Covet: Kelsey was going over the schedule for the next couple of weeks making sure everything was good and not going to be overlapping or cut short. Between shooting going on and all that entailed. She gave a bit of a sigh and flopped back onto the couch, " I wish there was a way to bank sleep for when you knew you were going to need it."
Alexithymiaa: -Brad was sitting at the mixing board messing around with the beat him and Steph had worked on yesterday afternoon, trying to make it a little smoother since he had gotten frustrated trying to teach her and basically just said he'd do it for her. He laid the vocals she'd quick recorded over the top of it so he could make certain cues and swells in the music. Pulling the headphones off his head, he swiveled around in his chair. "Lifes not fair that way. I feel like a lot of mothers would say the same thing about sleep."-
Covet: "You're probably right about that." She said with a smile. "Hopefully we'll be around to see such technology come to life. That will be the day." She laughed. " Just think on lazy days we could be banking that extra sleep for the days we know we're only going to get..." She stopped and looked down at her phone. " Three hours of sleep. You'd probably benefit from it even more than I would."
Alexithymiaa: -He gave a shrug. "Probably. Some days I'll sleep fifteen hours, and other days I go straight from the bar back to the hotel to pack and catch a plane to get back here and work. I know the feeling and the feeling sucks." He grumbled, stretching his arms back behind his head.-
Covet: "How are you feeling after your last weekend?" She asked him, tilting her head to the side. "Might not get another one of those for a while still. How's what you're working on with Steph going?" She asked him, adjusting to lay on her side while looking at him.
Alexithymiaa: "Eh, I slept in yesterday so that made up for it. I get to sleep in tomorrow again too because I don't need to be anywhere until like two or something. I forgot what Evan said." He brushed it off since he was positive Evan would remind him again between now and then. "It's good. I feel bad saying it, but I'd rather just produce it for her than teach her how to work all of this. It'll take me less time and try my patience a whole lot less."-
Covet: "I don't get a day to sleep in." Kelsey said with a frown then nodded her head. " Yeah, I can see that. At least you're still willingly doing it for her though. That's nice of you." Kelsey said with a smile.
Alexithymiaa: "I mean... I did say no at first, but she started bitching and I didn't really want to hear it so...." He shrugged, not really caring how it sounded. Kelsey knows how Steph is. "Either way, I guess I can use it for my producing demos as a sample or something, right?"-
Covet: "Exactly. That's the perfect way of thinking about it." She told him, she did know Steph, and she knew well enough to know she did it on purpose just so he would do it. She smirked at that thought then looked over at him. "Plus, I'm sure she'll help give you credit for it, when the song sells. Just more notoriety."
AlexithymiaaAlexithymiaa : "I do want to be known as a master of all crafts..." He started, thinking on it for a moment with a small nod of his head. "She did say she'd throw me some of the money when she gets paid, but I doubt I'll take anything substantial from her. Maybe a few hundred since she'll force it down my throat anyway."-
Covet: "Nobody said you had to do it all the time. You can just say it was because it was a friend. But just the fact that your name is on it, is kind of cool. Besides, they'll know anyways if it's on your demo" Kelsey told him.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, but I like producing. If I get my name on enough things, maybe someone will want me to produce their album. Like someone real, not the small time clients Mr. Roth drops on me when he doesn't have anyone to help them or they can't afford someone they've heaard of."-
Covet: "And I want to be super famous with multiple awards. But I know that there's a lot of work to get to that point. And each opportunity is definitely worth it. Besides. What if someone "Real" hears that and it's exactly the style they're loooking for... at least then they'd know who to contact." She proposed to him.
Alexithymiaa: "I know I know, I just dont have to like it." He pulled the headphones back up onto his head, offsetting them so he could listen to the beat while still hearing Kelsey. "I just like instant gratification better."-
Covet: "Instant gratification is nice for things like ice cream." Kelsey said rolling to her back, playing with her sunglasses while staring at the ceiling. " You appreciate it a lot more when you've worked hard for it. It's a good feeling."
AlexithymiaaAlexithymiaa : "Ice cream, candy, clients, contracts..." He continued, trying to add onto the list of things he wants to come easy for him. "I appreciate when I get my way. Speaking of which, I did not get my way and Ava wants dinner Thursday."-
Covet: " Oh no you poor thing you didn't get your way." Kelsey said in a semi flat tone. " Where are we going to eat?" She asked him, she didn't have too much of an issue with Ava, other than she was just bleh, she could suffer A dinner. "More importantly what's your escape plan?"
Alexithymiaa: "I have no idea. Regardless of where we go, she's going to say it's not good enough so I haven't put any thought into it. I figured halfway through, I'll have Evan call me with an emergency at the studio that I need to handle right then. If there's anything she gets, it's work stuff."-
Covet: "Does Evan know that this is the plan?" Kelsey asked, "We're taking the same vehicle, cause I dont' know if I want to be left alone with your sister all that much." Kelsey said to him.
Alexithymiaa: "Not yet, but he'll do it. I pay him to do shit like this for me." Leaning back in his chair, he tipped it back so he could get more comfortable. "Of course we're taking the same car. Why would we come in separate cars?"-
Covet: "Shit like this? You've done this to other people before?" Kelsey asked him sittin gup to look over at him. " I don't know I just wanted to make sure, because I didn't want to be left behind with her. So if she insists can you add on that it has to do with my album?"
Alexithymiaa: "Only once when I had a meeting with Nancy and it was just because she talks foreverrrr." He groaned, rolling his eyes. "Yeah, we'll just pull a Lassie. I'll claim he said whatever we want him to say. All he has to do is call me."-
Covet: " I guess that one is acceptable. I don't exactly blame you there." Kelsey said. "Though, you really shouldn't do that, it could be important stuff she is telling you, and it would look unproffesional on your part if she realized you weren't focusing on her."
AlexithymiaaAlexithymiaa : "I dont know why she doesnt just call me or email me most of the stuff she wants to have meetings about. There is literally no benefit of me being there in front of her for her to talk at me. It just makes staying awake that much harder."-
Covet: "Bradley, be honest, would you even listen to, or pay attention in the call, Or read the email? Or would you make Evan do it and just give you the cliffnotes?" She asked him, the slightest tone of annoyance in her voice.
Alexithymiaa: -He paused for a moment to consider her question, catching her tone and counting his blessings. "No, I would listen. Because I'd have the luxury of making faces and rolling my eyes throughout the whole thing which is like the therapy to get through it all."-
CovetCovet : Kelsey gave a laugh then nodded her head, "Yeah, I can see that being a benefit for sure." Kelsey said. Smart move Brad. You're learning.
Alexithymiaa: "It helps and you know it helps. It's like your own personal comic relief for shitty situations!" He said with a grin, leaning back further in his chair before he flailed a bit, that moment of panic that he thought he was falling, but wasnt.-
Covet: "Yeah yeah." Kelsey said, " I just don't want you making it a habbit. That's not a GOOD thing to be doing, so I don't want you getting used to it." Kelsey added then snickered as he flailed a bit.
Alexithymiaa: "It's just Nancy. Her job is to make me look good. I need to give her a challenge." He said with a laugh after he recovered himself, fixing his beanie.-
Covet: "I'm starting to think that it's because of clientel like you that's she's so hard on the rest of us." Kelsey said with a laugh.
Alexithymiaa: "She doesnt know any of the things I do behind her back so that can't be it. There's no way!" He raised his voice a little, pushing to stand up from his chair before getting jerked back down by the headphone wires.-
Covet: "I'm sure she picks up on it more than you think. Why do you think she chooses to have her meetings with you here? I still have email correspondance with her." Kelsey said sitting up, snickering at him again.
Alexithymiaa: "Because she's a satanist..." He mumbled under his breath, pulling the headphones off and setting them down on the mixing table. "You have meetings with her sometimes too!"-
Covet: "She's a what?" Kelsey said raising a brow, " I do have meetings with her, sometimes, but that's because she happens to be here and I'm here too. That's not really the same as her telling you to be here at a specific time."
Alexithymiaa: "Maybe she just likes me better. Maybe she thinks I'm the cuter one and she wants to meet with me in person so she can stare at me the entire time." He said with a head nod. Shut up Brad.-
Covet: Kelsey looked at Bradley and just blinked. "Okay Hun." She said then laughed, " I love that your confidence has no bounds what so ever."
Alexithymiaa: "Thank you." He said, taking it like a real compliment before standing to his feet. "Are you ready to head back to Talon?"-
Covet: "Yes, I'm tired and need to be up early in the morning." Kelsey said as she got up and stretched her arms over her head. " I want to go check on the views for Connor's video too. I shared it out with people so I'm hoping it's gotten some traffic."
Alexithymiaa: "I sent it to my parents. They thought it was really cute." He said with a grin, pulling the flash drive out of the computer and tossing it into his bag before swinging the backpack onto his back. "It's spreading, too. I checked it this morning."-
Covet: "Aww, yay, that makes me happy. We'll have to make sure to update him about it in the morning." Kelsey said with a smile, making her way slowly to the exit, waiting for Brad to catch up with her.
Alexithymiaa: "I'm sure he'll be stoked. And then we'll start planning for the next video. He needs a fanbase." He said with a smirk, swinging an arm around Kelsey's shoulders as they walked out.-
