  11. The solution is to bring the farm into the city. Put the food where there are densely populated areas. Instead of spreading out the farmland, consolidate it in the city areas. Humans live in high rise buildings that make use of the space going upwards so it only makes sense to do the same with farming. and With the use of hydroponic systems, there is no need for soil to be used in the farming practices and these systems can have recyclable water systems thus being better for the environment. And since the farm in contained, there is no problem with pests and weather elemental issues.

This means less spoilage of food before it reaches the people thus minimizing waste and maximising output. This also will decrease the pollution and use of petrol that is produced and needed during the process of transporting the produce. The building is installed with solar panels and wind turbines to make use of renewable resources to power the building.

With this growing population comes a growing need for food supply. Practices for food production is also becoming more and more unsustainable.
