Uri - Espionage With General Alya

A hunch confirmed... Uri saw that the past actions made by Alexander weren't just through his ambition to unite all of Esshar, but rather... He'd heard, from several mouths and finally, from General Alya that he could possibly be under the influence of another, someone who for some time has been suspected to be a witch... Their Queen, Nebula... Uri did not want to believe this at first, but, Asta had made too many hints towards the world, much too big to ignore, some that even Cetta was concerned about upon the day that she approached Uri, trying to warn him of the true purpose of this war... A War that no one could stop anymore, the fall of Osrona...

[14:16] Uri Sanctum asks, "Ah, there y' are, General. It's been some time hasn't it?"
[14:16] Alya Kriemhild says, "A few years, Captain."
[14:16] Alya Kriemhild says, "That Poem was lame by the way."
[14:16] Uri Sanctum says, "----"
[14:16] Uri Sanctum says, "Well shoot."
[14:16] Uri Sanctum asks, "I tried. But, may we come in?"
[14:17] Alya Kriemhild says, "Sure."
[14:17] Alya Kriemhild asks, "Alright, what's this all about?"
[14:17] Uri Sanctum says, "It's about King Alexander, and his recent decisions... "
[14:18] Alya Kriemhild asks, "What did he decide now?"
[14:21] Uri would go to explain.

"Whenever Asta made those announcements, when anyone of reason tried to avoid war, don't you think. It's somewhat odd for a man who once wanted nothing but peace... To just pursue war?"

Uri shook his head, "The demand was simple, making Marie the new Queen, but instead... He's decided to throw countless lives away in what might be a Continental War of Esshar…."

The young Captain releases a sigh. "I've been investigating this since the day of their wedding. But, it's just a hunch that's been bothering me more and more for each incident I've come across."

[14:23] Arms crossed, back sagging against her chair, the General listened, giving her own input not long after.

"Multiple sources are claiming his wife has some abilities to make him act out of character. Some claim she's a witch. Sources vary from very reliables to very questionable."

She cleared her throat.

"Although his reason for not stepping down could be an act to show Osrona isn't kneeling to foreign demands. Which is understandable. But then again, this war is only due to his folly."

[14:30] Uri paused for a moment... Shivering from the times he did fight a witch..Duana, and hearing the stories of their abilities. He wondered, truly, if this rumor were real..

So, he thought, he'd ask Alya about them even more, "To act out of character?... But, how wouldn't anyone know of this? I've known of Duana, but, I don't think she ever did such things to anyone."

He ponders the thought, about the day Caila fought the queen... Diving back in his memory, for all that's happened that day. "True, that can easily be something as simple as being bold ---But still... Nebula as a witch?"


He thought about the wedding... "That attack from long ago, Asta said that the King assaulted them out of nowhere... Could this be another clue?"

[14:35] "Asta's words are to be taken with a grain of salt. She has her own agenda. But the King's recklessness is unbecoming of a ruler. One that even his belligerent mother couldn't condone."

Some peanuts were taken from the small bowl in the middle of the table. The shell was already removed, so she ate away. Crunch, crunch.

"I'd assume the Church is blocked out of actually testing those close to the King. Likely thanks to the very same hexing abilities Duana could use. I'd find this to be a red flag from the start, but I suppose Osrona didn't learn their lesson with the demonic war."

Really, so recently have they defeated the army of darkness, they were immediately afflicted with a parasite. For some reason, this didn't exactly ring right or felt realistic. But that's what it looked like.

[14:40] He shakes his head. Only to the fact that Osrona had gotten lazy, complacent over the years, letting certain actions slide. The knights had all lost their touch and now, the world faces them in what might be a war that'll finally shatter the walls.

"I don't know... It could be too late for even the members of the church... So many people work from within the royal family... So if this, 'hex' were an actual thing. Who's to say that any retainers haven't been influenced as well? Or the Kings siblings..."

He wondered more about the issue as Alya spoke.

"Like a virus, one we can't track, and one I'm unsure is even true... What if these claims are false? And I've done nothing but insult the Queen-Consort?"

But the war, it was another issue.. One that made Uri come down to a single conclusion. Nothing can Stop It Now... But, what of a silver lining?

[14:41] Alya Kriemhild says, "The way I see it, the only way to cure Osrona is by forcibly ripping out the ruling branch of Petrakis, the queen with it."
[14:41] Uri Sanctum says, "Sadly, this is our only option..."
[14:42] Uri Sanctum says, "To let the leadership crumble."
[14:42] Uri Sanctum says, "There's... One more particular thing I wanted to ask."
[14:43] Alya Kriemhild asks, "Hmm?"
[14:44] Uri Sanctum says, "Caila... She came to Osrona with the goal to help and, kidnap Nebula."
[14:45] Uri Sanctum says, "The thing is, she defeated both the King and Queen, even I tried to stop her but the King reached her long before I did... I thought it was a mistake, I didn't want to see her on a bounty board..."
[14:45] Uri Sanctum says, "But, she had a sudden change of heart after the Queen ordered Caila to release her. "
[14:45] Uri Sanctum says, "I tried asking Caila why she came all this way for essentially nothing... But she flew off."
[14:49] Alya Kriemhild says, "Because it was a hex."
[14:49] Uri Sanctum says, "..."
[14:49] Alya Kriemhild says, "The Queen made a mistake to try and hex Caila after a battle. It made it far too obvious."
[14:55] Uri would place his elbows onto the table... That hunch of his.. Confirmed more now than ever. Even now, he would demonstrate to the general, what he saw, being only a few feet away trying to intervene...

He would mummer a prayer though not the exact one done by the Queen, place his index finger upon his lips as if he were placing blood upon them after swiping them on the table... Looking Alya straight in the eye as he tries to piece it all together, "Release me..." he said, remembering what happened that very day.

His eyes never left from Alya's, "From what I know of witches from my experience... They can be sneaky, very much so... Is this the hex you were talking about?... It's only then that the entire situation changed..."

He was angered slightly though, "But, in my eyes, I saw that Osrona only respected strength and her request once they were beaten... Had she lost, they'd probably jail er' then kill er'... I however wouldn't have allowed it, for I planned to conduct a false pursuit in order to free her from any... Collars.."

[14:57] Alya Kriemhild says, "I appreciate your efforts to help my sister, Uri."
[14:57] Alya Kriemhild says, "Ultimately, Caila has opted to retire after this ordeal, which leaves US to deal with Osrona."
[14:59] Uri Sanctum says, "She was once my student... I wouldn't have allowed them to touch her... Caila, has followed me around as a child.. We'd have fun by moon walking together, little dances to show her that the world wasn't all violence and politics."
[15:01] Alya Kriemhild says, "She's leading a safer life, now."
[15:01] Alya Kriemhild says, "I think it is for the better."
[15:01] Uri nods, then places his fingertips upon his head.

[15:03] Alya Kriemhild says, "That is true."
[15:03] Alya Kriemhild says, "But, in the end, she deserves a tranquil life."
[15:06] Uri Sanctum says, "That she does."
[15:06] Uri Sanctum says, "And I'm thankful she had a sister that took care of her when no one else did."
[15:06] Uri Sanctum says, "You're a blessing General. In more ways than one."

[15:09] Alya Kriemhild asks, "Now, Uri, what exactly do you want?"
[15:09] Alya Kriemhild asks, "Join forces with me against Osrona?"
[15:10] Alya Kriemhild asks, "Be an ally to Theria even beyond the war when a nation inevitably wishes to eat what we have?"
[15:14] Xyuth listneed into the conversation hearing about the tales and the rumors going about and even more so about the queen Hexing about how much things have changed though this talk made him wonder on it.

Though when it came down to hear what Uri was about to say about Him and Theria, he spoke up for a moment.

"Sorry to cut Uri off, Hello , I'm Xyth/ Im a friend of his and even more so, leader to a future settlement, Osilot"

[15:14] Alya Kriemhild says, "Yes, hello Xyth."
[15:18] Uri looks to Xyth, who had entered the conversation of their brief espionage.. He would answer Alya, "What I want, is neutrality... Never wanted war, never liked it for anything... Friends died for nothing, children burned to a crisp due to the acts of a foolish or...Maybe now hexed King... If I must, I will let Osrona fall..."

He smiles lightly, "So that beauty may come out of ashes... I am to be a councilmen of Osilot once it is formed, my only role in this war, is to make sure that no innocents are killed... And I will not stop any of you from bringing down our leadership if they are truly as we are to assume.. Hexed..."

For this moment, Uri would give Alya a slight bow of his head. "I trust your words, because of our past. You've not lied to me, nor have you immediately tried to use me. And for that, I see that you are truly honorable. General Alya."

[15:20] Alya Kriemhild says, "Don't judge me so quickly, Uri. I'm a Military General. I put my nation before all else. Even you."
[15:20] Alya Kriemhild says, "But, what you want is fine. Though I'd invite you to consider Theria as your main port. An Admiral Warlord would be a first."
[15:24] Uri Sanctum says, "That's also if I am welcomed of course... Osilot will be my home once this is over... But if anything, I will offer naval transport if we are seen as just that. A neutral settlement."
[15:25] Alya Kriemhild says, "A shame, but that's fair."
[15:26] Uri Sanctum asks, "Xyth? You had something to say, did you not?"
[15:26] Uri Sanctum asks, "But, I must ask, who else knows this of the 'hex' in question?"
[15:27] Alya Kriemhild says, "My sister, Magne. I believe Cetta too."
[15:27] Uri Sanctum says, "I'm sure, if the people of Osrona truly knew... Like me and a few others, they would question the war and withdraw."
[15:27] Uri Sanctum asks, "Cetta too huh?"
[15:28] Uri Sanctum says, "I need to speak with her on what she knows as well."
[15:29] Alya Kriemhild says, "Then spread the word."
[15:31] Uri nods his head to this. Though it was the matter of doing so without being caught. Something that would be handled with a sensitive touch, word to be spread in a simple fashion, Within A Silent Way.

[15:32] Alya Kriemhild says, "Maybe something will finally be done."
[15:32] Uri Sanctum asks, "It also seems that, my friend here is... A bit distracted by the question I think he had for you?... Would it be alright to stick around until he snaps into reality?"
[15:33] Uri Sanctum says, "Actually..."
[15:34] Uri Sanctum asks, "How can one detect a witch if one is so well at hiding?"
[15:34] Uri Sanctum asks, "You mentioned the church doing checks, how is this done?"
[15:34] Alya Kriemhild says, "Usually the Church has a method for it, but I'm unfamiliar."
[15:36] Uri Sanctum says, "I see, fortunately enough, my grandmother might be able to help if no other church member can trust my word... Hopefully, it'll shine some light onto the subject."

[15:38] Alya Kriemhild says, "I hope so too."
[15:38] Alya Kriemhild says, "Because this is getting tiresome."
[15:38] Uri Sanctum asks, "I couldn't agree more... Such is the cost for a quiet life huh?"
[15:40] Alya Kriemhild says, "It'll never be quiet."
[15:40] Alya Kriemhild says, "But, this is just unpleasant to deal with."
[15:44] Uri nods, and looks over to Xyth… Seems they might be here for a while due to the distractions. But, the Captain didn't blame his crew-mate. He just wished he was able to say what he desired after coming along.

"Once he comes to his senses, we'll make for our departure, and also. Thank you for having us here today... I know your duties, and despite that, I am thankful that you were willing to speak with me upon Parley," he spoke with the codes of the sea, parley was what this felt like.

"The war is only months away, hopefully, before then, our efforts will make a change... My crew will be informed and through them, the word will spread... Not just in Osrona but all settlements..."

[15:45] Alya Kriemhild asks, "I trust you'll be fighting with the Alliance?"

[15:52] Uri Sanctum says, "And it was a pleasure seeing you again as well Alya. But, we must depart now, before the tides rise."
