- In another move of the eternal botnet MS wants to install on all PC's. Win 10 is now uploading upgrade files on all PC's on a domain, regardless of if the user or I.T admin wanted to upgrade in the first place.
- Prepare your arse's gentleman, Windows 10 is coming to your domain, whether you want it to not.

- Windows Chock Full Of Spyware Itself!!!
- I am what you call an expert when it comes to windows and I can tell you folks to run with what this guy is saying and take a look at Linux.
- Windows has more code to do with spying than running programs or simply copying files from “A” to “B”
- its so fucked up that people like me have to hack the registry just to stop some of the windows services and thats even with an admin account.
- Windows lies when asked for a list of locked files or processes and its only when you go deep like me that you start to notice that things are not what they seem. Ingrediants are not what they say on the tin.
- Even I cannot delete some hidden files even by running scripts during re-boot due to not having the admin rights from DOS and calling people sys-admin is a joke when microsoft is locking them out all over the place and half the time the tricks of the trade to get around microsoft don’t work.
- FFS the registry contains 400,000 folders nested 12 levels deep and some of these folders contain hundreds of key value pairs and often as an administrator you need to piss around taking ownership of sections of the registry and risk windows not crashing out on you because they don’t like what you are doing and not because you made a mistake apart from trusting them in the first place.
- Most the time windows is so good that you cannot even restore an old copy of the registry and get a PC to boot up.
- Service Host is a process that Microsoft uses to hide what otherwise be called process because they know they look stupid needing so many running processes and many are these hidden processes are started as scheduled tasks that uses GUID instead of program name just to keep most people in the dark about just whats going on.
- Microsofts need to spy and call home is so big that sending Go.Microsoft.com to 127.0.01 won’t work even if you run your own DNS server because Microsoft ignors some blocks in EtcHosts and if the machine is set up to use a proxy servers then microsoft will try going direct with a hard coded IP-Address.
- The only way to be in with a chance is to run your own hardware firewall to block Microsoft and thats after turning IPv6 off so that they cannot tunnel the firewall
- Windows is so full of spyware that beleive it or not they are giving away free upgrades to anyone in China that are running a pirate version of windows a chance to have a legit version of windows ten free of charge because they know its the best tool the CIA/NSA has in its tools box.
- For the average man on the street the only way you can get things to work in windows is to turn all the security off and it has been made that way by design and most of the windows API’s still use COM when every one else has been told by microsoft to move away from COM or DCOM.
- Will stop now but i could write a book and whats gone wrong with windows since Win-95 or XP
- You can download all of the Linux distros you want at these links, ENJOY!!!

- XP HACK BOOK ; REGISTRY
- 7.2.1 The Five Logical Registry Hives
- The Registry has many thousands of settings;
- in fact, it often has tens of thousands of them.
- They are organized into five main Registry
- sections, called Registry hives.
- Think of each hive as a root directory.
- Each of the hives has a different purpose.
- When you start to delve into the Registry,
- you may notice that many of the settings
- seem to be exact duplicates of one another
- in other words, settings in one hive mirror
- the settings in another hive. In fact,
- frequently one set of settings is merely
- an alias (called a symbolic link) of another,
- so that when you change those settings in
- one place, the changes are made in both hives.
- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
- This hive contains information about file
- types, filename extensions, and similar
- information. It instructs XP how to handle
- every different file type and controls basic
- user interface options, such as double-clicking
- and context menus. This hive also includes
- class definitions (hence the word "CLASSES"
- in its name) of unique objects, such as file
- types or OLE objects. Frequently, classes
- associated with file types contain the Shell
- subkey, which defines actions, such as opening
- and printing, that can be taken with that
- file type.
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER
- This hive contains configuration information
- about the system setup of the user that is
- currently logged into XP. It controls the
- current user's Desktop, as well as XP's
- specific appearance and behavior for the
- current user. This hive also manages network
- connections and connections to devices such
- as printers, personal preferences such as
- screen colors, as well as security rights.
- Also included in this hive are Security
- Identifiers (SIDs), which uniquely identify
- users of the PC and which have information
- about each user's rights, settings, and
- preferences.
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- This hive contains information about the
- computer itself, as well as about the operating
- system. It includes specific details about all
- hardware, including keyboard, printer ports,
- storage the entire hardware setup. In addition,
- it has information about security, installed
- software, system startup, drivers, services,
- and the machine's specific XP configuration.
- HKEY_USERS
- This hive contains information about every
- user profile on the system.
- HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG
- This hive contains information about the
- current hardware configuration of the system,
- in the same way that HKEY_CURRENT_USER
- contains information about the current user
- of the system.
- 7.2.2 Using Keys and Values
- Each hive is at the top of the hierarchy,
- and underneath each hive are keys, which
- can in turn contain subkeys, and those
- subkeys can contain subkeys, and so on,
- organized in folder-like fashion, much like
- a hard drive. Keys and subkeys contain a
- value, which controls a particular setting.
- A key can contain one or more values.
- Following are the five primary data types
- of values in the Registry:
- REG_SZ (String value)
- This data type is easy to understand and
- edit because it is made up of plain text
- and numbers. It is one of the most common
- data types in the Registry.
- REG_MULTI_SZ (String array value)
- This data type contains several strings
- of plain text and numbers. The Registry
- Editor will let you edit these values,
- but it won't let you create them.
- REG_EXPAND_SZ (Expanded string value)
- This data type contains variables that
- Windows uses to point to the location of
- files.
- REG_BINARY (Binary values)
- This data type is made up of binary data:
- 0s and 1s.
- REG_DWORD (DWORD values)
- This data type is represented as a number.
- Sometimes a 0 turns on the key or 1 turns
- off the key, though it can use other numbers
- as well. While you see and edit the value
- as a number, the Registry itself views the
- number as a hexadecimal number.

- *Microsoft Analysis Services CLSID*
- Microsoft Analysis Services is part of Microsoft SQL Server, a database
- management system. Microsoft has included a number of services in SQL
- Server related to Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing. These
- services include Integration Services and Analysis Services. Analysis
- Services includes a group of OLAP and Data Mining capabilities.
- A data warehouse is a repository of an organization's electronically
- stored data. Data warehouses are designed to facilitate reporting and
- analysis.
- Advances in data storage, transmission, database management tools and
- computerizing business processes allow for constant technological
- development in data manipulation and analysis. Analysis Services
- provides managers the possibility to explore a cache of collected and
- current data, define business trends and patterns and mine data to make
- discerning business decisions.
- Online analytical processing, or OLAP, is an approach to quickly answer
- multi-dimensional analytical queries. OLAP is part of the broader
- category of business intelligence, which also encompasses relational
- reporting and data mining. The typical applications of OLAP are in
- business reporting for sales, marketing, management reporting, business
- process management (BPM), budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting
- and similar areas. The term OLAP was created as a slight modification of
- the traditional database term OLTP (Online Transaction Processing).
- The Analysis Services OLAP architecture is specifically designed to
- accommodate both attribute and hierarchical analysis while maintaining
- the fast query performance of conventional OLAP databases.

- Due to a recent request for information related to hidden Microsoft vulnerabilities deep inside the registry, I've posted this information ZIPPED above.
- This will give a detailed look into how the Microsoft systems, by default, are spying on user activities. It will also provide a look into default third party services collecting all the info without most people even knowing about it.
- This also includes information about remote hidden services that act as 'backdoors' to hack right into you're system behind you're back.
- This information is exclusive to Windows XP and Vista. This information was gathered years ago through extensive research.

- My vista was severely hacked and they did whatever the fuck they wanted.
- Tell me; is it even safe to have Windows 10 and Linux Mint together on the same computer and just use Linux Mint or do I have to completely purge the Windows cancer?

- You should never use any Windows beyond Vista.
- Even XP has massive vulnerabilities. The information linked above will explicitly detail the threats within the registry of the system. Be careful and read the instructions before you take action, regedit.exe is a dangerous tool.
- If I were you, I'd switch to Linux OS and keep a separate computer with Windows XP or Vista, learn about the system to fortify it. There are ways to reverse engineer older Windows systems to keep them safe from exploitation.
- Windows 8/9/10 bans user access to modify registry through regedit.exe because they learned hackers were using it for nefarious purposes, as well as counter-spying.

- GIMP would be perfered by free-software activists, but if you really do need photoshop for your daily bread, you can run it through Wine if it's supported, depending on your version.
- However, it's probably just easier and better to use GIMP.

- What version of Photoshop do you use? I tried version 7 on Wine a while back and it worked fine. There is also Crossover by Code Weavers which runs things that wine doesn't.
- I have access to every version except CS4 and on.
- If you go with GIMP, here are a few things to make Gimp act more like Photoshop:
- Make Gimp look more like photoshop: http://doctormo.deviantart.com/art/Gimp-2-8-Photoshop-Tweaks-432736644
- Addons to add the missing things Photoshop has, as well as file that replaces Gimp's Keyboard Shortcuts with Photoshop ones: http://lifehacker.com/how-to-make-the-gimp-work-more-like-photoshop-1551318983

- I'll give Microsoft users an even more in-depth solution to COMPLETELY NULLIFY Microsoft from updating you're system without permission.
- This however is dangerous if you do not know what you are doing. So you must follow these very strict instructions. DO NOT attempt to delete anything else, you could fuck up you're system!
- Go to Start / Run / type regedit / Press Enter
- You are accessing the registry editor where you will see five main registry hives.
- I will soon list the EXACT registry configurations that allow Microsoft's Automatic Updates to occur.
- ONE BY ONE, you go to "edit" and press "find" … type either the CLSID of each registry (the identification string) or the name of each registry provided below. Click "find". When it comes up, right click "Permissions" … go to "Advanced" … unclick "Inherit from parent … " Press "Remove" … Press "Apply" … Press OK (twice)
- When you do this, this will completely nullify that attributed registry that you have targeted. It will no longer be systemly functionable.
- Here are the names and CLSID(s) that allow Microsoft's Automatic Updates to occur (here are you're targets):
- Windows Update Agent - Remote Access
- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\{B366DEBE-645B-43A5-B865-DDD82C345492}

- Great question. I only use the 'old-school' Windows XP. because I've learned how to 'game' their old operating systems to my advantage. This is not the only thing I've reversed from the registry hives either. You can learn how to nullify backdoors and default spyware … but you must be careful and KNOW what the hell you are doing. I also have a lot of kick-ass tools that are only available to Windows XP. That's one reason I'll always have an XP. I first used '95 (and then Windows 2000) when I got a computer 15+ years ago.
- I also use Xubuntu which is a kick-ass linux OS. I love linux! I've even mirrored OS archives @ /killcen/ (check the very first post on page 7).

- My option now is to just run an older version of Windows (95/98 or 2000) in a VM, and prevent it from accessing the internet ever so it can't call home and can any "patches".
- The reason for this is because older versions didn't know VM software existed, so they can't "break out" of the VM and do anything since older versions probably aren't aware of things like VirtualBox. I'd imagine there is an "Update" that fixes this oversight.
- I wouldn't trust anything past 2000, that was the last one without WGA.
- >>108666
- I can see Ubuntu being a botnet, but please provide some proof of these claims.
- What I should be recommending to those newbies is distros aimed at Noobies. You had to learn to stand before you could walk, and walk before you could run. Why on earth would I tell them to use a distro that is no where near noob friendly? They need to be able to learn their distro, then move on to something harder when they feel they are ready.
- SystemD is not an important issue to new users. Yeah I hate it too, and I think it's trash myself and wish they didn't have to use it, but new users don't need to get caught up in that from the start. I've also noted that some applications that make going to Linux easier unfortunately require SystemD. Worse, a few require PulseAudio, and we all know the nightmare that PulseAudio is.
- We need people to make the switch and take steps in the right direction, otherwise they'll drown in the shear amount of crap that it takes to use Linux.
- So no, I won't be recommending Debian/Devuan to newbies. Though I would recommend to people looking for a harder distro to try out Debian, Arch, or Slackware.

- If you want to keep Windows I would say, shrink your Windows partition and then install Linux Mint. It's easier to setup that way since Installing Windows after tends to screw up your boot loader.
- Yes you can avoid mostly any other virus/malware, but don't think that just because you use Linux that makes you immune to Viruses/Malware. People like to spread around that Linux does not get viruses, but they are 100% wrong.
- Most people will disagree with this statement, but you should run AntiVirus software simply because Viruses have been made for Linux in the past, and they will in the future, and I personally suggest you take all precautions to keep you safe. I'd also recommend learning how to use a Firewall while on Linux too.

- i don't own this computer but i do care a lot about it and its real owner is a huge retard who sucks microcuck's dick any day when it comes to new OS, when i heard microshit was giving a free "upgrade" to windows 10 to w7 users i immediately looked for a guide on how to remove the tray icon that lets you DL the update and how to prevent it from appearing again, the second step involved going to regedit and adding a value named "disable gwx".
- so my question is, i did this and i want to keep windows 7 as it is, was that enough? is there something else i can do to stay in windows 7?

- Like if I'm on linux, can I just switch to Windows without shutting down linux and vice versa?
- For example, I'm encoding a blu-ray file on linux that takes 6 hours, and I want to play a windows game while it's processing. Obviously shutting down my computer just to play the game would defeat the purpose(and feels really inconvenient)
- Using a VM would be clearly superior, which is why I'm confused as to why anyone would need to dual boot.(Unless they're one of those people that plays games like once a month or something)

- Depends on the guest. If Linux is the guest, then there's no reason why it should be using more than 1GB of memory. Ideally you'd keep all online activities on the guest. The most resource-extensive task I can even think of would be torrenting or downloading.
- Everything else would be done on Windows. Considering they still want Windows for playing games, then it's safe to assume they have a good setup.(8GB+ ram and a modern GPU/CPU)

- New 3G Intel Chip Grants Backdoor PC Access
- Intel Core vPro processors contain a secret 3G chip that allows remote disabling and backdoor access to any computer even when it is turned off.
- “Core vPro processors contain a second physical processor embedded within the main processor which has it’s own operating system embedded on the chip itself,” writes Jim Stone. “As long as the power supply is available and in working condition, it can be woken up by the Core vPro processor, which runs on thsystem’s phantom power and is able to quietly turn individual hardware components on and access anything on them.”

- Much more sophisticated than that, and much more cunning.
- As revealed here: >>110217 Microsoft has third-party spyware installed deep inside the system by default. By *default. This has been going on for the last 15+ years now. It is beyond Microsoft in general, and also includes undisclosed business deals with Google, Yahoo among other third parties. They are all working together to siphon as much user data as possible. This is very lucrative for them, and you can guarantee much of the SIGINT gathered from intelligence communities is due to this very factor.
- My suggestion: do abandon new Windows systems altogether. With the proper information, that has been posted above, you can reverse this (one by one) manually within the older systems - IF you follow the instructions. Use Linux as an alternative for now. Microsoft should only be used for video games.

- >Durr u need an antivirus on Linux because Linux gets viruses too!!!!
- That's wrong you fucking imbecile. AV is useless. On Windows machines it's worse than any malware that it's likely to catch, and will completely miss anything really nasty. You're paying for someone to thrash your disk on a nightly basis and waste your system resources every single day, in exchange for the mere feeling that you're somehow safer. I bet you love it when the TSA gropes your nuts, makes you feel so safe.
- People don't use AV on Linux because it's a waste of time. The NX bit used by default while creating files, the fact that nearly every executable on the system is owned by root, the fact that novice users only use software downloaded from verified and audited repositories means that viruses are a non-issue on Linux machines.
- Trojans are still a thing because humans are fallible, but any 14 year old can brew up a trojan that will pass an AV scan so AV doesn't help with that either. It's literally as easy as downloading a RAT, downloading a packer and sending the file to the unsuspecting idiot who scans it and runs it because it's "safe". If you use your head instead of AV you're fine.
- Things that involve exploits aren't really helped by running an AV, even with "active protection", especially since the active protection module of nearly every AV has been used at some point to compromise machines.

- Switching to a linux-based (since Linux is merely a kernel) OS entails sacrifice. Gnu applications are, in many instances, underdeveloped, although they still work quite well enough. Think of putting more effort in for the same functionality you currently enjoy with corporate spyware. This helps you develop proficiency, but also causes you to lose the hair on your head and sprout it out of your nose instead. And it gets worse: Those who are telling you not to use Ubuntu and Mint, if the point is to stop being spied upon, are quite within their right minds. You need not only to use distros like Trisquel, Parabola, and Gnusense, or learn to buid "linux from scratch" with LFS, to avoid being tracked, but to obtain hardware whose bios can be swapped out for coreboot. Any compromise and you're back in the enemy's clutches and may as well use M$.
- Simple, really. Using software entails a political choice, and a sacrifice in convenience will go a long way toward having control over your system and your privacy.
