  3. We all know that Hakan Şükür can have quite a feisty attitude towards everything, but there should be a line between joking and being serious. Well, somebody should show that line to Hakan Şükür, since he apparently did not know that offending the president of his own country, even though it was on Social Media, can cause him a lot of trouble in the future. There are many articles that will help you understand why Social Media can corrupt us and what you should refrain from posting online. Apparently, Hakan Şükür did not get the message, when he posted a rather offensive tweet.
  4. For the ones who are not huge football fans, Hakan Şükür was born on September 1, 1971, and he is known as a retired Turkish footballer who played in the position of a striker. Because of his incredible posture and amazing skills, he was nicknamed as the King and the Bull of the Bosphorus. Hakan Şükür spent most of his career with the Galatasaray, as he was a three-time Goal King, which was an award name given to the top goalkeeper in the Super League. He represented his club in 3 different spells, where he was able to win 14 major titles.
  5. The reason why his tweet was found so weird, is because was known as a man who loved his country. Hakan Şükür represented Turkey more than 100 times, where he was able to score over 50 goals, creating a name for himself as the best goal-scorer. In a World Cup in 2002, Hakan Şükür was known as the fastest ever player, and one of the most skilled strikers of that era, as he was known to have scored over 380 goals throughout his whole club career. In 2008, Hakan Şükür decided to put the ball down and retire, after he was able to score only once for his team in 13 seasons.
  6. However, after the public saw his Twitter account recently, they were surprised to see that Hakan Şükür was not that happy with the president of his own country. However, was he just not aware of the fact that insulting the president and the government, in general, can cause you jail timer? Well, the prosecutors still do not know how to deal with the situation as they are trying to get to the bottom of everything.
  7. The majority of his fans say that he posted the quote as a joke and that it was not related to their president, however, there is a number of those who think otherwise. In addition, the Twitter post was made in a way to not only offend Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan but also his son, which is probably why the public went crazy. They all know and love the son of the president, which is why currently it is unknown as to what is the future for our ex-football star, Hakan Şükür.
