  1. [16:06:52] <@castfromhp> Addy: A soft cackle rattles through your mind with an echo, and you feel a tugging toward the library followed by a quick jerk back by some invisible force, as if a hand were gripping your shoulder.
  2. [16:07:22] <@castfromhp> "No no, that's no fun! Let's see your friend handle this herself, shall we?" It's Baron Samedi's voice, echoing through your head.
  3. [16:07:46] <@castfromhp> The library you see stands in its dillapidated state as before. Arae seems to have simply disappeared.
  4. [16:08:08] <Addy> "Heeeeeeeey! What is this, some kinda ghostie-only library? That's... dixrimation!"
  5. [16:08:29] <@castfromhp> And...if you can muster the attention, play Addy in the main channel as the Genius Loci of the library, a spirit impersonating Addy and trying to convince Arae to read a certain sequence of books in the place. Their location within the library is up to you.
  6. [16:10:41] <Addy> (How convincing is it in its impersonation?)
  7. [16:11:11] <@castfromhp> 4d3-8+6
  8. [16:11:13] <DiceMaid-9001> castfromhp, 4d3-8+6: 5 [4d3=1,1,3,2]
  9. [16:11:59] <@castfromhp> Pretty convincing. It might slip on the Nawlins accent once in a while though, and it also probably comes off as too eager to get her to read those books, especially if Arae reacts badly to them.
  10. [16:12:10] <Addy> k
  11. [16:14:29] <@castfromhp> Though of course you can still explore the library here as that happens, since shookie will be posting slowly as he tends to do~
  12. [16:15:20] <Addy> Is there a spiral staircase?
  13. [16:15:27] <Addy> If there's a spiral staircase, Addy is so on that shit.
  14. [16:15:55] <@castfromhp> There totally is a pair of spiral staircases, both in the back, toward opposite corners of the place.
  15. [16:17:15] <Addy> Addy's going up one of them, then.
  16. [16:18:00] <@castfromhp> Roll alertness
  17. [16:18:07] <Addy> 4d3-8
  18. [16:18:07] <DiceMaid-9001> Addy, 4d3-8: 0 [4d3=2,2,3,1]
  19. [16:19:05] <@castfromhp> There's a flicker of movement from somewhere on the second level, visible for a moment after going up about halfway up the staircase.
  20. [16:19:37] <@castfromhp> Cresting the top of the staircase, you can see a literal maze of bookshelves. Someone has actually taken the time to push them together into a labyrinth of sorts.
  21. [16:20:25] <Addy> Woohoo, this can't possibly be a trap! Addy dives into the maze. Literally, she dives arms first, slides a little bit, then gets back to her feet and starts exploring.
  22. [16:22:12] <@castfromhp> Addy gets a faceful of dust and dirt as she dives in. Ew, someone really hasn't been sweeping the floors here.
  23. [16:23:28] <@castfromhp> The books here are all in Chinese. The titles are all incomprehensible to you as you walk down the corridors of bookshelves.
  24. [16:23:48] <Addy> Addy hacks up the dust and wipes off her face. She makes a mental note to bribe one of the ghosties into cleaning up later. Nonetheless, onward into the mazeville. Every so often she pulls a book out just to see if it'll open a SECRET PASSAGE HOW EXCITING.
  25. [16:23:56] <@castfromhp> Oh and before I forget, you get one fate point. Getting wrenched out of the 'other' library was essentially a compel.
  26. [16:25:15] <Addy> k
  27. [16:25:16] <@castfromhp> Give me...4 investigation checks as you pull out books.
  28. [16:25:31] <Addy> 4#4d3-8+1
  29. [16:25:32] <DiceMaid-9001> Addy, 4#4d3-8+1: -2 [4d3=2,1,1,1], 2 [4d3=1,3,3,2], 0 [4d3=1,2,2,2], 2 [4d3=3,1,2,3]
  30. [16:29:28] <@castfromhp> Nothing seems to happen for the first few books, but then you pull out a particularly heavy volume and whoa
  31. [16:29:38] <@castfromhp> the shelves are shifting around you, opening up new paths, closing up others.
  32. [16:29:38] <Addy> "Whoa."
  33. [16:29:44] <Addy> "Whoa!"
  34. [16:29:59] <@castfromhp> It ripples outward, and you can hear a grinding noise. You are now utterly lost in this maze of bookshelves from all the shifting walls.
  35. [16:30:23] <Addy> Addy plunges deeper into this strange book maze. SHE HAS NO FEAR, she's used to being lost just coming home from school.
  36. [16:30:36] <@castfromhp> Alertness
  37. [16:30:50] <Addy> 4d3-8 hahaha what could possibly go wrong
  38. [16:30:50] <DiceMaid-9001> Addy, hahaha what could possibly go wrong: 1 [4d3=3,3,1,2]
  39. [16:32:56] <@castfromhp> Dashing through the maze, you see the same flicker of movement again, though this time more clear. It's some sort of four-legged creature, with white fur. It dashes off before you get a good look.
  40. [16:33:26] <Addy> "Dead Ted's Cousin! Come baaaack!" Addy pursues the creature.
  41. [16:34:40] <@castfromhp> Strangely, the thing has left no footprints to speak of. However, roll investigation as you follow where you think it went.
  42. [16:35:04] <Addy> 4d3-8+1
  43. [16:35:04] <DiceMaid-9001> Addy, 4d3-8+1: -1 [4d3=2,2,1,1]
  44. [16:35:57] <@castfromhp> Nope, nothing out of the ordinary. You think you can follow its path though. Rather odd that it's so dusty and yet its presence doesn't seem to physically disturb any of the dust though.
  45. [16:36:37] <Addy> That's not odd at all. Dead Ted's Cousin's a ghost. Addy just keeps on keeping on, calling out after the apparition and occasionally pulling another book.
  46. [16:39:18] <@castfromhp> 4d3-8+2
  47. [16:39:18] <DiceMaid-9001> castfromhp, 4d3-8+2: 1 [4d3=1,3,1,2]
  48. [16:40:15] <@castfromhp> As Addy rounds the corner, she turns just in time to see the creature get cut off from a route by a shifting bookshelf.
  49. [16:41:07] <Addy> "Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh, why'd I hafta pull that book?!" She makes a dive to get in before the bookshelf closes the route.
  50. [16:41:21] <Addy> 4d3-8+2a athleticism
  51. [16:41:22] <DiceMaid-9001> Addy, athleticism: 1 [4d3=3,1,1,2]
  52. [16:41:31] <Addy> >a
  53. [16:41:32] <Addy> oops
  54. [16:41:57] <@castfromhp> It's a ram, with large curling horns much larger than any Addy's seen in real life. The entire creature is slightly translucent, organs sloshing around on its inside. Its side seems to harbor a gaping wound that seeps little bits of ectoplasm that disappear into a fine mist as they hit the ground.
  55. [16:42:13] <@castfromhp> Are you diving in to be where this thing is, or past it?
  56. [16:42:26] <Addy> I'm getting to this thing
  57. [16:42:32] <Addy> We're going to be buddies.
  58. [16:43:10] <@castfromhp> You bite another faceful of dust as you dive in front of it. It rears up and looks ready to charge.
  59. [16:43:53] <Addy> "Oh. Hiya, buddy. Calm down now, dawlin! I don' mean no harm, jus' came to chitchat an' all that."
  60. [16:44:31] <@castfromhp> The thing straightens back up and slowly circles Addy.
  61. [16:44:38] * DiceMaid-9001 is now known as RichterBelmont
  62. [16:44:40] <@castfromhp> 4d3-8+4
  63. [16:44:41] <RichterBelmont> castfromhp, 4d3-8+4: 2 [4d3=2,1,1,2]
  64. [16:45:02] * RichterBelmont is now known as DiceMaid-9001
  65. [16:45:18] <@castfromhp> Still just circling, watching.
  66. [16:45:38] <Addy> (Can I roll empathy?)
  67. [16:45:42] <@castfromhp> Sure.
  68. [16:46:12] <Addy> 4d3-8+2 "M'name's Addy. Can y'talk, buddy? I ain't come to do nothin' wrong."
  69. [16:46:13] <DiceMaid-9001> Addy, "M'name's Addy. Can y'talk, buddy? I ain't come to do nothin' wrong.": 2 [4d3=2,1,2,3]
  70. [16:47:10] <@castfromhp> No sense of hostility now. Being a ghost speaker you do get a better sense of how these things' minds work, and you can tell it is intensely analyzing you.
  71. [16:47:14] <@castfromhp> 4d3-8+4
  72. [16:47:15] <DiceMaid-9001> castfromhp, 4d3-8+4: 5 [4d3=1,3,2,3]
  73. [16:47:28] <@castfromhp> (when playing mimic-Addy, it now gets the accent perfectly every time)
  74. [16:47:46] <Addy> (k, shuku didn't notice accent slippage anyway)
  75. [16:47:55] <@castfromhp> (mmm)
  76. [16:51:12] <Addy> "I betcha you're guardin' this place or somethin! Well, I didn't come to mess nothin' up. M'friend wanted to read, but now I went and done lost her. This ain't no normal library, huh?"
  77. [16:55:09] <@castfromhp> It trots over to a bookshelf and yanks a book off with its mouth, tossing it over a shelf behind it. Some shelves move off in the distance, producing the same grinding noise again.
  78. [16:55:36] <@castfromhp> It then simply settles down in front of you, watching with beady ghost eyes. Still a highly analytical gaze.
  79. [16:56:28] <Addy> Addy sits down, indian style, and stares right back at the ghost with her big blue eyes. "I coulda done that for ya, if y'told me which book to pull, y'know."
  80. [16:57:32] <@castfromhp> It almost seems to shrug, as much as a goat can do that, but doesn't move. You swear you could see a smirk flash across its face for a second.
  81. [16:58:21] <Addy> "Come with me, 'kay?" Addy gets up and goes off to continue wandering through the shelves.
  82. [16:59:44] <@castfromhp> Roll three investigation checks.
  83. [16:59:59] <Addy> 3#4d3-8+1
  84. [16:59:59] <DiceMaid-9001> Addy, 3#4d3-8+1: 1 [4d3=3,1,3,1], -2 [4d3=1,1,2,1], 3 [4d3=3,2,2,3]
  85. [17:01:28] <@castfromhp> This goat is plucking books out as you go and HEY you can tell from just a basic spatial sense that the path it's making is leading you out toward where you had entered the maze, or at least on some border.
  86. [17:02:24] <Addy> "So, you're gettin' me outta here? Whadda we gonna do back downstairs?"
  87. [17:05:25] <@castfromhp> It doesn't respond, just continuing on. It's now taken a more active roll, cutting in front of Addy and eagerly plucking books out of shelves to make its path.
  88. [17:05:56] <Addy> Addy tries petting the goat one of the times it cuts her off.
  89. [17:07:01] <@castfromhp> It allows you to pet it, not seeming to really care.
  90. [17:07:41] <Addy> Addy totally fistpumps that it let her pet it. She doesn't really mind being led around by the goa(s)t.
  91. [17:11:23] <@castfromhp> Alertness check
  92. [17:11:31] <Addy> 4d3-8
  93. [17:11:31] <DiceMaid-9001> Addy, 4d3-8: 3 [4d3=2,3,3,3]
  94. [17:11:37] <Addy> suck me beautiful
  95. [17:13:43] <@castfromhp> Well, that's quite a something. From the center of this whole labyrinthe emerges a soft glow of light. You definitely take notice, despite the effect being rather subtle.
  96. [17:14:25] <Addy> "Hey, hey, over there!" Addy tries to lead the way to the glowing light.
  97. [17:15:17] <@castfromhp> The goat leaps to bar the way toward it
  98. [17:16:25] <Addy> "Somethin' wrong? Jus' gon' go see what's glowin', y'know."
  99. [17:16:45] <Addy> 4d3-8+2 empathy to get an idea of why it's stopping me
  100. [17:16:45] <DiceMaid-9001> Addy, empathy to get an idea of why it's stopping me: 4 [4d3=2,3,2,3]
  101. [17:17:22] <@castfromhp> The soft glow gets brighter. It definitely wants you not to interfere with something that's around the glow.
  102. [17:17:32] <Addy> 2bad
  103. [17:17:41] <Addy> Addy turns around like she's giving up
  104. [17:17:49] <Addy> AND THEN SHE MAKES A BREAK FOR IT in the direction of the glow
  105. [17:18:24] <@castfromhp> Combat rounds then!
  106. [17:18:32] <@castfromhp> Addy's alertness is 0, right?
  107. [17:18:41] <Addy> yes
  108. [17:18:53] <@castfromhp> Goa(s)t > Addy
  109. [17:19:19] <@castfromhp> 4d3-8+5 it slams itself into a bookshelf, attempting to knock it over and form an obstacle
  110. [17:19:21] <DiceMaid-9001> castfromhp, it slams itself into a bookshelf, attempting to knock it over and form an obstacle: 5 [4d3=3,1,2,2]
  111. [17:19:48] <@castfromhp> Resist with athletics, it's trying a manuveur to place the aspect FUCKIN BOOKS TRIPPING YOU EVERYWHERE on the scene
  112. [17:21:25] <Addy> (Is using my athletics potion + fate point [Loa Bokor, since I'm using a potion] valid?)
  113. [17:21:27] <@castfromhp> And you can tell from here the glow is now a full blown pillar of light somewhere i nthe maze.
  114. [17:21:31] <@castfromhp> It is.
  115. [17:21:48] <Addy> And will a tie mean the aspect doesn't get placed?
  116. [17:22:02] <@castfromhp> However, keep in mind meeting the 5 only means the aspect is temporary and disappears after one use of it.
  117. [17:22:32] <Addy> If the aspect's on the scene, that means I can use it to help get away from this thing too, right?
  118. [17:23:51] <@castfromhp> (At this point, mimic-Addy disappears. Thanks for going with that~)
  119. [17:24:13] <@castfromhp> Yes you can tag the aspect as well, but since you weren't the one to make it, it'd cost you a FATE.
  120. [17:24:28] <Addy> Okay
  121. [17:24:40] <Addy> I'll save the potion then
  122. [17:24:44] <Addy> 4d3-8+2
  123. [17:24:44] <DiceMaid-9001> Addy, 4d3-8+2: -2 [4d3=1,1,1,1]
  124. [17:24:48] <Addy> hahaha oh niggers
  125. [17:25:14] <@castfromhp> Well, luckily for you this really just means the aspect is sticky. It wasn't an attack.
  126. [17:25:27] <@castfromhp> But hahaha this is what you get for rolling 3,3,3,3 the other day >:V
  127. [17:25:34] <Addy> time to gtfo
  128. [17:25:52] <@castfromhp> Your turn, what do?
  129. [17:26:12] <Addy> Addy's dashing toward the light
  130. [17:28:14] <@castfromhp> That'd be an athletics, essentially attempting to change zones. However, this will be a fairly difficult check.
  131. [17:28:31] <Addy> So, maybe now is time for the fate/potion combo
  132. [17:28:32] <@castfromhp> (Just OOC I'm going to let you know you have two far better options than straight running for it right now)
  133. [17:29:08] <@castfromhp> (well, in this specific case, an escape potion functions as however many shifts worth of sheer sprinting, so it'd be able to get you pretty far)
  134. [17:30:12] <Addy> Mm, kay
  135. [17:30:22] <Addy> I don't really want to beat up my goat buddy
  136. [17:30:41] <Addy> and I do want to find out what the nigger's up with this nonsense
  137. [17:31:22] <@castfromhp> So escape potion then? What's the value?
  138. [17:31:43] <Addy> Well, my lore's +3
  139. [17:32:12] <Addy> Does it seem far enough away to justify needing to spend fate?
  140. [17:33:51] <@castfromhp> 3 would get you solidly past the PILE OF BOOKS AND SHIT and around the corner down a little ways, but still in pretty easy range of the goat you would guess from how easily it's navigated this place. IT'd only need some time to catch up.
  141. [17:34:33] <Addy> 3 it is, then
  142. [17:34:51] <Addy> Addy downs the potion and vanishes! A little ways away!
  143. [17:35:56] <@castfromhp> You chug down the potion and...fluff how Addy's escape potions work however you wish! You see the goat peek out from around the corner, but it's a ways away. And take another turn.
  144. [17:36:23] <Addy> Addy just POOFs when she drinks it. Time to keep hustling on over towards the light.
  145. [17:36:48] <@castfromhp> Investigation roll as you go
  146. [17:38:32] <Addy> 4d3-8+1
  147. [17:38:33] <DiceMaid-9001> Addy, 4d3-8+1: -2 [4d3=1,2,1,1]
  148. [17:38:35] <Addy> fuck
  149. [17:39:20] <Addy> Can I invoke Resident Moron for a reroll (dumb luck)?
  150. [17:39:24] <@castfromhp> Yes.
  151. [17:39:31] <Addy> 4d3-8+1 (check my -3)
  152. [17:39:31] <DiceMaid-9001> Addy, (check my -3): 2 [4d3=3,3,1,2]
  153. [17:40:06] <@castfromhp> You've found the way pretty easily thus far. You don't think it'll be long until you reach the light now.
  154. [17:40:09] <@castfromhp> 4d3-8+2
  155. [17:40:10] <DiceMaid-9001> castfromhp, 4d3-8+2: -1 [4d3=1,1,2,1]
  156. [17:40:43] <@castfromhp> Goat goast is having a hard time finding you dashing through the maze. Now that you're near the center, it's pretty clear there are multiple paths down toward the center - and it's taking the wrong one.
  157. [17:41:15] <Addy> Addy has no time to stop and worry about the goat, ONWARD ONWARD
  158. [17:43:35] <@castfromhp> You're at the light now! It looks like a large board game, with part of a chess board, a go board, Monopoly, Catan, all sorts cobbled together in a mess. In the center you see a small Monopoly figure that looks strangely like Arae. Scattered around her are little wooden tiles with Chinese characters written on them.
  159. [17:43:45] <Addy> >catan
  160. [17:43:47] <Addy> I hate you
  161. [17:44:06] <@castfromhp> Would you rather I call it Settlers? Or do you just categorically hate the game? :V
  162. [17:44:15] <Addy> do u catan
  163. [17:44:18] <@castfromhp> I do.
  164. [17:44:32] <@castfromhp> Anyway, there are pieces for all of the games and more scattered around here too.
  165. [17:44:34] <Addy> (Remind me to find the story for you later--you're missing the joke)
  166. [17:44:42] <@castfromhp> The beam of light is centered on Arae.
  167. [17:44:50] <Addy> "HEY AIRY, CAN Y'HEAR ME?"
  168. [17:46:11] <@castfromhp> Empathy roll
  169. [17:46:48] <Addy> 4d3-8+2
  170. [17:46:49] <DiceMaid-9001> Addy, 4d3-8+2: 2 [4d3=1,3,1,3]
  171. [17:47:22] <@castfromhp> 4d3-8+2
  172. [17:47:24] <DiceMaid-9001> castfromhp, 4d3-8+2: 0 [4d3=1,1,1,3]
  173. [17:47:28] <@castfromhp> Alright, you have one more free turn before goat comes here to fuck some shit up. What do you do with it?
  174. [17:47:59] <Addy> I'm kicking the chinese letters that are surrounding Airy out of place
  175. [17:48:21] <@castfromhp> Roll Athletics. You find that moving anything already set down on the board is remarkably difficult.
  176. [17:48:41] <@castfromhp> For board game pieces I mean.
  177. [17:48:46] <Addy> 4d3-8+2
  178. [17:48:47] <DiceMaid-9001> Addy, 4d3-8+2: 0 [4d3=2,1,2,1]
  179. [17:49:09] <@castfromhp> 4d3-8+2
  180. [17:49:11] <DiceMaid-9001> castfromhp, 4d3-8+2: 2 [4d3=3,1,2,2]
  181. [17:49:20] <@castfromhp> They don't budge. Man, what kind of board game is this?
  182. [17:49:32] <@castfromhp> GOAT IS HERE. GOAT IS READYING TO CHARGE.
  183. [17:49:36] <@castfromhp> 4d3-8+5
  184. [17:49:37] <DiceMaid-9001> castfromhp, 4d3-8+5: 7 [4d3=2,3,2,3]
  185. [17:49:57] <@castfromhp> Resist with athletics, tagging you with aspect to make CHARGING easier
  186. [17:50:28] <Addy> 4d3-8+2 Shit yo
  187. [17:50:29] <DiceMaid-9001> Addy, Shit yo: 1 [4d3=2,2,1,2]
  188. [17:51:17] <@castfromhp> Consider yourself tagged
  189. [17:51:22] <@castfromhp> Er, aspected
  190. [17:51:36] <@castfromhp> Anyhow, your turn.
  191. [17:52:14] <Addy> Okay
  192. [17:52:34] <Addy> I'm strongly tempted to use my athletics potion to help move this shit
  193. [17:55:27] <Addy> I think that's what I'll do, fuck escaping, I can breathe fire if I have to fight I guess
  194. [17:55:42] <Addy> So, 3 athletics to move this shit
  195. [17:55:58] <@castfromhp> Scattering the letters?
  196. [17:56:05] <Addy> Yeah
  197. [17:56:08] <Addy> Kicking them every which way
  198. [17:56:40] <@castfromhp> They're heavy as shit for board game pieces, but with the mojo behind your potion you're able to throw a good half across the floor.
  199. [17:58:21] <Addy> "SORRY MISTER GOAT, GOTS TO HELP OUT M'ROOMIE!"
  200. [17:58:52] <@castfromhp> HE IS HAVING NONE OF THAT SHIT.
  201. [17:59:07] <@castfromhp> 4d3-8+5+2 tagging his aspect to CHARGE at you. Resist with athletics.
  202. [17:59:08] <DiceMaid-9001> castfromhp, tagging his aspect to CHARGE at you. Resist with athletics.: 6 [4d3=1,1,2,3]
  203. [17:59:21] <Addy> 4d3-8+2 uhoh
  204. [17:59:21] <DiceMaid-9001> Addy, uhoh: 3 [4d3=2,3,3,1]
  205. [17:59:42] <@castfromhp> 3 physical stress as it RAMS into you.
  206. [17:59:59] <Addy> (I only have 3 boxes)
  207. [18:00:11] <@castfromhp> (so this is where you start taking consequences~)
  208. [18:00:24] <Addy> sugoi ;_;
  209. [18:00:27] <@castfromhp> (Alternatively, be taken out :V)
  210. [18:00:45] <Addy> lolfuckthat
  211. [18:00:51] <Addy> bring on the consequences nigger
  212. [18:01:22] <@castfromhp> Cancel 2/4/6 for mild/moderate/severe
  213. [18:01:36] <Addy> Mild it is, I guess, moderate can be next round dohoho
  214. [18:02:03] <@castfromhp> Fluff the consequence as you'd like. Some of the examples are just stuff like bruised, winded, etc.
  215. [18:03:08] <Addy> "Ahhhh! What happened, Mister Goat? Y'know, I'd been thinkin' we were gettin' along great an' now ya gonna hit me?" Addy is probably gonna have a bruised up tummy after that one.
  216. [18:04:32] <@castfromhp> And it's your turn again~
  217. [18:05:20] <Addy> k, 5 shift rote attack on goatie, then, I think
  218. [18:05:39] <Addy> ectovocation of course
  219. [18:05:46] <@castfromhp> Fluff it and take any stress that it incurs on yourself for using evocation
  220. [18:06:46] <Addy> That's just 1 mental, right?
  221. [18:07:04] <@castfromhp> You can put it in mental or physical
  222. [18:07:13] <Addy> (Mental it is)
  223. [18:07:29] <Addy> (Oh, and do I get a fate point for taking a consequence?)
  224. [18:07:40] <@castfromhp> (that all happens at the END of combat)
  225. [18:07:52] <Addy> oh okay
  226. [18:08:12] <@castfromhp> The goat looks slightly cooked! (mild consequence)
  227. [18:08:42] <@castfromhp> It tries to get between you and the board.
  228. [18:08:49] <@castfromhp> 4d3-8+5
  229. [18:08:51] <DiceMaid-9001> castfromhp, 4d3-8+5: 6 [4d3=3,2,2,2]
  230. [18:09:34] <@castfromhp> That's the TN for what you'd have to pass to be able to mess with anything set on the board right now.
  231. [18:10:31] <Addy> (fluff incoming)
  232. [18:13:01] <Addy> Addy whips off her tophat and plucks out a hot pepper. She squeals, "H-h-h-hothothohot!" before suddenly falling silent. Her blue eyes begin to glow green and her hair turns a shining gold as if she just went super saiyan or something. The possessed little girl takes in a huuuuuuge breath before reversing the flow, spitting fire in a torrent out at poor mister goa(s)t.
  233. [18:16:38] <@castfromhp> The goat remains resolutely in your way. It finally opens its mouth and speaks for the first time you've heard it do so. It sounds like a jumbled mess of voices right now, ringing out from all corners of the library, but especially from the goat's mouth. at the core is an eerily monotone female voice. "You want...you want to HELP her, don't you? Don't you? She wants to remember, but memory..."
  234. [18:17:00] <@castfromhp> "Memory is painful. It's painful. She's resisting."
  235. [18:17:30] <@castfromhp> (your turn by the way - it used its to block you from the board)
  236. [18:17:34] <Addy> 4d3-8+2 Empathy
  237. [18:17:35] <DiceMaid-9001> Addy, Empathy: 1 [4d3=2,1,2,2]
  238. [18:17:47] <Addy> Verifying that it's not just feeding me a line
  239. [18:18:33] <@castfromhp> Inscrutable. The voice is altogether too inconsistent and 'jagged' for lack of a better term to read a constant emotion or intent from it. Splintered in a way.
  240. [18:19:34] <Addy> "HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY AIRY ARE Y'OKAY?"
  241. [18:20:01] <@castfromhp> Empathy again
  242. [18:20:17] <Addy> 4d3-8+2
  243. [18:20:18] <DiceMaid-9001> Addy, 4d3-8+2: 3 [4d3=3,2,1,3]
  244. [18:22:21] <@castfromhp> (it's too bad, the target number was a combined 4 on the empathy rolls between the two of you :< for more FREE ASPECTS for shookie)
  245. [18:23:08] <Addy> unfortunately I didn't have enough heart for the both of us ;_;
  246. [18:24:34] <@castfromhp> You can still take an action on this turn. The goat opens its mouth as if to speak again but then closes it, a glazed expression sliding over its face as it trembles.
  247. [18:27:11] <Addy> Addy idly toys with her hat for a moment. "Hey, Mister Goatie... It'll be awrite, now..."
  248. [18:30:01] <@castfromhp> The goat stares off into space and shakes.
  249. [18:34:44] <Addy> Addy waits to see what's going on, though she is so ready to start spewing fire everywhere again.
  250. [18:36:02] <@castfromhp> The goat starts to flake away, small specks of light swirling into the beam of light above the Arae board game figure. The board game starts to collapse too, turning into papers and that are drawn up into a spiral around the beam of light.
  251. [18:36:17] <Addy> "Seeeeeee youuuu next tiiiiiiiime~!"
  252. [18:36:18] <@castfromhp> They fold into each other and compress until all that's left of the entire setup is a small golden key.
  253. [18:36:27] <@castfromhp> And feel free to return to mainchannel now.
  254. [18:36:35] <@castfromhp> You're upstairs, Araei is downstairs.
