- In retrospect a defensive method was probably a terrible idea efficiency-wise but it worked anyway so here we are.
- The teams: Gau, Locke, Terra; Sabin, Celes; Cyan, Edgar. Only four of these characters will actually be dealing damage since Locke, Terra, and Celes can only use their basic physicals, so they're better as fodder. Celes however has an ability that's useful here so she'll be treated a bit better. Gau's team and Cyan's team battle the troopers sent against you. Gau's team is helped by Gau's Templar Rage and Cyan's team relies on Cyan's power and Edgar's Tools. Sabin and Celes are only responsible for going against Kefka and, unintentionally, the Rider. Everyone in the back row. Every. One!
- The equipment: Mainly just give everyone the best armor you can in terms of defense. Slap a shield on Locke since actually having some Defense helps. However, the Green Beret is a headgear you definitely want to use. That +1/8 max HP is too enticing. I got the Telstar's GB on the camp, two Telstars' GBs on the Veldt, and one from a chest on Serpent Trench. These go to Edgar, Sabin, Gau, and Cyan since you don't want them to die. Sabin clutches in an important battle with only 16 HP left which means his ass was saved by virtue of having a Green Beret.
- The battles:
- 4x Trooper
- Gau's team: Gau uses Templar which can cast Fire 2 and has inherent Safe(reduces physical damage). Locke and Terra defend. Hope you don't get critted too much. Also hope Fire 2 is MT and gets good variance.
- Edgar's team: Cyan uses Dispatch when he can. Edgar uses Noiseblaster since Autocrossbow doesn't quite kill and Bio Blaster depends on variance. Hope the Muddle goes well.
- 2x Trooper, 1x Bounty Man(it's a canine...)
- Same thing. Bounty Man definitely gets killed by Fire 2 regardless of variance.
- 1x Fidor, 1x Trooper
- Hope you don't get Pounced by Fidor.
- 1x HeavyArmor, 2x Trooper
- The big one. Reflect is not appreciated so please don't stick Celes with Gau. HeavyArmors also take little damage from physicals and can only really be killed instantly by Hazer Rage's Bolt 2, but is it worth not having auto-Safe?
- Rider
- Well, just hope your attacker doesn't get hit too much. Which in my case is Sabin. Celes getting attacked more would have been more ideal, but oh well.
- Kefka
- This battle is your win condition. Although Kefka does have a physical attack, his arsenal is mostly filled with spells. Spells that can be Runicked to have an easy time. Sabin is just an attacker like any other, but about the strongest at any rate. Well, maybe Gau but Gau is not good with Celes here.
- Equipment:
- Terra: RegalCutlass; Heavy Shld; Iron Helmet; Iron Armor
- Edgar: RegalCutlass; Heavy Shld; Green Beret; Iron Armor
- Gau: Buckler; Green Beret; Kung Fu Suit
- Sabin: Metal Knuckle; Buckler; Green Beret; Ninja Gear
- Cyan: Kotetsu; Heavy Shld; Green Beret; Iron Armor
- Locke: Air Lancet; Heavy Shld; Iron Helmet; Iron Armor
- Celes: RegalCutlass; Heavy Shld; Iron Helmet; Iron Armor
- Relics:
- Terra: Star Pendant
- Edgar: Hyper Wrist; Atlas Armlet
- Gau: RunningShoes
- Sabin: Earrings; Sprint Shoes
- Cyan: Hyper Wrist; Black Belt
- Locke: Sprint Shoes; Genji Glove
- Celes: None
- Difficulty: Overall a 5/10. Took some thought. Kefka alone gets like a 3/10.
