  15. For Shiro, he's got a passing interest, sure, but he would have been happy going through life without really "getting" it, so getting to play with his favorite people Is the reason rather than just a fun bonus

  330. Keith is an incredibly important person for him and I imagine they've been talking for quite some time before they officially get to meet so
  331. It's a lot different with him than just some rando he likes but doesn't exactly feel super attached to
  332. So I don't think he could do it, even if Keith assured him it wouldn't impact their friendship because it would very much change things on Shiro's end

I think at some point, Shiro would try getting up to his old ways with somebody different (say, Matt), and it should be no problem because it's not like they're dating, they're explicitly not exclusive, but he still feels guilty, like he's doing something wrong, and he can't get into the right mood. Nothing happens. There has to be something wrong with him.
