  1. ((I dunno about you, but I'm pretty irritated by the questions about menstruation. First of all, if anybody's "responsible" for menstruation it would be God. He created human beings, so how would Crowley even remotely responsible for a natural thing the body does?
  2.
  3. Second of all, the people asking these questions are implying menstruation is a horrible, disgusting thing. IT'S NOT. It's a sexist, mostly Western belief
  4. menstruation is a shameful and disgusting thing. In ancient cultures and still in some tribal cultures, menstruation was/is regarded as a pretty fucking special occurrence. It's special because it means a woman is capable of giving life, and life is pretty fucking awesome. The first time a girl menstruates is special too, it means she's maturing into an adult. These views are pretty great and spot-on. I'm not familiar with when and where the negative views came from, but you could always look that up.

  6. Menstruation doesn't have to be an unpleasant thing. The cultural shame and disgust does a lot to make it so. One of the things is that since menstruation is kept private and regarded as a taboo subject, women never learn about how to ease the physical pain naturally and easily. For example, masturbation. It helps to ease the cramps and aches. It can be done in the shower to avoid making a mess. The human body is pretty messy in general, but who gives a fuck. It's natural. There's plenty more natural methods as well. Another part of the unpleasantness of menstruation is the cultural shaming. It makes you feel worse, both physically and psychologically. If you stop caring about what society thinks about menstruation, cramps won't be as bad. However, if you think your cramps are abnormally painful, you should see a gynecologist. Don't be ashamed about going either, you're just going to a doctor. If you have a more positive view on menstruation, it will be much less of a problem. It shouldn't be a problem in the first place.

  8. All of the various products to contain the blood are pretty rad, you can do everything you would normally do. I recommend looking into the less common products, such as menstrual cups, if tampons and pads aren't working for you. Menstrual blood doesn't have to be problematic whatsoever.

  10. You can easily look up all the stuff I said and stuff I didn't.

  12. It's just the uterus shedding its lining, jeez.
