Scout Bozell has always dreamt of being on his school's Safety Patrol. The only reason he cannot join is because he is very clumsy. He's sent to another school because his old school would not let him become part of their Safety Patrol. But his new school does let him on the Safety Patrol.
All Scout Bozell wants is to be on his school's Safety Patrol. The only problem: his extraordinary and obliviously clumsy nature. When Scout transfers to a new school, his new friends warn him their Safety Patrol, led by the principal's son, are bullies and reign over the place. What Scout and his friends don't know is two staff members are professional thieves and using the 'Safeties' to assist in their crime ring. When the principal learns a member of the Patrol is involved in the thefts plaguing the school, the 'Safeties' name Scout one of them with a devious plan to set him up!
After I watched Safety patrol again since it's been so long, I realized something. Scout Bozell was obsessed with being on Safety Patrol, but he was so clumsy. Now, in the Princess Diaries, Mia Thermopolis was a girl that never fit in, but when discovered she could be a princess, that's when things turned around, despite the fact that she was clumsy as well. When Scout got transferred to another school, he had to start over from scratch. He ended up making new friends and he ended up liking another girl named Hannah. At his old school, he sort of liked Julie. It's like he sort of likes 2 girls at the same time. But all that changed when Scout noticed she was going with someone else. That stinks. Also, at his new school, he was accepted on the Safety Patrol. But he didn't know that not only they were bullies, they were using him. It was the same thing in the Princess Diaries when Mia was asked to go to the beach with Josh Bryant. Later on, he made a fool out of her by kissing her so he could get his 15 minutes of fame. In Safety patrol, those bullies took advantage of a sweet person like Scout Bozell by framing him in front of the whole school for something he didn't do. What jerks. In the scene when he was crying, I felt bad for him and realized that after Mia got humiliated, she was crying too. but the difference is in Safety Patrol, things were okay after he talked to his grandfather, but in Princess Diaries, her grandmother was extremely disappointed by what she saw in the newspaper. But eventually at school, after she talked everything over with her friend Lily and her brother Michael, things were okay. My favorite part in Safety Patrol, is when Scout and his friends got back at the bullies by exposing them. They deserved it. Plus, Kent's mother wasn't happy about the fact that he framed Scout. I'm also glad that in the end, Scout and his friends were Safety Patrols. That works a lot better than a pack of bullies on Safety Patrol. The bullies didn't deserve to be on Safety Patrol in the first place. Nobody wanted to be around them because they were jerks. Also, in the Princess Diaries, I'm glad that Mia got back at the kids that humiliated her, especially one of the cheerleaders. I laughed when Mia got ice cream on the girls cheerleading uniform. She deserved it. Also, I think Scout finally got the girl of his dreams after exposing the bullies, which was Hannah. He also went after her once he saw her get abducted. That was sweet, especially when they hugged. Also, in the Princess Diaries, Mia got the man of her dreams. That was really romantic when they kissed and her foot popped. Both Safety patrol and Princess diaries are worth watching. There are similarities and differences with Scout Bozell and Mia Thermopolis.
Now, I have no way of knowing whether this movie was supposed to be realistic or not, sure didn&#39;t seem like it.<br/><br/>It begins with a child named Scout Bozell (Bug Hall) who has a life long dream of becoming a safety patrol for his school. He is a very clumsy kid.<br/><br/>In the movie, there is a child who is eaten by a giant tuna fish, a huge squirrel statue that goes through a whole neighborhood, a dead frog that comes back to life during a science lab experiment, and a whole bunch of other unrealistic things that were just not funny at all. The movie seems like it was written by a bunch of middle school kids who had nothing better to do, not experience producers.<br/><br/>Scout gets involved in the wrong crowd, who is a gang of bullies who are in charge of the safety patrol. Instead of helping the kids cross the street, they give them wedgies and take their money. The only good actors in the movie.<br/><br/>Also, are two people who pose as maintenance workers to steal the valuables from the school, and are working under false names. Their performance wasn&#39;t too impressive either.<br/><br/>This movie just was filmed with mainly unknowns, except for Bug Hall. Not that you have to be a famous actor for a good actor, but I have no idea what the casting director for this movie was thinking.
