//Brief description
<Automatic acquisition list> - List of techniques that are gained automatically level reaches the predetermined value.
<Additional acquisition list> - List of techniques that can be obtained by paying a mastery point. Higher ranking versions of the techniques that are acquired in <Automatic acquisition list> are also listed here.
Mastery points - Points obtained by leveling up and quests. Spent to get the techniques in <Additional acquisition list>.

//Acquisition list
<Automatic acquisition list> and <Additional acquisition list> is based on your main class and race at character creation.  The contents of both lists change when you get or change your subclass later on.  The lists also adds Special abilities from quests (and items?).

//-Technique acquisition
Techniques listed in <Automatic acquisition list> and <Additional acquisition list> can be acquired through leveling up or by using mastery points.  When acquired, it becomes < Technique: XXXXXX / Acquisition situation : Comprehension >.

//Technique growth (ranks)
The basics progression is [ Comprehension(Etoku) → Beginner(Shoden) → Intermediate(Chuden) → Hidden(Okuden) → Secret(Hiden) ]

//-Comprehension(Etoku) → Beginner(Shoden)
Improvement only with 1 mastery point is possible.  Enough mastery points are provided to raise all automatic acquisition techniques to Beginner.

//-Beginning(Shoden) → Intermediate(Chuden)
Requires usage of 'Intermediate scroll' in order for it to be registered to <Additional acquisition list>, created by players of high level.  Cost of the scroll is not that high, so it is practical for everyone to get.  Most casual players stop at this level.

//-Intermediate(Chuden) → Hidden(Okuden)
Requires usage of 'Hidden scroll' in order for it to be registered to the list, obtained as rare drops and from quests that are of a high degree of difficulty.  Requires a large amount of mastery points, but the ability of the technique raises up by a large percentage so it is not unusual. Generally speaking, members of small to mid sized guilds will get to this level.  You can buy this from other players, but it is somewhat costly.

//-Hidden(Okuden) → Secret(Hiden)
Can be obtained from quests that involve mainly large-scale battles (raids).  It's not rare for large sized guilds to have these techniques, but it is very rare for smaller guilds.



//Example of technique progression using Assassin's 'Deadly Poison'
'Deadly Poison' is a level 12 Assassin technique.
It is registered in <Automatic acquisition list>.  At the same time, 'Deadly Poison I Beginner' is added to <Additional acquisition list>
The character will automatically learn 'Deadly Poison I' at level 12, because it is in the <Automatic acquisition list>.  On a side note, there is an upgrade for 'Deadly Poison I', it is 'Deadly Poison II' at level 22.
Now then, on the <Additional acquisition list> there exists a 'Deadly Poison I Beginners'.  There is a needs to spend the required amount of mastery point(s) to register this.  Damage of 'Deadly Poison I Beginners' is higher than 'Deadly Poison I'
High level Assassins can write down (describe) their technique on a scroll.  Paper and ink from a Scribe is required for this.  A scroll made in this fashion is called 'Intermediate scroll'.  Using this scroll allows the Assassin to learn the corresponding technique.  'Deadly Poison I Intermediate' is then registered to <Additional acquisition list>.  Again, this is only possible only if you spend the required amount of mastery points.
Some powerful monsters may drop a 'Hidden Scroll', this is a very rare item.  It is also possible to get this from very hard quests.  The abilities of Hidden are even stronger than Intermediate.  In many cases the damage is increased by several dozen % compared to the basic 'Comprehension'.  Using the scroll registers 'Deadly Poison I Hidden' to <Additional acquisition list>.  With this current system, Hidden is the highest most skills go.
'Deadly Poison I Secret' is also added to once the proper scroll is acquired and is registered to <Additional acquisition list>, but it requires a considerable amount of mastery points to learn.  It is impossible make every skill Secret due to this.
