Old Man Logs

1. Natsuo Uchiha
Hmm...Ho... Oh a talented young man with a powerful friend. A shame he doesn't speak to it often, it would be a wealth of information. His techniques are quite strong, and his capacity impressive. He focuses more on Genjutsu than I do, but perhaps I could tell him some useful stories. Proper rest and relaxation is a oft-underestimated part of training. I sense great things in his future. All around a perfect example of what most Konohagakure would strive to become.

2. D

Ahh...A odd child. I vaguely recall meeting his brother before. An unpleasant hooligan who attacked my pet Fluffy several times during my travels trying to 'save' me. I've little to offer the lad in way of guidance, Taijutsu was more of an afterthought for me. With a good group of friends to straighten him out he'll become a good fighter, but its too early to really tell how he'll turn out.

3. Himari Miko

It would be unfair to gauge them as a combatant. Her skills will be legendary one day, perhaps rivalling my own in a different school. Where I enslave powerful jutsus and create endless contracts, she is able to cure ailments and diseases few can tackle. I will have to keep her in mind when my body starts to fail me. Perhaps she would appreciate my tales in a way most of these younger generations fail to.

4. Takeru Suzuki

A wonderful match for the other Sunglasses-Clad child in his team. I never much cared for getting around that fast when there's so much to do and so much to see. What's wrong with taking the backstreets? Another one with high potential. His reserves are bigger than he realizes to pull off such a technique with any regularity at his age and experience. I suspect he won't be able to sit still long enough to learn anything from my stories however. Sparring with D will bring the both of them up in strength quite rapidly I feel.

5. Osamu

I think he's recieved an unfair reputation. But I was never considered exactly the most normal person myself. His knowledge exceeds mine in certain areas, but is definately more on the knowledge than practice side of things. We could likely speak at great length if he decided to listen to my stories. I just wouldn't want to let him anywhere near Fluffy. Perfection is overrated.

6. Shimabukuro Fumio

Ahh, so that's where the crown went. This team certainly likes its bugs. I find them annoying personally. I feel rather bad for him, I could have atleast given him some company had we run into eachother during his exile. I just hope nobody realizes the potential of the artifact he holds. I find him unlikely to be able to defend it properly and without it his skills are...Lacking. No better teacher than the one he has though. Give him another fifty years and he may prove himself yet. The closest to a normal child to come through this year and its an older man than even myself.

7. Kichona

Uhm hmm. Now that I think about it the relationship between puppet and master is a bit...Much. Who ever wanted a daughter to perfectly follow their every command? The rebellion only makes the familial love that much more real. As a creation it is quite impressive, but the mental defects make it a product that I would take back to the lab personally. It hasn't had a chance to prove itself though, perhaps given a few more years it will even out and grow in ability. Or one of the two will snap and both will end up dead. Fifty fifty odds.

8. Nodao-Douji

Now there's a useful substance to be able to produce, alcohol on demand! A good person to spend time with, but I feel like we have no common ground beyond a love of drink. I'm too simple and calm for one with so much fire in their blood. Taijutsu remains out of my realm of expertise so I cannot particularly guess at her future. I feel another might have been a better teacher for this one. I believe the pairing was made to teach the creation a love for battle, surely a bad idea in the long run but few will listen to me about a balanced and healthy life being the key to true power.

9. Kamiko Karatachi

Not one I would get along with too well I fear, as much as I could tell them they would trust none of it. A crying (heh) shame because they would be a perfect successor to my techniques if they would get over being an emotional black hole that sucks in every bit of misery around them. Their friend is a odd one, a polar opposite. I wonder who really thought this binding through. Still, with some training it would keep her alive through quite a number of injuries if only to preserve its own strength.

10. Masukuda Rarime

Ahh...This new generation surprises me. So much chakra in such small vessels. An unfortunate upbringing and very little that I could offer her, Genjutsu was never my specialty and I'm not one for subtle. Atleast she'll have a understanding teacher to try and fix the broken pieces back together.

11. Ichika Chinoike

Speaking of my own techniques! She may have the cheaters eye, but she has all the building blocks to make a great apprentice. Alas she has already started down the path of the bleeding heart and her teacher will only enforce that more. I may have to step in and teach her some of the more effective methods of putting her own blood to use...If she will listen to my stories.

12. Kita

More stealth, more Genjutsu. A blank slate waiting to be written upon. They have great potential if only it can be tapped into by the right teacher. Perhaps I'll try telling him a story or two and he'll actually pick up on what I'm trying to teach him. So much can be done with the simplest seals...Ones own body can become a weapon if its covered in Jutsu sealed in the days before.

13. Kiko Inuzuka

Ahh.. Unlucky in life, I feel she suffers some of the same eccentricies I do leading to trouble getting people to take her seriously despite her intellect. I know I would be quite shaken if I had to eat my Fluffy, we grow so attached to our favorite pets...Nomatter how sharp their fangs. I don't think I have anything to offer them beyond quiet understanding. Perhaps they would enjoy a cup of tea and someone who knows what its like.

14. Remilia Orochimaru

So very many medical ninja these days. I suppose its a result of so much war. The death and bloodshed has a quiet effect on the next generation. Its far too early to guess where she will end up, a blank slate with no real specialization at this time. Her basics are great for one of her age and theres no doubt she can learn a lot with the help of the various aspiring medics around.

15. Itami Nanae

(It was many years before I learned that he wasn't a girl. He has good skill and reserves, but he's a bit of a fop. If his Grandfather hadn't been so useless maybe he would have been able to live a normal life. Instead when I was off saving his sorry ass my...Ah...I'll have to destroy this page.)

16. Kazen Uzumaki

[Noticably missinge page]
(His family has a history of failing to protect those they care about, I'm not surprised to learn he was hidden away during the worst of it. I could teach him some things, but it would be a bit painful for me. Atleast he has some of my old prayer beads to keep him safe. A younger brother of Fluffy resided within back in the day, I do wonder how it has grown. - Ah... This page too)

17. Ezaki Tuto

Huhm. Smart to say the very least, very little to nothing to say about him honestly. Aside from his obviously painful past he has created his own few little techniques and has potential to really perform some decent Jutsu.

18. Jin Hyuga

Taijutsu again, very little to offer as a result. He seems like he'll be one to watch in the future at any rate when he comes into his own with his techniques. Don't think we would get along really, Infact I should probably keep my distance lest he cause some problems with his eyes.

19. Shinro Kamotai

He has an impressive toolbox of techniques and deep chakra reserves, I think he could do some very interesting things with his Ink and Sealing arts. With the right guidance he could start to engrave techniques ahead of time like me. I'm not very religious but most of those types rather dislike my techniques.

20. Yuma Kouda

For one of her age she has some powerful techniques, two Kekkai Genkai one of which is quite powerful. But she lacks heavily in her basic techniques and almost compeltely devoid of other techniques. When her trick fails her she would likely be helpless. I'm not sure why she dresses as she does, I suppose to convince people she's a underage prostitute or something?

21. Tsugumi

The librarian would be a fine person to hang out with, great reserves of knowledge of all sorts and useful techniques. One of the few people who might be able to understand my stories. Were both here to scout the future generations for different reasons. I'm not sure how she got roped into teaching a team.

22. Ghidorah

Inks, Poisons, Bugs. So many of these this generation that I wonder what must have happened to lead to it. I know some things that happened during the war were questionable, but this is quite ridiculous. He has a small knack for using his blood but with no natures and no training I don't think he could be a student. Atleast he has a appropriate teacher.

23. Junki Takenaga

Mmh. A talent to be sure, quite sharp for his age. And to already master such a versatile Elemental release will prove him good in time. Though his current techniques are narrow I see great things in the future for the young lad. As he grows he may yet achieve Sagehood or somesuch due to his connection to the birds, which will make him quite the threat. Keep an eye on this one.

24. Sen Yamamoto

Certainly has the perfect teacher for her skillset, but I don't know that she'll find the tests too easily accomplished when it comes time for the combat portions. Smart and a quick learner, but almost no combat abilities to speak of. She will make a great information broker and asset to any team who can properly utilize her talents, and this group is intelligent enough to put her to use. Not much for me to teach here, but maybe we could share some stories.

25. Fujiwara Nobutake

Not one that I have much to teach, his skillset is already quite honed at that. He may prove tactful enough to be good company thanks to his proper upbringing but I doubt any of my stories will be helpful. Im not sure what he hopes to gain by taking Ninja tests.

26. Kamare Hozuki

Genjutsu remains out of my main skillset, but atleast this one has some interest in water based jutsus. I think Hydration could be quite a potent cloak for defensive techniques. I think of most interest would be to see how Hydration could combine with natural energy, but it may prove dangerous to their mental state to combine the two. My own studies were far from gentle on my mind.

27. Daiki Ueno

One of the few who studies rituals. Though he seems of little consequence at a glance I think he actually has quite the potential if he lives to make use of it. A very sturdy base to expand out his training from. With the right guidance and a nudge here and there I think I could turn him into a formidible ritualist, Earth is uniquely suited for large scale creations that hide in plain sight and gravekeepers tend not to shy away from a little bit of work with dead bodies.

28. Rio Konoki

Ah, one I mustn't speak of too plainly lest I make an enemy by accident. Older than she seems. A textbook example of Ninja the way they were meant to be. A good person to share a cup of tea with and hit up for information, and one of the few who can translate my stories into practical knowledge. Their lack of ambition makes them unlikely to ever try to learn from me.

29. Mitsuteru Chihoshi

Hmmh. Ah. Now there's an interesting young lad! With the right training and a few nudges here and there he could very well surpass me in a few small ways. For his age he's comparatively well trained in some of my techniques. I cannot say I feel such guilt myself, but if he listens to my words there's no telling what depths he might reach. - Though he really aught to put that self-destruction to better use. Blood would suit him well.

30. Kuro Blackshadow

At a glance more of the same with her teammate, but in truth I feel she's quite the goody twoshoes. I cannot judge Taijutsu very well but her Shadow techniques are quite impressive. And more importantly, quite underestimated due to her personality. There's little I could teach her except perhaps to stop with all the strange chanting, only maybe one in ten words she uses in combat are actually part of the ritual.

31. Choko Yumiya

Too early to judge how this one will turn out, they seem, despite their life experience, to be one of the less mature of their peers. I have nothing to offer them most likely, and I would be far too worried about making them cry. Too soft by twice again to handle the real world. With any luck her teammates will help toughen her up. - On that note if I were a betting man I would say this is a very dangerous team for the Forest. Two very skilled sensors, Two very skilled strikers one close and one far, and the utility and danger of turning the entire forest against their foes...Rio knows how to plan a team I suppose.

32. Inaba Hyuga

...Eh? A prank right? How did he go from preying on students in the forest to leading a team? Fighting twelve year olds hardly makes for good practice, I think he will find himself outclassed against many of the other instructors if he tries to break the rules. He's atleast amusing at any rate, You should see the spin he can put on a kid after he punts them.

33. Mojo Nakasendou

Once he was to be my star pupil. Alas the war did a number on my free time and he's fallen in with a poor crowd now. I really should pick him back up, with the right guidance he could become very powerful. I already drilled the importance of rituals into him from a young age and he seems to have not shirked on his training since. He's not wrong by the way, most of the village were fools who refused to heed my warnings.

34. Kitsumoto Hachiro/Hanagi Ikou

So many young geniuses have been born from this war. He lost more than many of the kids did on a personal level. He definately has a strong basis to train from, but little of what I practice would interest I feel as he's more of a traditionalist. I'm too old and tired to be dealing with deaf students aswell. Perhaps he would surprise me and become a valuable student but as it is there are better suited individuals.

35. Eiken Shinzo

One must question the artists attention to detail. If we meet again I shall be certain to offer him clothing, a twelve year old may get away with it but before long he must start wearing pants. Nothing much to speak of here, his focus is elsewhere and his nature opposite of my own. Though perhaps I could commision a nice figurine or two to store my pets in.

36.  Taiho Shiryo

They really will just seal a beast in anyone these days won't they? If it were any more useful perhaps it would have been stolen long ago. There's little to say here, at the very least he shouldn't struggle with the written exams. I don't expect them to live long, the world is too cruel for someone like this to make it far, willpower and dedication can only make up for so much of a gap in strength. His best hope is to become a lackey to someone like Inaba.

37. Eiji

So that's where my old friend went. I suppose his attempt at immortality was a failure. The kid himself is...A dime a dozen somehow. Any other generation and he would be remarkable, against so many other geniuses he ends up being quite average. There are better students to seek out, and this one hardly seems to have the heart for my kind of training.

38. Ahiratsu Otsutsuki

A seamstress. She mended my clothes once. It was worth the coinage, but I have little else to say about them.

39. Darkbone Nightblood Shadowscar

Such a delusional young man. I still can't believe his father actually taught him wrong as a joke, what a prankster. I miss our gambling nights. He never forgave me after losing that game of chinchiro.

40. Kijyo-Douji

You have very big hands miss. - A good drinking partner, but otherwise we have little in common.

41. Engetsu Bofu

The kids seem to laugh at his name for some reason. He's at his last legs, but was quite legendary in his prime. Not someone who I would like to discuss politics with but a drink and some stories wouldn't go amiss.

42. Insane Wild Boar

I could go for lunch.

43. ???

Not all kids came out of the war stronger for it.

44. Setsu Suru

This clown was always a hilarious performer, I don't know why everyone else lacked appreciation of his work.

45. Sado Mazohisuto

A shame that she's already dying, the right teachings and guidance and she could have been quite the pupil. Perhaps I should make a point to seek her out and atleast offer some last minute advice on how to improve herself. I doubt even the most desperate of contracts could turn her luck around though. What a shame.

46. Kanami-Douji

Mmh. Another of the indviduals who actually may have something I can learn. She has an opposing nature to my own, but some of our techniques are quite similar. Im sure we could compare ritual notes and both come out with some fresh new ideas. Perhaps we could make a truly special blade out of Blood-Iron and natural energy? It does sound rather poetic.
