- Well, let’s try and find that oven before we get run over by some crazed suburban mom.

- Right.
- They probably keep them in the toy aisle, right?
- DIANA
- I think so.
- She pulls me past the aisles pretty quickly. More than a few times, <succu> has to tug me out of a forming crowd.
- I think I’ve died more times today than the past years of my life put together. And that’s saying something, considering my track record since Halloween.
- I’m not seriously looking for presents as we go past the aisles, but something catches my eye as we speed past the aisles, towards where (hopefully) Calla’s toy oven is waiting for us.
- DIANA
- Wait, can we stop here?
- There’s something I wanna grab.
- SUCCUBUS
- What? Oh, yeah, sure.
- I move away from <succu>, ducking under the crowd. The aisle is, like the rest of the store, chaotic and filled with people ready to kill each other over a football jersey, but I’ve got enough experience dodging flailing arms and crazy people after a deal.
- There are a few things left on the shelves — and the two that caught my eye are still there. There’s a cookbook on the highest shelf, and a tumbler with the logo of that sport’s team Forrest really likes on the bottom shelf.
- Which one to get him…
