The only thing he couldn't gather was why Ashalle was describing Tempest. Did he also have something to do with the incident?

She simply keeps her focus upon the cobblestone, a light smile appearing on her features.

"I didn't fight or cause a bunch of ruckus to just beat up on Crafthold people. I fought for this place, for Gehenna. Even when I said that I didn't want to be here- I did...I do." She looks away. "It's my home, the only place I've ever known and it's way better than anywhere else in Agartha but...What I said isn't a lie. I don't want to be here if my people don't care about me and my family. [14:34] A deep breath was taken in and he'd fold his arms across his chest. The teen's eyes slowly panned over everyone who was gathered, but particularly lingered on the few he didn't recognize just a little longer; specifically the masked individual.

There was something oddly familiar about him, but the teen just couldn't quite pin down what it was yet. It was boiled down to either two things though, either he saw him before, or heard something about him --and if it was the latter, then it wouldn't have been anything good.

He then looked over to Kamui after he explained what happened to him and then shot his gaze back to Tempest, offering a small smirk and a nod of the head.

Was he approving of what happened? Who knew.

He'd gesture around the square to the now decade or so old reconstruction as he joined the Thornberries, walking past the other adults. "Crafthold send us wood, stone, food, medicine, other supplies to rebuild.They're an ally of ours, the only one we have. Their lands, people, customs, and laws should be respected. Though you're all young, but a warning has been given." His eyes would now rest on Ashalle.

"You broke their laws, it clearly wasn't resolved in a manner we can leave alone, otherwise Ohtli would not be here." Eyes would drift over the party. "Ohtli, the woman that has served our tribes longer than anyone, the woman has served this realm for decades trying to bring peace. She is one of the greatest friends you could make, and an excellent teacher. I advise you all get to know her a little better, I think it'll do you great good." Eyes would rest back on Ashalle.

"The loud mouth said I recommended beating, but he didn't tellyou the rest. Beating for you to recognize authority, as any Gehennan would. Then I suggested education, our relations with Crafthold in particular and perhaps some recommendations on how to handle the situation. Then you and Ashur would work to pay off your bounty and apologize to the officials, so that you could return to Crafthold." He'd explain his full side more clearly, without interruption.

"I'm willing to remove the beating, as clearly this form of trial has already done a number on your spirits, and I just gave you the lesson on crafthold. Therefore I think just the apologies and working for the bounty will be enough.. But ultimately it is up to Tototl." She shakes her head, her lowered tone beginning to raise slightly.

"Our Chieftain has already approved of him killing us, saying that it's what Gehennans do. He let an outsider stop him while that boy tried to slap my sister with a claw from Ixchel-knows-where, and that's apparently okay. They disrespected him, us, and he did nothing about it. Instead, he let them leave." There was no point. Nothing at all.

"The truth of the matter is rather simple. I don't want to return to Crafthold ever. I'd rather be banned from going there for as long as I live than to pay them a single coin that I get from off the street. They couldn't respect my need to make this place better and neither could you all." She trembles...

"I might need help in learning how things go, but I know enough to know that I'm not welcome here. That we aren't. Thank you for trying to help us, Sugarboy but..." She stops. "Kamui doesn't lie. He's tells the truth, and instead of saying that I wouldn't do that...You didn't even think of defending me. You all asked what you should do and our chieftain even suggested worse." This place is a lie. A big one.

"Since I don't want to be in Crafthold ever again, give me the beating. Just know that the rest of us will make ourselves scarce in this place too." The chances of the their little group of seven ever returning to this place slim to none. Gehennan didn't deserve it.

[15:04] Crask simply rolled his eyes both sides arguing, neither even listening, just trying to shout over each other. The adults trying to subdue the kids and the kids not even thinking of respecting the ways and wishes of another culture, another people. Simply assuming they can fix everything... that's not how life works. Nobody was willing to listen to reason, Sugarboy was atleast trying to come to a mid point but even that was thrown back in his face.

[15:16] Tototl's hands rub the temples of his head. Tired, exhausted - Why couldn't he get a lick of sleep these days? He'd shift away from the rat swarm, gradually moving along through the square to join Sugarboy before the Thornberries.

"It's not that you are not welcome here, you few, it's that you must know there are consequences to actions." His hands come together, the tired gaze scanning over the few. "Breaking a law in an ally's state is punishable, and I'm not going to stop them from punishing or jailing you if they see fit. You want to get your creatures stronger? There's fish daemons on the beach northwest of the square, creatures in the adamantine cave. You don't need Crafthold's cave to train them."

"As for approving of another killing you? No. I arrived and saw you few pushing one of the outsiders about, then you few went into a fight." Tototl's hues dart towards the very few themselves. "Why they're still here is something I'm going to deal with."

A long drawn in breath is taken, huffed out through his nose. Punishment. "Sugarboy's idea is far grander than mine, truthfully. You can take that, or lose a hand."

He did want her sister to be punished for walking on some land that she agreed to never go back to and hasn't. And even they were all under the assumption she had done it -again-, while Ashiya pleaded on behalf of her sister that it was not true.

They don't listen to the Thornberries but expect them to listen to them without question -- they were supposed to be puppets to their word. "They don't give us stuff, we have to pay for it, what are you going on? If they didn't mind us touching stone or their stuff, this wouldn't be happening, now would it?" While she is partially ignorant, some of these adults talks didn't add up. It seems she wasn't backing down, because it was indeed, the Thornberries versus Gehenna so far.

"Well, working it off is better than hand and tongue removal." There is a puff of her cheeks in clear aggravation as she kept looking up at Sugarboy, "If it really warmed your heart, you would care more about what happens to us." She can't really believe any of them anymore, even her precious Lotus had betrayed them! Oh the heartbreak. . .!

"No one besides the Thornberries care for me." And it was vice versa, "No one but the Thorneberries care for the Thornberries." Ashiya was never brilliant with expressing her feelings and sometimes she didn't make much sense.

"If you all wish to leave, Idon't believe it'd be within our jurisdiction to punish you, but then again I don't see much point in administering a punishment if you're going to leave anyway. That said, your two options are Dawn and Huang, you all don't seem to fond of dawn, and you'd probably hate it there even more.. So Huangzhao, and let me tell you, if you think we're being hard on this? Huang is much more frustratingly so." He knew all about Huangzhao, and Dawn for that matter, all too intimately.

"Should you all choose to leave, I can go further into each.. Though as I said, I'd really like to see this turned around so we can be.. One big ol' tribe, to fight and bleed alongside one another as we protect these lands we all love so dearly. I don't really know what else to say other than that."
