It's, dark, the ground is hard and wet underneath you, and a light drizzle peppers your slowly waking bodies.

  22. May 08 20:38:09 <castfromhp> As you get a better sense of your surroundings, you realize that aside from the parking lot here, the lightning is rather sparse. You're definitely not in the heart of the city, probably out in the burbs. Your vision's still a bit blurry, but you can make out storefronts around you. Most are dimmed, but you see a bright set of lights shining out of a restaurant in the distance.

  28. May 08 20:40:10 <castfromhp> Victoria slowly lifts her face from the pavement, fails and falls forward on it again, and settles for rolling over instead. She takes out her phone and squints at it through her fingers, blocking out most of the light. "...it's 4 am."
  29. May 08 20:40:46 <Travis_Germaine> "Here, if you're thirsty." he offers the flask to Ramita as his hangover begins to clear up.

  32. May 08 20:43:05 <Nicholas_Blackfield> "4 AM in the bloody morning..." He rubs his forehead with his good hand. "In the middle of who knows where." He starts looking around, shading his eyes with his hand because it hurts to look at anything.

  34. May 08 20:43:18 * Ramita somehow gets to her feet, then takes her jacket off to twist the water out of it. She looks to Travis and takes the flask with one hand, but looks at it suspiciously. "What's in here?"
  35. May 08 20:43:23 * Claudia_Scordato stops her futile efforts and just wraps herself in the towel. "Ugh, what did we drink last night..."

  54. May 08 20:49:05 <Ramita> Ramita looks pretty baffled as its snatched away from her, half cause she's still plastered, half because she's suddenly getting more sober. "Oh, well this is no fun." She starts wandering toward the restaraunt.

  59. May 08 20:49:40 <castfromhp> Victoria tries to drink it while laying sideways on the ground. It doesn't work very well. She mumbles and curses and struggles into a sitting position before taking a proper swig.

  63. May 08 20:51:50 <castfromhp> The gist of the texts and voicemails you got from Sato say that he found another Distortion to investigate, but it wasn't a high priority tonight. Unfortunately, he happened to message you while you were all out partying, and based on the texts you sent back to him, you apparently all drunkenly blustered that you'll go take care of it RIGHT NOW.

A waitress is bringing a fourth order of fries to a miserable looking table of cosplayers, a man and woman couple are both slumped headsdown on the table with an absolutely monstrous burger set between them, and off in the corner a disheveled girl is curled up playing a DS while sipping soda loudly

  79. May 08 20:57:00 <castfromhp> The decor in this place...is what you'd expect. Large halftone anime graphics adorn the walls, every burger on the menu has a cute little mascot representing it, and cheery J-pop plays out of the speakers.

  88. May 08 21:01:56 <castfromhp> The person behind the counter begins ringing you up for a teriyaki burger, but then someone else leans over to punch in the code for the crab burger instead. The two get into a heated argument about which burger is "best girl", and some of the cosplayers join in, heckling them. You get your water cup, at least.

  90. May 08 21:02:52 * Claudia_Scordato digs out a granola bar from her purse, opens it up, and starts eating it as crumbs shower down her hand, whispering to herself. "Fucking weebs." She pulls out a water bottle afterwards.

Upon completion, they jump up and celebrate, and one of the waitstaff congratulates them. "Omedetou! You get to take our super special tour!" She leads them through the kitchen door in the distortion, behind which you catch a glimpse of a sprawling facility.

  160. May 08 21:27:14 <Ramita> "And can we get it in non-beef options? Because these two are huge pussies about eating beef," she points at the two males.
