  5. I've been lurking /r/powerlifting for a while, and my friend has been bugging me to post a meet report, so here it is. I've never really posted on reddit before, so sorry for the terrible formatting. This was my 2nd recent meet, my last one was early December. I've been powerlifting since 13, and just recently really started to grind with 5-3-1 to try and get better. This meet is after a cut from 189 lbs -165 lbs over 3 months, and is my first meet at 165 lb BW.

  9. Got my openers and weighed in on MLK day, ate a little more than I normally do during the week leading up. Started the day of the meet tired, because I had to wake up early for an hour+ drive, but I was super pumped once I got there.

  13. My squat is normally my 2nd best, and I PRed at this meet; however, I included two, because I almost killed myself on the 3rd set and didn't want to look like a total idiot.

  23. **Bench**

  25. Definitely my worst bench day ever. I was equipped for this meet, but the shirt I was using didn't fit at all due to the weight cut. Did way too big of a jump, and was over-confident because I had a pretty big lead. Completely missed both my 2nd and 3rd attempted- not a shot.

  33. **Deadlift**

  35. Deadlift is by far my best lift, and I got a 30 lb PR from this meet. I was super wreckless with jumps, because I really wanted to try to see what 600 felt like even if I couldn't do it. I think I definitely could've gotten 575, but I had extreme nerves and just missed it.

  45. This was my only regular season meet, and I now have 3 weeks until regionals. I'm hoping to order a new bench shirt for state, so if anyone has recommendations please let me know, and I'm also looking for advice on form to try to get some small increases before regionals.
