- I live in Dijon. More specifically at Les Grésilles. In this famous neighborhood that is now the front page of the news channels. I have been living in this neighborhood for more than ten years. I know most of the people who live here, through my work, I frequent all the communities in the neighborhood, I personally know ALL the people involved in this story. At least on the "Maghreb" side, not on the Chechen side.
- Summary Objective:
- About ten days ago, a 16 year old Chechen boy was beaten up by guys from Les Grésilles and Quetigny (a town near Dijon) who run a brand new chicha that opened in the town centre, next to the Place de la République. This 16 year old kid got hit by these three guys in their 20s and 30s who run the chicha and who are dealers in their spare time. Guys we all know here. Guys who are always involved in drugs, settling scores and so on, but outside their world of dealing when you see them in everyday life they are polite guys, respectful of elders, to whom you would give your children without hesitation. But then, unfortunately, they're guys who do shit instead of looking for an honest life. They play the big guy, but they're not big fish, I guess you could say.
- Why'd they hit the little Chechen kid? Apparently a little drug shit, but nothing serious, he owed them money, and the chicha guys beat him up, beat him up, threatened him and sent him home. But they bumped into the wrong Chechen. Within a few days he had rounded up all the Chechens from France, Belgium, Germany and so on...
- Friday night:
- At least 150 Chechens arrived. First destination, the chicha of guys. Destroyed of course. Unfortunately, after that, they clearly fucked up. They hit every Arab they came across, even fathers 40 and over who had nothing to do with it. Then they went to Quetigny and Les Grésilles, and the police did absolutely nothing. They were only escorted by the police.
- Some friends of mine who knew nothing about it came out of their house, and there they came across an army of Chechens who were making rounds in Les Grésilles and beating up the few people they came across. Two of my mates were able to flee directly by car, the last one got hit and was able to flee in extremis. You have to understand that the guys were hitting randomly all the people they found. They also smashed up a lot of cars they passed on their way. And there were 40-year-old "Arab" guys walking around who had nothing to do with the world of delinquency.
- Then the Chechens left, and we all thought it was over. But it wasn't.
- Saturday Night:
- The Chechens are coming back. But still no preparation in front of the Gates to wait for them or answer them. Heavy police presence, but no response from them. The cops were really there in spectator mode. Incomprehensible.
- First destination of the Chechens, a pizzeria known to the Grésilles, in a street where I know everybody, and nobody knows why they targeted this particular pizzeria, there was nobody involved in the pizzeria, and I know the managers well. Yet the Chechens went there. A guy from the Grésilles came in with a rifle, along with some other people, they fired into the pile, a piece of buckshot ended up in the back of the guy from the pizzeria, it was a stray bullet. In other words, the innocent manager of the pizza place was shot by a guy who had unfortunately come to defend him... Luckily, he's recovered, he's fine, his prognosis is no longer life-threatening.
- Then there were more shots fired that night, but no more gunshot wounds. Just more guys being beaten with their bare hands by the Chechens. And that night everyone stayed home at Les Grésilles, there was a real fear, nobody really understood that shit.
- Sunday night:
- Last big raid by the Chechens at the Gates. Still no organization between the North Africans of Dijon and its suburbs to come and wait for them. The Chechens hit passing fathers, there were between 100 and 200 of them, armed, and were turning in the Grésilles in search of prey. But everyone stayed home, basically. It was really anarchy. The Chechens went to Les Grésilles, to Chenôve, to Quetigny, and beat up a lot of guys, in Chenôve they even started going into the stairwells.
- The peak of the evening was the guy from Les Grésilles who went crazy after three days of terror and tried to run into them in his car. He got drunk, he heated up by himself, he took his 307, he tried to drive into the
