+nationalparksign __ Another great breakdown. I haven't as yet had a chance to go through the video - though when I first saw the video posted I loaded it up and dived in at a random spot.




There is a "compression oddity" to be found at around 3m:34s. I posted an unlisted video about it here: watch?v=y-z_uokHvXw




What I've pointed out is very subtle and probably insignificant - but I'd still like to see the same thing happening in known good footage (to be able to rule it out in terms of shenanigans).




What we need to do (in addition to writing up a FAQ) is document each of these potential editing points and rate them in terms of "subtleness" etc. Also - where possible - to link to "known good footage" that replicates the problem or note that it hasn't yet been replicated. (And challenge "normal people" to find known good equivalents - it should be easy, right? Since it is so common in "ISS" footage!)




To be able to direct people to a FAQ which has links to isolated samples of the glitches, cuts, edits and pans we are pointing out would really help.




The fact you have been taking such detailed notes of so many "ISS" videos will be invaluable to compiling that kind of resource.
