  1. [23:34] Well, he'd a destination in mind he'd have kept an even pace outside the city further assisting his desire to shake off the horrendous feeling of his hangover. The party had ended hours ago but he was still struggling to shake it off. When he crossed the western bridge and spotted the young Remei face-first in the dirt he'd stop.
  2.
  3. Walking over he dropped to a knee and rolled them over onto their back. He wasn't yet a fully trained medica but he understood the intricates of first aid. Golden hues searched their frame for a few moments as they looked for any injuries. He didn't know what put them down but it was most likely a bandit or beast.
  4.
  5. Therefor he paid attention to their chest, the most likely place to be stabbed. Though after a moment his gaze went ot he arms, looking for bites at that point. As he looked them over a hand came to rest easily upon their wrist, feeling the vein there for a pulse.
  6.
  7. As he did so they'd start to stir, recovering the consciousness that had been lost by whatever took place here. As they awoke the noble's slightly pain filled words filled the air, he really was shaking off that hang-over. "Remei, you've suffered what appears to be at-least a concussion. We're outside the western gate. Are you alright, can you tell me what happened?"
  8. (Claude vey Pelleaux)
  9. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  10.
  11. [23:37]
  12. {LOAD GAME}
  13.
  14. [23:37] Travelling about, the slightly less grimy teen would waltz up, seeing the noble that was his boss, and clamming up a bit. He didn't mean to COMPLETELY miss the job shindig he had going on, but life honestly hit him like a truck.
  15.
  16. Trying to find a few words of note here to sugarcoat his absence, the bubbly teen would cough into a balled fist.
  17.
  18. "E-erm 'poligies for missin' out at the Gala.... I stopped back by the church -right- before it.. kinda got tied up... but I... uh? I'm chosen by a star now.. if that helps at all...
  19.
  20. If ya don't mind too, I kinda wanted to learn more about it some. But, my cele .Cellesh . My star's Leo, the brightest of the Yellow.. Hope ya ain't too sour at me."
  21. (Robin E. Queen)
  22. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  23.
  24. [23:40] The dirty, grimy and foul looking teen kept their head low as the Nobleman tended to the Gravekeeper. Their tongue bit hard, and two small, ornate looking urns held close to their chest.
  25.
  26. Their eyes were averted away from Claude and his band, though they lingered in the foreground, beneath the shade of a tree. Sometimes rolling their shoulders- looking both out of place and suspicious.
  27. (Taylen)
  28. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  29.
  30. [23:42] Face-down in the dirt. Not breathing well but breathing nonetheless. They didn't seem to notice the approach of several people, mainly for the fact that they were out like a light until the sun started to peek through the eyeholes of their mask.
  31.
  32. Steely grey eyes fluttered open to see the purple-haired man kneeling over them. Their bleary gaze shifted away, once recognition struck, to stare at absolutely nothing in the distance.
  33.
  34. They didn't seem horribly injured. What with the new leathers they sported it seemed a majority of whatever happened was mitigated by armor. But there were scratches. Little bite-marks and tiny cuts along their bare arms.
  35.
  36. After a few coughs, the kid spoke up. "Was.. was just o-out- Collecting.. collecting some f-flowers. Wanted to p-plant them near m-my home.
  37.
  38. Stupid.. s-stupid rabbit, used wind and- Took the b-breath right out of m-me. Um.. Hi.. mister Lord sir.."
  39. (Remei)
  40. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  41.
  42. [23:45] A gaze drifts towards Robin, the visibly paled Fors giving him a simple nod before stepping forward alongside his superior with visible concern. The keeper of the graveyard's condition invoked a sense of worry within him, their brief but inpsiring interaction in the midst of Stein's patrol giving him a sense of appreciation for them and their deeds.
  43.
  44. "A rabbit...? You alright?"
  45.
  46. His natural tone, even in the presence of Claude, was relatively strange. His posture, though, contrasted this - as if he were forcing himself to stand straight, proud, and presentable.
  47. (Fors)
  48. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  49.
  50. [23:50] There was a shift of his gaze only once towards Robin as he apologized for his absence. Beyond the boy was another resident of Sudbury, those orbs of amber seemed to pierce the distance and bore right into the lad. Yet, it was only for a moment as his gaze shifted back to Remei. A dismissive wave was given to Robin's apology, the meaning was simple, the absence forgiven and forgotten with the flourish of delicate digits.
  51.
  52. As for the girl(?!) before him he'd hum soft, casually reaching into his satchel he'd brought with him. Retrieving a bottle of alcohol, pouring it into his hankerchief. The blue satin hues of the cloth darkening quickly as they then started to rub the alcohol across those injuries that covered the girl.
  53.
  54. "Hold still, this will sting. I've a few bandages for the scraps and cuts but I don't think they'll be needed. Just keep them washed and cleaned. The worst though leave the bandages on until they are soiled." As he spoke he quickly wrapped a roll of gauze about a particularly fierce looking bit into he girls arm.
  55.
  56. Then once it was done he stood, a flicker of light seemed to dance upon his visage as he did so. His gaze shifted from his current undertaking to the passing citizens. Then he turned his eyes northwards. "I've a meeting with a business acquaintance of mine to the north. Mr. Karnstein, Mr. Queen, Mr. Merith, Fors. You are all freed to accompany or return to your homes such is your choice." He leveled a critical gaze upon Remei for a moment and then added. "I would speak to you after that meeting."
  57. (Claude vey Pelleaux)
  58. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  59.
  60. [23:53] Amidst his apologizing, Robin would notice the smaller teen with bite marks, scratches and the like feeling that it was unfortunate that they'd been injured by an apparent rabid lupine.. or possibly THE ROAD LIZARD? With a bit of duty carrying him, and scrambling to take out a few of his own medical supplies given by Rector Blaire the teen looked to be on the job.
  61.
  62. Though as he was there, it seemed that the noble was already on it, he'd take some rubbing alcohol and apply it right before the gauze was added, working in tandem with Lord Pelleaux.
  63.
  64. Packing all that away afterwards though he'd simply hop into the line, figuring he'd talk to the noble some later... and had nothing better to do than follow the line.
  65.
  66. "Ya sure a rabbit did that to ya? Looks like ya almost got ambushed by somethin' half man, part demon an' part lizard.. rather than just a rascally rabbit but I ain't the expert...
  67.
  68. Just, ya, what boss said, keep it clean."
  69. (Robin E. Queen)
  70. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  71.
  72. [23:54] Argus Merith whispers: So, if you don't mind, Lord Claude, I will be going back to the city. See you later.
  73. [23:55] Claude vey Pelleaux whispers: You've leave Argus.
  74. [23:55] Claude vey Pelleaux whispers: Let Sir Solenne and Sir Montclaire know I have left for the Dojo.
  75. [23:57] There's a simple and professional nod sent to the direction of his superior, his lord, and his intent is made clear in the moment to follow. He'd no reason to split up now, and a part of him held some actual curiosity about the whereabouts of the barely sobered Claude and his actions in his spare time. His gaze falls to Robin -
  76.
  77. "I'm going to go along. You?"
  78. (Fors)
  79. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  80.
  81. [23:57] The gaze was something that would normally not be met.
  82.
  83. But the youth did so this time. Meeting the brief piercing stare that bored right through them. Jade eyes meeting the piercing stare, and returned with what could only be a seething glower. Their yellowed teeth pressed together, and the sharper canines visibly digging into their lower lip. Their fingertips scraped against the urns in their grip, small, pointed and foul claw-like nails. Sharp, unkempt, dirty.
  84.
  85. But it was only a second- the youth's gaze breaking away long before the man returned his attention back towards Remei. A quiet noise from the treeline made. Something along the lines of a snorting, derisive grunt.
  86.
  87. But they didn't say anything. And remained within the dark shade of the tree. Sometimes leering bitterly from the shadows but otherwise keeping that air of teenage angst and broodiness to themselves rather than vocalizing it.
  88.
  89. They didn't seem too concerned about Remei, but when he started treating Remei's wounds, they'd start to tense up. Muscles strained for a moment- until the gauze was quickly wrapped around her arm. Then the tension in their shoulders grew lax.
  90.
  91. But whatever Claude had said caught their attention. A soft crackling snap of teeth grinding together as they shifted. Unnerved by-
  92.
  93. By something he had mentioned. Clearly.
  94. (Taylen)
  95. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  96.
  97. [23:59] Giving a faint nod to Fors some, the boy didn't see anything else to do about now. He'd rub his chin some, but mostly let things play out around him feeling that he -probably- wasn't going to get paid today.
  98. (Robin E. Queen)
  99. [00:01] {GUILD} You contributed 300c to House Pelleaux
  100. [00:04] It was the scent that tipped them off before the noble said a word about what to expect. They knew what alcohol was, and how it was used to clean injuries. Not all that long ago they'd used it themself to tend to the wounds of a friend who'd stopped by.
  101.
  102. Still it was a pain. They were only just catching their breath properly again, and anxiety at being close to so many people at once clung to their heart. Keeping still seemed a herculean task to the young gravedigger.
  103.
  104. At one point they outright grabbed the hand he was using to clean their wounds and pulled it away for a moment. Just a moment, without any sign of aggression, but the sharp yelp they'd let out a moment prior was reason enough to tell. That had hurt. A lot.
  105.
  106. When he'd finished up, the kid shuffled backward on the ground, getting out of arm's reach before they stood. And even then, their shoulders were hunched. Their arms crossed over their chest.
  107.
  108. They seemed about ready to bolt until he said that last sentence. At that, they swallowed hard, a glance spared out toward the trees. Toward the sharp snap of teeth.
  109.
  110. "Um. Uh.. yeah a.. a rabbit that d-did wind.. things.. it was.. kind of s-scary and..I'm not s-sure why you would w-want to talk to leetle ol' me- it's not like notlikeI'mimportantoranything" Their voice grew softer and softer, like they were running out of breath when they spoke. Only, they could clearly take a full breath with ease.
  111.
  112. Maybe a side-effect of the hyperventilation? "I- c-can't.. Say no.. I.. guess? OrcanI?"
  113. (Remei)
  114. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  115.
  116. [00:10] "Speak clearly girl or not at all." There was clear disdain in his voice as he spoke. Though it was clear that he'd heard them the whimpering had apparently offended him in some way. With a deep breath he'd then shift his gaze to the one by the tree. There was a moment of contemplation at that glare he gave, but finally he'd simply shake his head.
  117.
  118. Just a malnourished child as far as he could see. He turned his focus back to those near him. He waved towards the starving youth. "Mr. Karnstein, if you've some of the left-overs treat Remei, her friend, and yourselves to a bit to eat." After he'd spoken he turned his back on them and headed north.
  119.
  120. They where free to follow or stay, or even leave. He'd left them their choice but it was clear he needed to speak to the Head of the Dojo urgently and couldn't delay longer.
  121.
  122. (Claude vey Pelleaux)
