if you want a better understanding of what i'm saying basicly there's no real competition between players ihe rankings only show who has the best time on SRC in speedrunning: YOU DO NOT COMPETE AGAINST OTHER PLAYERS YOU COMPETE AGAINST YOUR OWN TIME AND THE GAME. A sport/esport your competing against actual People and or for actual money and it's most likely your form or work. to some people this is not a solid argument but it's my own regard on the topic

speedrunning isn't a esport/sport due to lack of another player competing to win
ranks are defined by you having the best times not who's the best player
in speedrunning this is usually debatable who makes them the best player
because someone could come out of nowhere and swipe your time
just like that
the real comp in speedrunnning is YOU and only you
you and your Timer are you comp
in speedrunning
esports your comp is against a bunch of people in a super stacked tourney or league for huge cashgrabs and revenue for the game making it possible to have players compete and win money in the process

I feel MM has better explosive tech but that's really all it's got to OOT honestly OOT has far less cutscenes then MM and are far shorter
if you take out the cutsenes in MM you get a super short run
in OOT this isn't the case
