No mentions anywhere… it’s like they’re a ghost.
- “I think the most likely possibility is… someone wiped the record clean. Nasty business,
- honestly. I believe it would have been someone involved with the school… but not someone in
- the inner circle, it would be too risky for them.”
- “So then… there’s an accomplice within the school?”
- “It’s strange, though: for as long I’ve been investigating it, I haven’t found a single student who
- actually knows who this Izuru Kamukura is. The school began hiding them after the incident, so
- it wouldn’t be strange if there were students who knew about them before it happened… But I
- never thought there’d be no sign of their existence from the very beginning.”
- “N-no way… They really are a ghost…”
- “S-stop that! They’re not anything like a ghost!” Kamishiro puffed out his cheeks, seeming
- displeased with the turn the conversation had taken.
- “A-anyway…” He cleared his throat slightly and adjusted his expression to a more serious one as
- he spoke. “No matter what the reason is, if we don’t find out who Izuru Kamukura is, we may
- have no choice but to give up…”
