- Basic Premise: Players play up to two matches, one being for position and an optional warmup match prior. The victor is based on who gains 20 kills in their HUD scoreboard first, this can take place over multiple MGE rounds or one.
- Warmup:
- - Limited to one MGE round or predetermined time, regardless of kills or credit
- - Completely optional, does not affect the game aside from target HUD Scoreboard kills
- Match:
- - If a Warmup was played, the winner will be the first to have however many kills they gained in the warmup + 20 kills
- For example, if I gain 17 kills in warmup, I win at 37 kills on my HUD scoreboard
- - Victor wins whatever is at stake, be it ranking position or tournament placement/advancement
- - Banned items include:
- - Any primary aside from the Rocket Jumper
- - Battalion's Backup is not allowed
- - Shotgun is not allowed
- - Reserve Shooter is not allowed
- - Panic Attack is not allowed
- - Any secondary otherwise is fair, if both players agree to their use
- - Market Gardener is required
- - Multiple rounds of MGE are allowed and do not directly affect the victor
- - They are required if neither player has 20 kills credited to them on top of their optional warmup round kills by the end of the first MGE round
- Outside of the match:
- - An unranked challenger may only challenge the current rank 5 holder
- - A ranked challenger may only challenge the ranked player 1 above him
- - If the challenger loses they do not advance in rank or recieve rank and must wait 1 day before challenging again
- - If the holder loses the match they lose their rank and will drop to the rank they were challenged by
- For example, if Rank 5 challenges for Rank 4 and wins, the rank 4 holder will drop to rank 5 and the rank 5 holder will advance to rank 4
- - The rank holder will forfeit a challenge if:
- - The holder does not respond to a challenge within 10 days
- - The Challenger will forfeit if:
- - The challenge will be null and void if attempting to skip ranks
- For example, if the holder of Rank 5 challenges the holder of Rank 3 directly
- - Either player will forfeit if:
- - The agreed upon ruleset and loadout by both players are broken
