- [RC] Shadow (Blink): From tulpa.info:
- The next step in relation to sensory details is smell. You want to create a general smell for your tulpa. It can be as subtle or harsh as you want. Smell is important because of all our senses it triggers memory the best. Use this to your advantage! Skipping smell is something a lot of people like to do, but I feel it is very counteractive in the end. You only have to spend around 3 to 10 hours on smell.
- [RC] Shadow (Blink): Pin-pon, I can't smell :P
- Sun Butt: you can't smell?
- [RC] Shadow (Blink): at least, not very well
- GibdoMaskLink entered chat.
- Vinyl_: You don't *need* a sense of smell for a tulpa. There's a few people on that forum with no sense of smell that have tulpae.
- [RC] Shadow (Blink): generally on an everyday basis: no
- GibdoMaskLink: what did I miss?
- Sun Butt: GibdoMaskLink disconnected.
- Sun Butt: or that

- Vinyl_: Also, I'm going to tell you right now: If you have even the slightest interest in a tulpa, do *not* pay attention to hour counts
- Vinyl_: Vinyl_: Also, I'm going to tell you right now: If you have even the slightest interest in a tulpa, do *not* pay attention to hour counts
- Sun Butt: ^ that
- GibdoMaskLink disconnected.
- Vinyl_: (repost to make sure this is seen)
- [RC] Shadow (Blink): what do you mean don't pay attention
- Sun Butt: I'll paste bin all this for Link
- [RC] Shadow (Blink): I get "don't stare at a clock and wait for it to be up" but if it's used as a rough guide shouldn't you at least follow it?
- GibdoMaskLink entered chat.
- Sun Butt: poor Link
- GibdoMaskLink: :c
- Vinyl_: Hell, there's one guy that had a sentient tulpa in one 90 minute session. Which is a little maddening. lol.
- Vinyl_: What about wonderland? It's friggin wonderland. hehe
- Sun Butt: about your adventure!
- Sun Butt: jesus he had one that quick?!
- Vinyl_: Now this conversation is about me? lol.
- GibdoMaskLink entered chat.
- Vinyl_: Yeah. I don't even know how XD
- Sun Butt: well it might inspire him, and it's a cute story
- Vinyl_: I guuueesss it's cute. Was a while ago and details are already getting fuzzy. hehe
- Vinyl_: Shad, what guide are you reading?
- [RC] Shadow (Blink): say it say it
- GibdoMaskLink disconnected.
- [RC] Shadow (Blink): "FAQman-guide-for-special-people.html"
- Vinyl_: I'm pretty sure you're reading the one most people would say to avoid like the plauge
- Vinyl_: Yes, go away from that
- Vinyl_: far far away
- Vinyl_: lol
- Vinyl_: Yeah. Basically everything in FAQman's is considered bad to do now
- Vinyl_: Hour counts? bad. Not parroting? also bad
- Vinyl_: IAMA person developing a tulpa, AMA. :P
- Sun Butt: haha
- Sun Butt: does your tulpa like cats?
- Vinyl_: Uncertain at this point. Tani and I still have to work on communication.
- Vinyl_: I think it's getting better though.
- Sun Butt: I've been working with Simon, all I see at this point is a little blue ball =P
- Vinyl_: Oh, you've started?
- Vinyl_: ^.^
- Vinyl_: MFW YOU DIDN'T TELL ME
- [RC] Shadow (Blink): are they permanent, can you have more than one, can you 'delete' a tupa (if only temporarily), do they come and go as they please or only when called upon etc, how do you seriously see them... really, how? I can't get past that
- Vinyl_: Hold up, give me a second to answer these individually
- Vinyl_: 1: They're permanent for as long as you want them to be. You can get rid of a tulpa, if you truly want to.
- Vinyl_: 2: Yes, you can. Many people on the forum seem to have 1-3. I believe the most that one person has, that is confirmed and that I know of, is 11 tulpae
- Vinyl_: 3: I think I answered this in question 1, yes
- Vinyl_: 4: Sort of both. Something like this will probably depend greatly on the personality they have, and how you treat them.
- Vinyl_: 5: There's kind of two different ways of "seeing" a tulpa. The first is sort of through the "mind's eye", which is sorta hard to explain. It's sort of like dreaming, and it looks real, but the image isn't actually visible, so to speak
- Vinyl_: Usualy a schizo has a "bad" entity haunting them, yeah?
- GibdoMaskLink disconnected.
- GibdoMaskLink entered chat.
- Sun Butt: yep
- Vinyl_: They have no control over what that entity is, what it does
- Vinyl_: A tulpa, you always *can* take control if you need to. Obviously they may not like that
- Vinyl_: Like if I forcefully make Rarity bend his arm, he'd be like WTF
- GibdoMaskLink disconnected.
- GibdoMaskLink entered chat.
- Vinyl_: You probably wouldn't like someone forcefully controlling you, they wouldn't either.
- GibdoMaskLink: Back to stealing internet i guess :c
- Vinyl_: 7: No. nonono.
- Vinyl_: And on the topic of 7
- Vinyl_: Some people seem to have this fear of "a tulpa is going to cause you to kill yourself"
- Vinyl_: No. That's totally stupid.
- Vinyl_: Think about it
- Vinyl_: It resides in your mind
- Vinyl_: If it offs you, it offs itself
- Vinyl_: And regardless
- Vinyl_: Your tulpa has no reason to show resentment to you...unless you fucking rape it or something
- Vinyl_: Even then, it is powerless
- Vinyl_: The thing about tulpa is, they can't just gain abilities
- [RC] Shadow (Blink): but it resides in your mind
- Vinyl_: You have to work on giving it that ability, together
- Vinyl_: for example
- Vinyl_: Things like possession are possible
- Vinyl_: Yes, you can allow your tulpa control of your body
- Vinyl_: (cool right?)
