  1. [14:53] Uri Sanctum asks, "Did I go the wrong way??"
  2. [15:00] Basten says, "..."
  3. [15:00] Uri Sanctum exclaims, "Hey! Careful!"
  4. [15:00] Basten asks, "Ain't that the one, who injured the mountain?"
  5. [15:00] Uri Sanctum exclaims, "Don't move!"
  6. [15:00] Basten says, "Oh... Don't worry, we aren't going... Anywhere."
  7. [15:00] Uri Sanctum exclaims, "It can smell humans pretty easily!"
  8. [15:01] Basten says, "He can back up and we'll talk outside."
  9. [15:01] Bastion says, "I have been told by Mountain, to not harm his kin."
  10. [15:01] Uri Sanctum says, "You have to be careful if you're going for those crystals."
  11. [15:01] Basten says, "If he's friend with the mountain. I just want to ask him a question or two..."
  12. [15:01] Bastion asks, "Perhaps , outside we do this, yes?"
  13. [15:01] Basten says, "No worries, we won't be going after them..."
  14. [15:01] Bastion says, "Away from the beast."
  15. [15:02] Uri Sanctum says, "Just need one more swift movement anddd..."
  16. [15:02] Uri Sanctum says, "Alright."
  17. [15:02] Basten asks, "Right then... Just need you to answer two questions. If you don't mind. Yeah?"
  18. [15:03] Uri Sanctum says, "Go ahead. Had some of my own."
  19. [15:03] Bastion exclaims, "I have defeated the weakned beast!"
  20. [15:03] Basten asks, "You're a part of Osrona, correct? And will you be a part of the war that's looking to kill off us, Rhoynish?"
  21. [15:04] Uri Sanctum says, "See, that's where my question comes in as well.. But, no, I won't be killing anyone... Tell me something, I hear a lot about this, Rhoynish slavery."
  22. [15:04] Basten asks, "What about it?"
  23. [15:04] Uri Sanctum says, "I never heard of it till I visited the jail where Tea was held."
  24. [15:04] Uri Sanctum says, "And again after I ran into your High Lady."
  25. [15:04] Bastion says, "Yes! The evils of Osrona."
  26. [15:05] Basten says, "You clearly don't read many books then... But that's important. What about the Rhoynish slavery did you want to know about."
  27. [15:05] Bastion says, "The Osronan's library may not hold their evil text of us."
  28. [15:05] Bastion says, "To make them the good guys."
  29. [15:05] Bastion says, "But we Basten, we are the good guys."
  30. [15:05] Bastion says, "Yes."
  31. [15:05] Basten says, "True..."
  32. [15:05] Basten says, "Would be expected actually."
  33. [15:06] Bastion Continues to beat on the Firey beast within
  34. (Bastion)
  35. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  36.
  37. [15:10] He shakes his head. "No, I read many books my friend... It's just that, everything I've read. All of the history has not shown anything about slavery, only about the great Witch Hunt and how it lead to us gaining the prominence we have now."
  38.
  39. But that is where Uri had some clear confusion... He thought much about Cruinne ever since that day. "Cruinne told me that he was one to fight for freedom, for an equal justice between humans and the Rhoynish… I never expected to meet him on that bridge... You guys being Rhoynish had nothing to do with why I fought... I thought you were all simple bandits, looking to kill."
  40.
  41. That's when he would fold his arms. "Honestly, what your High Lady said made me wonder about a lot of things... She might be cruel, but I knew she was not lying when she spoke from the soul."
  42.
  43. "It's why I must ask, how long has this slavery been going on for?" He grew curious... About a potential void in history. "I'm a medic and I've read almost every book, yet, I saw nothing of the Rhoynish, only hearing tales by the ear."
  44. (Uri Sanctum)
  45. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  46.
  47. [15:15] He'd never taken to thought that possibly Osrona, would eliminate a few pages from history. Listening as the medic spoke, "Well..." Sucking at his metallic teeth, the Rhoynish gave a long, hard, stare in direction of Uri.
  48.
  49. Examining closely for signs of lying or foul play.
  50.
  51. Only after sometime did he decide to speak up, but not before sighing in defeat. "It's rumored the entire thing happened over a conflict held between the former emperor and queen of Rhoynish… I guess you could call him. Either way, her blood ran the thickest with that of Njorun. Our primordial lord. That same blood flows through Penelope, so I can see how you'd consider her words to be from the soul."
  52.
  53. After-all, they were. No matter the suggestions offered or bluntness behind them. "She speaks for us all, and in return? We all rise when she falls, we climb so that she can the day of freedom. The freedom we all Rhyonish seek." Lacing both hands into the pocket pits between flesh and leather armor.
  54.
  55. Yanking at it briefly he continued in his small rambling. "Either way, it's supposedly started between them. Affairs of marriage falling through because the old man couldn't defeat her. For that? He'd turned the entire nation on our people, too egotistical to suck it up and carry his pride elsewhere. And so, war was waged and we'd nearly defeated them until Osrona swung the tides of war in their favor... Which eventually led to our enslavement. It's only recently we've been freed from shackles, and we'll be damned if we return to them."
  56. (Basten)
  57. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  58.
  59. [15:18] Bastion says, "Excuse me"
  60. [15:18] Uhli asks, "Eh?"
  61. [15:19] Bastion says, "Basten is having a conversation down here"
  62. [15:19] Bastion says, "Can we speak, up north."
  63. [15:19] Uhli asks, "Why speak?"
  64. [15:19] Bastion says, "Yes"
  65. [15:19] Bastion says, "Words are so useful today"
  66. [15:19] Uhli says, "Uhli came for ore."
  67. [15:19] Uhli says, "Not talk."
  68. [15:20] Bastion says, "If we talk, we know of each other"
  69. [15:20] Bastion says, "We improve"
  70. [15:20] Uhli says, ". . ."
  71. [15:20] Uhli looks to Uri, raising a brow.
  72. (Uhli)
  73. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  74.
  75. [15:20] Uhli asks, "Uri knows these people?"
  76. [15:23] So there it was. Another reason for him to lose the trust he had given to the old Queen... The history that has been destroyed, torn out of the pages he sought to read from... That's when, he thought to ask, of all times, he had the image of that old friend and occasional mentor in mind. "And Cruinne, the mountain, has he recovered?..." Uri asked this through a respect Cruinne taught him, the respect of freedom, not going by a knights code of order, subjecting people to speak.
  77.
  78. He would approach Basten, "A history gone, and a new history made within the blink of an eye."
  79.
  80. He examines the one before him, "I never knew the difference between us, yet, there are many gaps to cross, aren't they?----Uhli? What are you doing down here?" Asked the young medic...
  81.
  82. "Please excuse my friend... He saw nothing, he knows -nothing-... Right Uhli?" Uri had an expectation, that compliance would be awarded.
  83.
  84. "My next question... You think, that a bridge could be made? To close the gap between Osrona and the Rhoynish?... See, I do not wish for war... Never did, because of what Cruinne told me, I want to assure a peace, if it is possible..." He sighs. "Since I am a medic, would you say that a peace could be forged, through my acts of mending the wounds of the people from your settlement?" He spoke the language of the diplomats.
  85. (Uri Sanctum)
  86. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  87.
  88. [15:24] Bastion says, "'Uhil', hello, yes."
  89. [15:30] "Histories repeated itself more than once. We're already doing it, now." Spreading his arms, the mere fact they'd ran into each other wasn't mere... Fate, but simply an act of vengeance held by the Rhoynish lad against the likes of Osrona and their inhabitants.
  90.
  91. "In a few months time, the idea of bridging peace will be decided. Who will arrive, who won't. We won't be able to just idle and let the people who join Osrona be, free? Does that sound fair, to us?" Claimed with both hands wrapping around his coated waist.
  92.
  93. "In the end, words mean so little, but I won't stop you. If you think you can make a difference. Go ahead, try, but know. Our people will only see you as an expectation. You, alone, can't change our mind over the likes of many. What can one medic do when two sides are coming into collision? I wonder... Really. But those are the type of tales you tell to fairies." Nodding his head carefully.
  94.
  95. His gaze shifted over towards the new arrival. Not exactly enacting any hostilities towards them. The lad seemed more intent on getting his point across.
  96.
  97. "If you arrive in Illburg alongside the army, you'll be considered an enemy... If you arrive before then and offer aid? You'll be considered an ally... At the moment? That's about as much as I can promise you. I'm sure you understand... Politics and all that jazz isn't my thing. I just speak with my heart, from all the experiences I've had so far."
  98. (Basten)
  99. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  100.
  101. [15:30] Yani orn Task says, "Oh dear."
  102. [15:33] "Eh?"
  103.
  104. His eyes narrow as he overhears a brief part of their conversation and has Uri address him in the middle of it. Then does he look over to the two strangers that stand before him. Looking them over.
  105.
  106. Rhoynish.
  107.
  108. Their features of his race are undeniable. But unlike him, they seem to be of Ilburg. A look is taken back to Uri, with a simple nod being given to them. Then he listens to the younger of the two of the desert speak.
  109.
  110. "Uhli only came for ore, but no ore."
  111.
  112. He shrugs and with that? He turns and begins walking off as casually as he approached.
  113. (Uhli)
  114. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  115.
  116. [15:35] Bastion says, "I simply wish to speak for a momment, Uhil."
  117. [15:35] Bastion says, "Yes"
  118. [15:35] Bastion says, "North"
  119. [15:36] Uhli says, "Uhli don't want to."
  120. [15:36] Bastion says, "Okay"
  121. [15:36] Uhli says, "Leaving."
  122. [15:38] There were many factors... Many risk, but the young Phoenix brought it all down to one conclusion, that he will have to go. He needed to after all, didn't he? To make sure Cruinne was safe, to make sure that no war would come to Osrona soon... So, Uri would release a sigh.
  123.
  124. "Even so, I am only one who will set a certain standard... My help will be from my own hand, and not through the orders of my king, princess or anyone..."
  125.
  126. He would turn to Uhli… "Old friend, I have a request of you, and of you two as well... I will make it known, that the actions I am taking, is not to give EITHER side an advantage over the other, but to break the shackles we hold on eachothers necks..."
  127.
  128. Uri would begin making his way towards the rocky stairs. "I will need the two of you to escort me to your settlement... And I will give the king, my departure before I go... This fine with you? Uhli will do no benefit even if he stayed, but I'm sure I can mend the injuries of many within your home and take in Trauma kits from Osrona for as long as I could, no?" He waits for their answer... He wanted to see Cruinne and hear the history from Penelope herself.
  129.
  130. "The only person I'll regret not seeing before I go, is Marie."
  131. (Uri Sanctum)
  132. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  133.
  134. [15:46] "Hm..." Massaging his chin rather thoroughly, he listened close. "I see..." came first, followed by a sharp turn towards his guard. "What do you think, Bastion? Do you think he's worth the trip back home? If so... I'll do it. We'll take the medic back with us and see if he's a man of his word." Shaking his gaze free from his companion and return them back to the medic.
  135.
  136. "It's like Penelope said, she welcomes any and everyone who decides to break free from their shackles. In the end? The only thing that stops us from flying. Are ourselves. And those who seek to us like that." Running both hands through his wild deep vermillion locks, he sheltered his eyes from the random lanterns scattered across the mines.
  137.
  138. "Although, it's funny you say that... We currently don't have many medics so i'm sure, song-bird would be happy to have the help. Alongsidethe supplies for the incoming war." Nodding his head, he seemed content with the affairs.
  139.
  140. Although he didn't get the hunt he wanted, he did seem to gain an ally in the process. Parts the tension in his body easing at the possible thought of others coming to their senses as well and abandoning the city of bricks and gold before the incoming conflict.
  141. (Basten)
  142. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  143.
  144. [15:49] "Don't have many medics, huh?"
  145.
  146. He chuckled, folding his arms as hazel sights followed the scene at hand. From context, and information given from Uhli, he could see exactly what was going on. Little attention was given to those Rhoynish.. but a piercing gaze towards Uri.
  147.
  148. "Explain yourself boy."
  149.
  150. Stern in tone, clearly agitated. Again? These children wouldn't know loyalty or oathfilled bounds if they were hit upside the head with them.
  151.
  152. "Now."
  153. (August lux Solenne)
  154. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  155.
  156. [15:50] It wasn't at all what the Lightbringer expected to happen upon. When she heard the word 'Rhoynish,' she was expecting the fearsome behemoth males she had faced in her younger years.
  157.
  158. Not children...
  159.
  160. "I'd like to know what's happening here, yes. Your kind continues to pillage and thieve, with no regard for those of us who actually work for our keep."
  161.
  162. Her voice was stern, commanding, appropriate for the leader of the First Light. Right hand resting atop the hilt of her blade, though she made no move to strike.
  163.
  164. "Perhaps they need to be brought back for a bit of education."
  165. (Serea lux Petrakis)
  166. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  167.
  168. [15:52] "Yes, Basten, we will be given chance to improve. We have people to fight now."
  169.
  170. The man sounded almost excited. His goal of all of this, not to recruit faces or welcome them. Moreso to find ways to go against Osrona, and finally amongst all this chatter and talk, he'd finally be given the chance.
  171.
  172. It seems Bastion was being ignored for the time being, so he'd just idly talk to Basten.
  173.
  174. "I want to fight the one whom fight 'boss lady' yesterday. I believe it is with this clash, I will improve. And illburg will be happy." His robotic tone made it hard to read him, but his words were clear.
  175.
  176. He wanted to get himself a fight.
  177. (Bastion)
  178. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  179.
  180. [15:52] "Rhoynish and Uri."
  181.
  182. He'd stop above the pit in which the three conversing are. Behind him are the Lightbringer and Radiant he'd found after rushing back into town. For him to be allowed back, explanation or not?
  183.
  184. It was foolish.
  185.
  186. The Rhoynish teenager grins from ear to ear as he stares down. Specifically staring at Bastion and Basten. The two caught in enemy territory as of now while making arrangements with one Uri looking to desert.
  187.
  188. "Uhli not soldier, but loyal to King and mother."
  189. (Uhli)
  190. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  191.
  192. [15:52] Uri would reply to the final comment about the war. "It's that exact thing I am trying to prevent, but we shall see how it plays out. It's my only duty as a man who practice the philosophy of the phoenix..."
  193.
  194. That's when he heard August Lux Solenne… He would turn around. "Sir August, I was just about to come and look for you all... I think I might have found a way to stop this coming war... By giving myself up, and preventing any more attacks on our people of Osrona…" He noticed the tone taken by his superior..
  195.
  196. "You don't think I'm a traitor... Do you?..." He looks between the three of them "Uhli, tell them... I'm just doing my duties, to protect our people," the young Sanctum spoke his case... Now looking back at the two Rhoynish as Serea spoke to them about being thieve and pillaging the land.
  197.
  198. "I thought it'd make Osrona proud, to achieve peace without violence..."
  199. (Uri Sanctum)
  200. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  201.
  202. [15:54] Serea lux Petrakis whispers something.
  203.
  204. 15:57] August lux Solenne whispers something.
  205. [15:58] August lux Solenne whispers something.
  206. [15:58] Uhli whispers something.
  207. [15:58] Maybe because he was too deep into the conversation, it allowed his heightened senses to briefly waver into a false sense of security. Turning quietly in direction of the two new arrivals.
  208.
  209. Spotting Uhli standing beside them. "As if!" He retorted almost immediately. Pulling out a heavy sack of coin, indeed. He was carrying quite the sum on him. "Basten, Owner of The Basten of Goods. I'm sure I've done more charity than you've done, your entire carrier. Woman. Unlike your city, coins mean nothing to me if it means I can help my people. And I've managed to acquire quite the wealthy through proper trade." Raising his nose up a few inches.
  210.
  211. There was one thing he'd never be disrespected on. And it'd be education, considering he was learning something new everyday. "We're all learning at the end of the day, and it looks like a lessons about to happen. Right. Now." With a swift hand he flicked his wrist, sheathing the coins back beneath his cloak.
  212.
  213. "As for what's going on, here... It's like the guy said. He wants to make an attempt at stopping this all, without any violence. I wanted to see him make an attempt at proving his words, but I guess he won't get that chance either."
  214. (Basten)
  215. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  216.
  217. [16:02] The Lightbringer simply listened to all the words spoken, her countenance shrouded by an austere expression. Gaze shifting between all present, before sighing.
  218.
  219. "There's no helping it."
  220.
  221. A nod towards August and Uhli. Given their age, she believed they'd make quick work of the duo.
  222.
  223. "Uri, your situation will be handled later. I'd appreciate if you step to the side for now. I fully understand your desire for peace, but diplomacy isn't possible with savages."
  224.
  225. There was poison behind that word, her distaste for their race clear on display. She was known for taking them as slaves, as servants, Uhli being proof of such.
  226.
  227. "Radiant Solenne, Uhli- capture these two at once."
  228.
  229. An order, waiting for blades to clash.
  230. (Serea lux Petrakis)
  231. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  232.
  233. [16:02] Serea lux Petrakis says, "Use lethal force, if necessary."
  234. [16:04] "Understood."
  235.
  236. He spoke seemingly without emotion, and to compliment it, the man who he could hear talking so much shit before was challenging him?
  237.
  238. Those hushed words to Serea held firm. She knew where he stood.
  239.
  240. Without word, without warning -- a hand rose to face palm towards Bastion.
  241.
  242. "Burn.."
  243.
  244. He spoke, almost reluctantly -- expecting little from this individual as explosions began to erupt in the areas surrounding him. To react, or give in to capture?
  245.
  246. His choice.
  247. (August lux Solenne)
  248. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  249.
  250. [16:07] ". . ."
  251.
  252. Usually talkative about improving and what not. But not as his blade was drawn. Instead, he'd await on the moves of August to see if he had taunted him enough to give chase to him instead of Basten.
  253.
  254. "Good..."
  255.
  256. In retaliation to the blow he'd erupt slightly burned, and lunging back at August with full strength and full swing. He thrived amongst being the underdog, and would use this as a stepping stone to his greatness to come. Doubt in his heart, but confidence in his blade.
  257.
  258. If he the victor. Nonetheless the clash would begin.
  259. (Bastion)
  260. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  261.
  262. [16:08] "Won't stop bandits by helping."
  263.
  264. As the Lightbringer issues their command, he steps forward. The winds of the quarry grow wilder and his hand reaches for the sword at his back. A light laughter being carried in the currents.
  265.
  266. "No talking -- fight or be captured."
  267.
  268. His golden eyes look to Basten as the other of the pair is being targeted by the Radiant. The Rhoynish slave drops from his position above and moves to stand but a few feet away from them. His arm raising to point the end of his sword.
  269.
  270. "Fight?"
  271.
  272. Lips part to reveal viciously sharp teeth in that grin.
  273. (Uhli)
  274. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  275.
  276. [16:10] This was it wasn't it? The event that he dreamt of, a series of conflicts that would boil down to the war being inevitable. Uri was a young diplomat who valued many things over violence. Wisdom, peace, and the ability for all to communicate.... How will their be peace now... He was but one person willing to sacrifice himself for the safety of Alenxader for Osrona and all those he cared about.
  277.
  278. But it was clear... Nothing could stop this now. For war was surely upon them, and Uri's proposed act of kindness would not reach the lands of iLburge. It would not reach the Rhoynish…
  279.
  280. All he could do was watch, as a battle would take place before him. And a consequence for trying to achieve peace in the shadows only awaits...
  281.
  282. "War... It's like gravity... For all it takes, is a little push," He whispered only to himself with eyes widened for the potential future of fire and blood.
  283. (Uri Sanctum)
