Laughter is Brighter Where Food is Best

Introduction
Some might have heard the proverb “Laughter is brighter where food is best”, that’s one of the famous quotes related to food. Some people might think lightly about food. It’s just a mere meal which you eat to sustain your health, just to gain power for your daily needs, or simply fill your stomache. But is food’s meaning in life that simple?
In few area of Serendiluminaric (or maybe on other area as well), there is also a proverb which says “You are what you eat”. And not just those two proverbs, there are a lot more proverbs regarding food if we were trying to find one.
Just by seeing those two and even more proverbs, we can see that food is not merely food. But it has something even more importance and meaning to it. In this essay, the writer wants to share some findings regarding this topic and the connection with the culinary world in Glyphrock and hope it will bring new things for those who read it.
Body
Glyphrock, like everyone knows, is where all the people from other continents blend in into one big melting pot. The reason might be simple; it’s where Pan Didachterion Academy resides. And as almost everyone knows, a lot of people might move there due to study. Or if they are not students who are aiming for higher studies, there are also people who are aiming for changes in their life, since Glyphrock is also continent of dreams, where you can find anything new and different. Not a little which then decided to live in Glyphrock and didn’t return to their hometown. Just like all melting pot, they bring their culture, language, habits from their hometown into Glyphrock. And one thing that they definitely will bring was their traditional food.
Some people might questioned, why do they have to bring their traditional food to another place? The reason is simple, traditional food reminds of home. Those who have tried live far away from their hometown, must know the feeling of missing the taste of hometown, or maybe even more specific, their mother’s cooking. Some people who can cook even sometimes make that as a reason for them to open stalls of their traditional food from their hometown. And that is also there are a lot of traditional culinary stall in Glyphrock that can be found. From the cheap stall to the expensive cuisine, it can be found there.
From the classy cuisine of Grast, the fresh and delightful cuisine of Serendiluminaric, to the wild taste of Wiscouth, you can found everything in Glyphrock. So, for those who have homesick and want to taste their hometown flavor, can simply find it in those stalls. But if they really miss their hometown, they can easily go back to their hometown to taste the real flavor.
And then, the Cataclysm happens. The option of going back to the hometown is unavailable. Everyone cannot go back to their respective hometown and stranded in Glyphrock. Not a little who ended up being desperate and fretting in sadness. And sometimes even to the level of forgetting to take care of themselves, which turns out forgetting their food intake. Sometimes even cannot take food, due to can’t afford to take one.
