- This Monk From India Fast Till Death, The Reason Behind Will Make You Shed Tears
- In India, Jainism is an ancient religion that teaches that the way to liberation and bliss is to live a life of harmlessness and renunciation. The aim of Jain life is to achieve the liberation of the soul. It advocates a path of ahimsa, which is nonviolence towards all living beings, and emphasizes spiritual interdependence and equality between all forms of life.
- The followers of Jainism believe that nonviolence and self-control are the means by which they can obtain liberation. Asceticism is a lifestyle characterized by abstinence from worldly pleasures, often for the purpose of pursuing spiritual goals, and it is a major focus of the Jain faith.
- Ahimsa (nonviolence), Anekantavada (non-absolutism), and Aparigraha (non-possessiveness) are the three main principles of Jainism.
- As a belief that all life forms are equal, a Jain monk in India performs Anshan (fasting till death) to stop the slaughter of cows in India.
- A Facebook user shared these photos saying “Media is not bothered for the coverage of such a noble cause or the spreading of non violence at all.”
- “I request you all to spread this post to as many as possible. The so called government is turning a deaf ear”
- What this monk did is really remarkable. Nowadays, very few people gives value to all life forms. Not all people believe in the equality of all living things, because today’s society take advantage of our intelligence believing that humans are the most dominant species. Yes we might be dominant but we shouldn’t abuse that privilege.
- This honorable man have to give his own life just to send us that message. Like him, we should love and protect animals.
