Eriko visits Simon's Family

[9:52pm] Proto_Lost: Simon stands outside the path to his house, feeling a bit nervous...He's never had visitors over before, especially not from his work.
[10:09pm] Alivi: Eriko soon walks up the path with a small bag. She waves to Simon.
[10:10pm] Proto_Lost: Simon waves back and heads toward her to take her bag. "Glad you could make it Eriko, how was your flight?"
[10:11pm] Alivi: "It was ok, very interesting."
[10:16pm] Alivi: "S-So…this is it…" Eriko seems a bit nervous.
[10:17pm] Proto_Lost: The path they're walking on is cut through a forest, seems like Simon likes his privacy. "Yeah, though it's a bit old-looking once you see it."
[10:18pm] Alivi: "Still..."
[10:18pm] Proto_Lost: They trudge through the path, the leaves crackling as they go.
[10:19pm] Alivi: "So….t-they speak English…right?
[10:19pm] Alivi: "
[10:21pm] Proto_Lost: "They do kid, don't worry. Alyana slips into Russian from time to time, but that's only with her mother."
[10:21pm] Alivi: "Ah…how old is she now?"
[10:24pm] Proto_Lost: "7 years now, and a little bundle of energy." The trees are starting to give way, and Eriko might be able to see a rather large house at the end of the path.
[10:24pm] Alivi: "Wow… your house is very big..."
[10:28pm] Proto_Lost: The house is set in a small clearing, best described as Victorian-looking, give or take a few years. There are a few vines beginning to creep up one side of the house, but they seem to have been cut recently.
[10:30pm] Alivi: "Wow… is this…real?"
[10:31pm] Proto_Lost: "Yeah, swiped it at a steal a few years ago...it looks and smells its age inside, but damn if it doesn't look classy."
[10:32pm] Alivi: Eriko giggles.
[10:34pm] Proto_Lost: "Now come, let's get out of this cold, you'll catch your death out here if you stay outside too long at night." He picks up his pace and heads for the porch, where beyond it lights can be seen in the living room.
[10:34pm] Alivi: Eriko nods and hurries.
[10:37pm] Proto_Lost: Simon opens the door for her and holds it open. "Ladies first."
[10:37pm] Alivi: Eriko nods and takes off her shoes. "Ok…"
[10:37pm] Alivi: She picks them up and enters into the house.
[10:38pm] Proto_Lost: He sees her do this, and decides to just have her put them on inside. The floor feels very cold, despite the wooden floors and the crackling fire in the hearth nearby.
[10:39pm] Proto_Lost: The living room, nay the entire house seems sparsely furnished, with a few photos hanging on the faded green walls. Nearly everything looks like it's made of wood, and it feels a bit drafty.
[10:40pm] Alivi: "Wow..."
[10:40pm] Alivi: "Its lovely."
[10:41pm] Proto_Lost: "Eh, it's what we have, and we're happy with it. Also, put on your shoes, the floor's really cold."
[10:42pm] Alivi: "No… it is rude." Eriko seems shocked at the request.
[10:43pm] Alivi: "And I can see why, you've decorated it nicely…" She seems super sincere.
[10:45pm] Proto_Lost: "Kid, we're not in Japan, you're in my house, and shoes indoors are a must, unless you want to wake up without feeling your toes." He says gently. The living room is connected to the kitchen by an open doorway, and some faint singing can be heard in there.
[10:45pm] Alivi: Eriko sighs and puts them on.
[10:46pm] Alivi: "I feel so bad for your wife…. cleaning up in place where you wear shoes… "
[10:46pm] Alivi: The thought of wearing shoes inside is a big big shock, why doesnt he have slippers for the house if it is so cold??
[10:46pm] ShockwaveLover: Can you imagine Simon in slippers, Eriko?
[10:47pm] Proto_Lost: "The floors aren't getting any cleaner kid, might as well just keep it dirty." He says with a laugh.
[10:47pm] Alivi: Its possible.
[10:47pm] Alivi: Eriko sighs.
[10:49pm] Proto_Lost: Simon calls into the kitchen. "My love, our guest is here, why don't you introduce yourself?"
[10:49pm] Proto_Lost: The sound of cutlery being set aside is heard, and a faint "Coming!" follows after.
[10:51pm] Alivi: Eriko gets nervous. She takes a small breath to steady herself. She has no idea what he told them of her.
[10:51pm] Proto_Lost: A small and slight woman appears in the doorway, clad in a dress and a red apron. Her hair is tied up in a bun, and she looks a bit tired, but happy. Height-wise, she's a few inches taller than Eriko.
[10:51pm] Proto_Lost: "You must be Eriko, I'm Trishka Coterrell." She says with a smile.
[10:52pm] Alivi: "Y-Yes….it is a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for having me and putting up with all the trouble I am causing by coming over…" Eriko bows a bit.
[10:54pm] Proto_Lost: "Oh, she's very courteous!" She bows slowly in return, and once she rises she takes Eriko's hand in hers.. "You caused no trouble dear, now come sit down, you must be tired from that flight of yours."
[10:55pm] Alivi: "A-ah…t-thank you..."
[10:57pm] Proto_Lost: She leads Eriko to a nearby chair close to the fire, and motions for her to sit down.
[10:59pm] Alivi: Eriko nods and sits. She looks at Simon.
[11:00pm] Proto_Lost: Simon just smiles at her, and does a little wave before heading upstairs to change out of his winter gear.
[11:01pm] Alivi: Eriko watches Simon go with her belongings. She rubs her arms.
[11:02pm] Proto_Lost: Trishka sits down on the opposite chair. "Now Simon's told me quite a bit about you, and while he paints a sad story, I'll admit he's not very handy with subtlety, yeah?" she says, a warm smile never leaving her face.
[11:04pm] Alivi: "Simon paints? Subtly?" It is clear she doesn't understand.
[11:06pm] Proto_Lost: "Oh, forgive me, I forgot he mentioned that English wasn't your first language. I mean that he doesn't tell a story very well...so I'd like to hear your tale from you."
[11:06pm] Alivi: "My story…" Eriko seems a bit nervous. "I do not wish to trouble you like that..."
[11:10pm] Proto_Lost: "My child, I don't want to have you carry this burden by yourself. If anything pains a mother's heart so, it's seeing a child in pain."
[11:10pm] Alivi: Eriko looks at Trishka.
[11:13pm] Alivi: She rubs her arms a bit.
[11:13pm] Proto_Lost: "You shouldn't walk around with this kind of weight on your shoulders Eriko, take it from someone who lost her own family."
[11:14pm] Alivi: "What do you want to know?"
[11:14pm] Alivi: Eriko's voice is somewhat sad.
[11:15pm] Proto_Lost: "I know all about your story, I just want you to hear it. We can't move on from our burdens until we hear it for ourselves, only then do we see how we can fix it."
[11:17pm] Alivi: "I know it…. I know it all too well..."
[11:17pm] Proto_Lost: Trishka nods. "Have you told your family that you're still living?"
[11:18pm] Alivi: Eriko shakes her head.
[11:18pm] Alivi: "They do not know… it is probably for the best..."
[11:18pm] Proto_Lost: She looks a bit surprised. "Well why not dear?"
[11:20pm] Alivi: "I… I tried to…but…." she looks down.
[11:21pm] Alivi: "I wonder if it would hurt them more."
[11:22pm] Alivi: "I lost…everything…from my old life when i went to work… but now….now that we can go back… I find that I cannot get these things back." She is tearing up.
[11:22pm] Proto_Lost: " think any parent would be overjoyed to hear that their child is alive after so long."
[11:24pm] Alivi: "…Simon said…the same thing. But…." She sighs. "I've heard rumors…S-Simon doesn't know yet."
[11:25pm] Proto_Lost: "Rumors?"
[11:32pm] Alivi: "According to what I heard….my father….passed away last year..."
[11:36pm] Proto_Lost: Trishka puts a hand to her mouth, and the silence that follows sounds heavy.
[11:38pm] Alivi: Eriko covers her face with her hands.
[11:40pm] Proto_Lost: "H-have you confirmed it?:
[11:40pm] Proto_Lost: *"
[11:42pm] Alivi: Eriko nods, "I went to my old home… it was empty."
[11:45pm] Alivi: "They said my mother moved… but.. I do not know where she is..."
[12:04am] Proto_Lost: "Oh dear, my poor sweet child...what of that man who pledged to marry you? Didn't he leave some sort of message?"
[12:05am] Alivi: "He was the one who told me…" Her voice is weak and wavering.
[12:06am] Alivi: "Do not tell Simon…I think…he would get upset..."
[12:10am] Proto_Lost: Trishka looks deep in thought, and upstairs, the sound of a child's laughter can be faintly heard. "Are you sure he's telling the truth? He did tell everyone that you had perished when you had not, he might be lying to you again."
[12:11am] Alivi: "I went to my house myself… no one was there… even if he wasn't I do not know where they are." Eriko looks upstairs and smiles faintly.
[12:12am] Alivi: "W-well then..."
[12:13am] Proto_Lost: Trishka looks up as well, and smiles. "Forgive me, I forgot to introduce Alyana to you." She looks toward the staircase and shouts. "Simon! Bring Alyana down so she can say hello to our guest!"
[12:16am] Proto_Lost: Footsteps thunder down the stairs, and Simon reappears, wearing a white button-down shirt and brown pants, with a small child of about 7 years of age on his shoulder. She's wearing a shirt and pajamas, and her black hair is tied in pigtails.
[12:16am] Proto_Lost: "Hi Erko!" She waves excitedly.
[12:18am] Alivi: Eriko wipes her eyes a bit. She waves. "Hello."
[12:20am] Alivi: She smiles at this.
[12:22am] Proto_Lost: He sets her down and she runs up to Eriko. "Papa told me that you're my sad sister, you can tell since our hair's the same!" She tugs on her pigtails to demonstrate. "See?"
[12:22am] Proto_Lost: Simon is chuckling to himself. "Eriko, meet Alyana, though I think you've already figured out that much."
[12:23am] Alivi: Eriko seems surprised. "Sad sister?"
[12:23am] Alivi: Eriko looks at Simon confused.
[12:25am] Proto_Lost: He scratches his head. "She's been listening in on my conversations with Trishka, and she's pieced it together that you're her sister after hearing bits of your story."
[12:26am] Alivi: Eriko sighs, "I… see..."
[12:27am] Proto_Lost: Alyana gives her a hug. "It's okay sad sis, papa told me a meanie told your mom and dad you were gone, so we'll be your mom and dad from now on!" She looks up at her and smiles.
[12:28am] Alivi: Eriko blinks, "T-thanks b-but…um…"
[12:28am] Alivi: Eriko looks at Trishka and Simon
[12:29am] Proto_Lost: "What is it dear?" says Trishka, a look of concern on her face.
[12:30am] Alivi: "N-nothing…just tired. I….um…" she seems a bit overwhelemed.
[12:31am] Proto_Lost: Alyana keeps hugging her, her eyes closed as she hums a little tuneless ditty.
[12:31am] Alivi: Eriko sighs. She doesn't know how to deal with small children.
[12:31am] Alivi: "[Doushiyo…kana…(what do I do…)]"
[12:31am] Proto_Lost: "It's alright dear, I suppose this was much too fast for you...come along, I'll take you to your room." Trishka  waves her over and starts walking up the stairs.
[12:32am] Proto_Lost: Simon bends down and pulls Alyana off of Eriko. "[Come now child, time to eat your mother's cooking.]" he says with a smile.
[12:32am] Proto_Lost: Alyana makes a face and runs off into the kitchen and into the dining room beyond.
[12:33am] Proto_Lost: "You should go follow my wife kid, her and Yana are the only people who know their way around this house."
[12:34am] Alivi: Eriko nods and follows Trishka.
[12:34am] Alivi: "Sorry..."
[12:35am] Proto_Lost: "It's alright kid, I can tell you're a bit overwhelmed by all this." He says with a bit of a smile. "You go rest, Trish still has to finish cooking."
[12:35am] Alivi: "Ok..."
[12:36am] Proto_Lost: Trishka is already walking into a nearby room once Eriko reaches the second floor
[12:38am] Alivi: Eriko rushes to follow.
[12:40am] Proto_Lost: "Come now dear, this house feels like it stretches on for miles, even Simon gets lost in here." She says with a chuckle.
[12:40am] Alivi:  "I can see why..."
[12:41am] Proto_Lost: They enter the room, and it's seem like it's been recently cleaned. There is a small cot under a window, a small desk with a desk light, and bedside table with a drawer. The blue light of evening paints everything a dull bluish hue.
[12:44am] Proto_Lost: "Sorry Eriko, this was the closest room to the staircase, and I'd rather not have you getting lost in here just trying to find the bathroom...speaking of which, it's the doorway across from your room."
[12:44am] Alivi: "I see… t-thank you…." Where did Simon put her bag?
[12:47am] Proto_Lost: It's under the desk, some clothes can be seen on top of the desk in case Eriko runs out.
[12:48am] Alivi: Eriko is surprised by the clothes, she touches them then opens her bag and digs something out. "U-Um… for the trouble I've caused…" she bows and holds out a small parcel to Trishka.
[12:48am] Proto_Lost: "Your bag is under the desk sweetheart, and I brought out some clo- Oh? What's this?"
[12:48am] Proto_Lost: She takes the small parcel and examines it.
[12:50am] Alivi: "It is a gift from my country…i-if you don't like green tea that is fine… b-but I figured it would be something nice to give..."
[12:50am] Alivi: She rubs her arms nervously.
[12:51am] Proto_Lost: She smiles as she places it in a pocket on her apron, and takes her hand. "Don't worry child, I like tea just fine...and thank you Eriko, for bringing our Simon back to me and Alyana."
[12:52am] Alivi: Eriko seems surprised, "D-didn't he tell you? He was the one who helped me..."
[12:53am] Proto_Lost: "You helped him stay on board your crazy cruise of a job when he desperately wanted to drown, I'd say you helped the three of us see each other again."
[12:55am] Alivi: Eriko bows, "Thank you for your kind words."
[12:56am] Proto_Lost: "No, thank you my daughter, we are proud to have you in our family." She bows back.
[12:57am] Alivi: Eriko seems surprised at her words. "W-what?"
[12:59am] Proto_Lost: "Why are you surprised? We consider you a part of our family as much as Simon does, and he does quite a bit young lady."
[12:59am] Alivi: "T-Thank you…r-really…"
[01:03am] Proto_Lost: "Now you get some rest, we'll be having dinner in a bit, though you could skip that one if you're not hungry, Simon and Alyana find my cooking terrible...I suppose a second opinion can wait." She says cheerily as she steps out.
[01:04am] Alivi: Eriko seems surprised. "Ok…."
[01:04am] Alivi: She sits down on the bed.
[01:08am] Proto_Lost: Soft footsteps tread down the staircase, followed by louder, heavier footsteps. Simon appears at her doorway, looking happy.
[01:09am] Alivi: Eriko looks up.
[01:09am] Alivi: "Oh Hi Otousan."
[01:09am] Proto_Lost: "How're you finding the house so far? Certainly smells its age."
[01:10am] Alivi: "It is…big…" She says with a small nod.
[01:11am] Proto_Lost: "Agreed, this place will have me walking in circles if I tried looking for the bathroom." He says with a laugh.
[01:11am] Proto_Lost: "And our family?"
[01:12am] Alivi: Eriko nods, "I am surprised..."
[01:13am] Alivi: "They all seem so nice..."
[01:15am] Proto_Lost: "Yeah, didn't expect it from a guy who looks like he got into a fight with a burning saw mill right? Substance before appearance and all that I guess."
[01:15am] Alivi: "Hana Yori Dango…" Eriko repeats softly.
[01:16am] Alivi:  "It means a lot to me being able to see you again."
[01:18am] Proto_Lost: "And it means a lot to me that my family is treating you well."
[01:20am] Alivi: Eriko takes a shaky breathe.

[01:21am] Proto_Lost: Simon looks confused. "Moves you?"
[01:21am] Alivi: "…it…" she gestures to her heart, she seems a bit at a loss English wise

[01:29am] Alivi: "S-Sorry…my english..."

[01:32am] Proto_Lost: "Now I'm serious, you get some rest, the Coterrells' take damn good care of our guests, and we haven't had a guest faint in here, and we sure as hell won't have one now."

[01:35am] Alivi: Eriko sighs, "Night Otousan… Tell Trishka I am sorry I will not be joining tonight..."
[01:35am] Proto_Lost: "It's alright, her cooking is terrible anyway. Goodnight my daughter."
[01:35am] Alivi: Eriko waves.
[01:36am] Proto_Lost: He waves back,  closes the door to her room, and heads downstairs.

[11:33am] Proto_Lost: The Coterrell family is eating dinner in the dining room, with Trishka Coterrell trying out a new dish. Having looked up Japanese recipes in her cookbooks, she's managed to make a passable look-alike to Tamago Kake Gohan.
[11:34am] Proto_Lost: The taste, as Simon and Alyana plainly show on their faces, belies just how un-tasty it is.
[11:35am] Proto_Lost: "Oh come now you two, it's bad enough that the poor girl doesn't get to taste my rendition of one of her native dishes, you have to make those faces at it while you're eating it."

[11:36am] Alivi: Eriko lies on the bed looking at the ceiling.
[11:36am] Alivi: She decides maybe she should go downstairs...

[11:36am] Proto_Lost: "I'm sorry Trish, but I think her sleeping it off was the Universe's way of saying she's better off not tasting it." Simon ends that with a loud laugh, Eriko might hear it from her room.
[11:37am] Alivi: Eriko hears laughter. She smiles a bit and closes her eyes. It has been a while since she's heard it.
[11:38am] Proto_Lost: His wife playfully smacks him on the arm, making him go Ow! and rubs the spot where she hit.
[11:41am] Proto_Lost: "Well, I suppose I have to check the recipe again, can't have her thinking that I'm insulting her culture."
[11:43am] Proto_Lost: "Well, I wouldn't go that far my love, maybe she'll just never eat this stuff ever again." Another laugh, and another painful smack in reply. "Ow!"
[11:43am] Alivi: Eriko sighs and sits up she looks at the different clothes laid out. What type are there.
[11:44am] ShockwaveLover: Garbage bag with holes cut out.
[11:44am] Proto_Lost: They're mostly dresses and blouses, they look rather old
[11:46am] Proto_Lost: A few have parts repaired with patches, so some parts have lighter shades of color than the others.
[11:49am] Alivi: Eriko smiles a bit. She changes into one of the dresses figuring it would be nice to show them thanks for being considerate.
[11:50am] Proto_Lost: "Now you shush Simon, it's not like you're a gourmet cook yourself."
[11:52am] Alivi: Eriko sighs.
[11:53am] Alivi: She walks downstairs and is now unsure of where to go.
[11:54am] Proto_Lost: "Alright, I admit I'm a terrible cook, at least I don't force anyone to try and eat what ain't edible."

[9:03pm] Alivi: She sits on the stairs she can vaugely hear people talking but has yet to figure out what direction it is in. She listens for now.
[9:04pm] Proto_Lost: "Hey, I learned my lesson after Yana decided to tell Evan to 'fu- Er, I mean to go away in a rude manner." Simon catches himself in the nick of time before he says another swear word
[9:04pm] Proto_Lost: Trishka shoots him a look, to which Simon replies with a grin.
[9:06pm] Alivi: Eriko smiles at the conversation, she seems to have almost pinpointed it. If it werent for the echos making things difficult.
[9:06pm] Proto_Lost: "We already have a hard time trying to keep Yana from taking after your habits, you best hope I don't catch that sweet girl saying something foul, otherwise I will twist your ear so hard they'll be propellers once I let go."
[9:07pm] Proto_Lost: "Point taken my love."
[9:08pm] Proto_Lost: Trishka suddenly remembers something, something important. "Oh, speaking of that poor sweet girl, I have to tell you something Simon."
[9:09pm] Proto_Lost: Simon relishes any chance he gets to not eat Trishka's cooking, and takes it. "Really? What is it?"
[9:10pm] Alivi: Eriko closes her eyes she thinks it is coming from that way.
[9:16pm] Proto_Lost: She motions to Alyana. "Dearie, mind going ot the other room for abit? Mama and papa have to talke."
[9:16pm] Proto_Lost: Alyana looks at her dish, then back to Trishka, and seems to decide that TV is better than suffering through Mama's newest creation.
[9:17pm] Alivi: Eriko stands up having pinpointed it and slowly makes her way towards the sounds.
[9:25pm] Proto_Lost: She does a little pout at Simon and leaves the room.
[9:26pm] Alivi: Eriko notices light from ahead and walks quietly towards it.
[9:26pm] Proto_Lost: "Why do I get the look when your mom told you to leave?"
[9:27pm] Alivi: Eriko hangs back a bit.
[9:29pm] Proto_Lost: Trishka sighs as she watches Alyana leave, and waits for the tell-tale theme song of ADVENTURE TIME to start up before beginning.
[9:30pm] Alivi: Eriko smiles as she hears the show Simon often watches starts to play, she leans against a wall.
[9:31pm] Proto_Lost: "Simon, I'm worried about Eriko. She's told me that she's done some digging after your job was done, and found out that her parents don't live at their house any more."
[9:31pm] Proto_Lost: "She's heard rumors that they might not be around any more."
[9:31pm] Alivi: Eriko goes to enter into the room but freezes when she hears Trishka speak.
[9:32pm] Proto_Lost: Simon nods. "I...She hasn't told me. I was working under the assumption that they'd still be there. What did she hear exactly?"
[9:33pm] Proto_Lost: "She told me that her mom might have died in the years that passed while you were at that dreadful place." Trishka's tearing up, the sadness plain in her voice. "My God Simon, she's been through so much, she doesn't need this."
[9:34pm] Proto_Lost: "Who did she hear it from?"
[9:35pm] Alivi: Eriko  bites her lip and looks at the ground.
[9:35pm] Proto_Lost: She gathers herself, and musters up as close to an angry voice as she can. "She said she heard from that dreadful fellow you talked about, Cahsooya or whatever his name is."
[9:35pm] Alivi: ~You trouble them way too much~
[9:45pm] Proto_Lost: "And how sure is she that that shitbag isn't lying to her?"
[9:46pm] Proto_Lost: Trishka taps her closed mouth once, and SImon immediately remembers what that means. "Uhh, pardon the french."
[9:49pm] Proto_Lost: "Good. And to answer your question, she went to her parents house, and there was no one there."
[9:49pm] Proto_Lost: Simon gives this some thought. "Hrmm...maybe they're on vacation?"
[9:49pm] Proto_Lost: "And that shi- Err, dreadful fellow saw the perfect chance to fu- mess with Eriko's head?"
[9:50pm] Proto_Lost: ~God this is so hard.~
[9:50pm] Proto_Lost: "You have a point my love...still, we can't ignore the obvious, that poor girl is in need of a family, and we always have room for one more daughter here."
[9:51pm] Alivi: Eriko walks back towards the stairs and goes back to her room. It would probably be best not to bother them.
[9:52pm] Proto_Lost: "I know that my love, don't worry. She's always welcome here, and there'd always be a room ready for our eldest daughter if and when she needs it." Says Trishka with a sad smile. She takes SImon's hand in hers and squeezes.
[9:53pm] Proto_Lost: "You did good my love, but don't think you're off the hook yet. Alyana still says 'shit' every now and then, and it's up to the both of us to fix that...right?"
[9:54pm] Proto_Lost: Simon's looking past her and into the room beyond, where Alyana's watching what seems to be Incendium, his favorite Adventure Time episode. "Uh...what? OH! Yeah, yes...definitely my love."
[9:55pm] Proto_Lost: He turns to her and smiles back. She jokingly shakes her head, and they both leave the table to join Alyana in watching the family's favorite show.
[9:55pm] Proto_Lost: Well, more SImon and Alyana's favorite show, Trishka just enjoys seeing her two kids bond.
[9:57pm] Alivi: Eriko gets out something from her room and goes downstairs again this time intent on finding Alyana.
[9:58pm] Proto_Lost: "Papa! I wanna be the Flame Princess!"
[9:58pm] Proto_Lost: "What? What for?"
[9:58pm] Alivi: Eriko follows the talking.
[9:59pm] Proto_Lost: "Because she's the strongest! She's setting fire to so much shit! It's AWESOME!"
[9:59pm] Proto_Lost: Eriko might probably hear a loud whack after those words, followed by an even louder Ow!
[10:00pm] Alivi: Eriko approches where everyone is. "Is…everything ok?"
[10:00pm] Proto_Lost: "Setting fire to so much /stuff/ Alyana, your father's language isn't something little girls should copy.

[10:05pm] Alivi: Eriko looks, "Ah…."
[10:06pm] Alivi: "Um….. hello…." Eriko says with a small smile.
[10:09pm] Proto_Lost: "Oh goodevening dear, I thought you were going to have a rest." Says Trishka, a hint of concern in her voice.
[10:10pm] Alivi: "I was but I remembered I forgot to um… give Alyana something..."
[10:11pm] Proto_Lost: Alyana turns from her post in front of the TV. "Something for me, sad sis?"
[10:13pm] Alivi: "P-please don't call me that…" Eriko says sighing
[10:13pm] Alivi: She offers a small package to Alyana
[10:15pm] Proto_Lost: Her face lights up and she's off like a bullet towards the package. If Eriko blinked, she might've missed how quickly she nabbed it.
[10:16pm] Alivi: Eriko is surprised.
[10:18pm] Proto_Lost: "I've taken to calling her little Magpie just for those quick hands of hers." Says Simon with a wink to Eriko.
[10:19pm] Alivi: "I can see why…." Eriko says with a smile back.
[10:25pm] Proto_Lost: Alyana excitedly opens up the present, all while the next episode, Burning Low, begins to play.
[10:28pm] Alivi: It is a small stuffed animal bear, made with very soft fabric.
[10:29pm] Proto_Lost: She lets out a high-pitched squeal, and hugs it tightly.
[10:30pm] Alivi: Eriko smiles, "I hope you like him."
[10:31pm] Proto_Lost: "Medved! I call him Medved, and he is mine!" She says happily, never letting go of the bear.
[10:32pm] Alivi: "Medved… seems like a good name."
[10:34pm] Proto_Lost: "It means bear in Russian dearie, Alyana favors simple names." Trishka chuckles afterward, finding this all very endearing.
[10:36pm] Alivi: "Ah in Japanese it is Kuma"
[10:38pm] Proto_Lost: "Kuma?" Alyana holds Medved out at arms length, and suddenly her eyes widen. "I'll call you Medved Kuma instead!"
[10:38pm] Proto_Lost: She hugs it even tighter, now that it's got two names that both mean bear.
[10:39pm] Proto_Lost: "Medved Kuma! Medved Kuma! Medved Kuma!"
[10:41pm] Alivi: Eriko giggles.
[10:41pm] Alivi: "Well then… I am happy you like him."
[10:41pm] Proto_Lost: "Seems our little Magpie likes your gift kid." Simon's watching Alyana go super happy-fun times on the bear, just hugging him like he'd turn into fog if she let go.
[10:42pm] Alivi: "I am glad." Eriko says with a small smile to Simon.

[10:51pm] Proto_Lost: Trishka looks at Eriko. "Are you sure you're not hungry? You haven't had anything to eat since you got here."
[10:52pm] Alivi: Eriko looks at Trishka, "If you don't mind may I eat?"
[10:54pm] Proto_Lost: She smiles and stands, leaving Simon and Alyana to geek out at the newest episode of Adventure Time. Alyana is still hugging the bear as she watches.
[10:54pm] Proto_Lost: "Now come dear, let's leave my two kids to their little show."
[10:55pm] Alivi: "Simon is a child too?" Eriko giggles.
[10:56pm] Proto_Lost: "By the way he acted, you wouldn't think he's pushing 68!" She laughs a bit too, having known Simon the longest.
[10:57pm] Alivi: "It is amazing…he is very old isn't he…" She laughs as well.
[10:59pm] Proto_Lost: "He's very old indeed. He probably wouldn't admit it, but he makes up half of those stories he tells everyone about."
[10:59pm] Alivi: "Really?"
[11:00pm] Proto_Lost: Trishka seems to be having a great deal of fun with this, and has started laughing loudly.
[11:00pm] Proto_Lost: "I did some asking around a few years after we married."
[11:01pm] Alivi: "Oh??? Wow…"
