Notes:
- This team maximizes speed in the early rounds (offensive Ludicolo) and safety in the later rounds (stall Venusaur). Expect the final few rounds to take 25-30 minutes each.
- Ludicolo leads rounds 1-9 because it can win a lot of battles quickly and prefers to face Fire types without having to switch into them. Venusaur leads round 10 for a better Anabel 2 battle.
- Sceptile is a great revenge killer and can sweep many teams with SubPetaya + Overgrow Leaf Blade. When it runs into a Pokemon it can't OHKO, it weakens them to 1 HP using Endeavor, setting up Ludicolo or Venusaur for a revenge kill.
- Venusaur typically wins just by landing Leech Seed and surviving a hit. It gains more HP from 2 turns of recovery than it loses from 1 Substitute, so it can just alternate Substitute and Protect until the opponent's HP is depleted. Sludge Bomb is for Grass types and revenge kills.
- Venusaur survives nearly all Psychic, Fire, Ice and Flying moves, and it can PP stall the strong ones (Fire Blast, Overheat and Blizzard). Psychic and Fire types that outspeed Venusaur are a big threat, but Ludicolo handles them well.
- Ludicolo is given Hydro Pump since it gets more kills than Fire Punch or Thunderpunch, and it's OK if you die to missing Hydro Pump since Sceptile and Venusaur beat most teams by themselves.
