- The mind wandered...
- Mulled about, contemplating what exactly would manage to set one's efforts apart?
- One's fervor to transcend could only have gotten so far, whilst being so limited...
- "... Vana'rath…"
- Terminus mulled aloud, fluidly turning his attention for the Malevolence anchored by the island's east-side.
- A last ditch effort...
- Orfeas was not here to raise more undead to their aid...
- Vana'rath departed for his desired dreamscape...
- But at least, they collectively left behind their resources.
- "Let's see what you were holding on to, all those years..."
- A step forth, and the shadows of the night rendered his flesh to naught but smog...
- The transition towards his etheric state was growing more swift with practice throughout the years, typically opting to remain in one state or the other, made the occasional shift take all-the-bit longer.
- But alas, ebonic smog rolled into the depths of the Malevolence, exploring its dark corridors.
- Chests flipped open, and contents levitated up for the air...
- The ebb and shift of material against the atmosphere was utilized to properly ascertain exactly what it was he was examining...
- That was... until several particular artifacts stuck out to him.
- "Oh?"
- Trinkets and heirlooms of bloodlines and factions alike: A collection with history that likely could've explained a sizeable gap of time while Terminus was in hibernation beneath Meranthe.
- "So, you were busy after all...
- Quite the collective. How many humans did you slaughter to achieve this..." Attention marveled over each piece, each weapon, each set of armor... All assets to find use in the looming future.
- Though, eventually -- more powerful discoveries were uncovered.
- "Alchemic finds?"
- Vials, Bottles, moonstones, mana-absorbent eggs? These weren't things that something like Vana'rath could actually put to viable use? Were they?
- Though, it was inevitable...
- Something else did arrest Terminus' attention.
- "Oh... But this -was-..."
- One. Two.
- "Three... Magic Core fragments... Why you never managed to use them is... Beyond me." The Ancient Kaor Lord mulled to himself, levitating them away from their respective chests.
- "Perhaps... You were planning to use a human to forge them into weapons..." He thought aloud...
- "Perhaps, your nethrademon origins required you to tend to your more... Mortal-like tendencies, and utilize such conjurations in tools... Equipment... Foolish. Such a stature you bore would never be compatible."
- There was not much more down here to be explored in the moment...
- These, would do for now.
- "Sirgurd will seek out more fragments as tribute... But, for now..."
- The boat dramatically swayed.
- In the nightscape, Terminus had rematerialized himself, this time uptop the boat. The bob and wade it'd typically make on the ocean's surface was greatly tested -- for its buoyancy was contested by his physical form's weight.
- Though, it was here that he extended his upper-left arm to the skies above...
- A stretch of his anatomy as it reformed, and theatric display as his digits unfurled, revealing the three fragments. Small as they were, each one harbored an adequate boon of mana. If it was enough to empower a magi's weapon? It would be enough to empower him
- "I have to thank the plant... For whatever reason, it simply never dawned upon me of the nature of these... Things..." To his mouth his hand cusped, dropping that of...
- - Mazchna
- - Agni
- - Agaron
- More tributes as far as one was concerned...
- And key ingredients, to Terminus' greatest damnation to Meranthe thus far.
- (Terminus)
