- Moon & Rotom Dex drabbles Pt 1
- "Pushing Buttons"
- It never took very long for Rotom to give Moon those little gloomy eyes. Moon would be travelling from one stop to another or just be trying to train or catch pokemon when her Rotom Dex would quickly act as though she had neglected him for a whole day.
- A poke here, a pat there, and usually Rotom would cheer up a bit and start talking with her again. At least that was how their relationship began, and from there they began to bond.
- "I thought of a nickname for you!" Rotom Dex exclaimed, "How about, Roto-M?"
- Moon blinked, "That's... that's just your own name, with an added hyphen."
- Rotom Dex giggled and gave Moon a playful wink. "ZZZo? Is that a yes? Zrt?"
- She shook her head, and Rotom looked a little dejected. "Okay, I'll just keep calling you Moon then," he said, lowering his little arms. He began to float off, continuing the path she was headed towards.
- Guilt immediate hit her after seeing how her reaction affected the little guy, and she decided that she had to cheer him up the best way she knew how.
- Before it could get too far, Moon grabbed the Rotom Dex and began petting him, much like she would any of her other pokemon when freshening them up.
- "Huh?!" Rotom blushed.
- Moon started with playing with Rotom's arms, wiggling them with her hands and then moved to wiggle his little feet with her fingers. All the while, Moon smiled, and her warm sentiments caught on to Rotom as well. She would poke various parts of Rotom and say "boop!" aloud, and Rotom would spin around and say "beep!" back to her. The two continued to play like this for a while.
- "Heh, you zzzure do know how to make a pokemon happy!"
- Rotom Dex wasn't soft, smooth, or fluffy like her other pokemon but as long as Rotom was feeling better from it she was willing to pet the hard plastic shell of the dex. She noticed from his bright screen that her fingerprints were getting the dex kind of dirty.
- "Remind me to get a proper screen cloth to wipe you with," Moon muttered.
- "Duly noted! There'zzz a Pokemon Center not to far from h-heeey!! Wait! S-Stop!!"
- Moon's hand had went from petting the sides of the Rotom Dex to running her hand curiously up his antenna, which seems to have flustered Rotom as little blush squares appeared on his screen again. As soon as Rotom asked her to stop, she moved her hand back to his side. "Zrrt! Please... please, be careful petting up there... That'zzz where most of my signals come in, as well as um... I..." His small digital mouth scrunched up.
- Moon gazed curiously at the Rotom Dex, moving her head as it seemed the Rotom was trying to turn in her hands to try to avoid giving her full eye contact. She finally gave in and asked him to spit it out already.
- "It... it feelzzz good, when you do that. Really, REALLY good, zrt," he confessed, covering his eyes with his rectangular red hands out of embarrassment.
- Moon thought for a moment, not sure if to just let Rotom go or to try something but she was enjoying this little breakaway from her adventure and was willing to make it last a bit longer.
- Rotom yelped and threw his arms back in surprise when he felt Moon's touch on his antenna again, but didn't pull himself away or yell at her again. His eyes gazed directly into hers as he pondered what she could possibly intend with him.
- At first, she began rubbing it with her middle three fingers, feeling the front of the antenna before moving towards the backside. Rotom shuddered, and before he could speak up Moon clutched the whole girth in her hand and began to stroke it, innocent to the obscenity of the gesture.
- "Aah... aaah..." Rotom Dex moaned, practically vibrating as he changed his typical white and blue screen to a pink one with hearts. This seemed to be making Rotom pleased more than anything else, so she kept it up.
- Rotom seemed to vibrate harder whenever she moved from all the way down to the antenna's base back up to its very pointed tip, sometimes even tapping the top of it with her index finger just to feel how much pressure she could put on it before it dug far enough into her finger that it was uncomfortable.
- "...F...Faster..." Rotom uttered, "A little bit fazzzter, nhh..."
- Moon nodded and increased her pace, intrigued by Rotom's new expression. His eyes looked half lidded, but his little mouth was drooling and he hadn't stopped blushing since she started rubbing it. For some reason, he was beginning to spark from the top of his antenna.
- "M... Moon, more..." Rotom practically begged, "More!! I...!"
- He needed not to say anything else, Moon began rubbing it as quickly and firmly as she could. Rotom cried out loudly, and Moon was thankful they weren't anywhere around civilization otherwise her noisily indulgent dex would've embarrassed them both by now.
- "I... I'm...!!" Rotom Dex nearly screamed, before suddenly his screen started glitching out badly with colorful bars and triangles as he started beeping and screeching with long strings of one's and zero's. Moon was frightened now, but before she could think to throw Rotom Dex out of her hands he began to create larger sparks and ultimately zapped her with a somewhat strong current.
- In a brief puff of dark smoke, the two became charred and Moon was finally able to let go of Rotom, who had shorted out. It fell to the soft grass below, lifeless. As Moon dusted herself off and recovered from the unintended shock, she looked down and picked up the Rotom Dex.
- "Rotom...?" scared that she broke him, she tried poking him to see if she could get a response, but got none whatsoever. Her lip quivered, worried not solely because she'd have a lot to explain to Kukui but because she was very concerned for Rotom's well-being. Her throat ran dry as she tried to fight back her eyes tearing up.
- His screen lighting back up quickly melted those fears, as the Rotom Dex made his usual starting up sounds.
- "Beep beep boop! Talk about an out-of-body experience!"
- "Rotom! You're okay!" Moon was overjoyed. She gently hugged him, then tossed him into the air as Rotom gleefully spun back down to about where he usually floated around her.
- "Ha ha, yezzz! That was WONDERFUL! Thank you!" he chimed, "You know, I really wish I could repay you like that, it felt great!"
- Moon laughed and the two continued on their journey in better spirits.
