- *(Foreword: OMG! My passwords have been changed AGAIN so I used an even STRONGER one. Instead of a string of all numbers, I made a MIXED string of letters & numbers! I think a reddit admin or shadowbanbot adapted to my evasion tactics by programming a regex-based hunter-seeker algorithm. Thanks to that, I'm removing roman numerals for now, and putting dashes in my name.)*

- Now, to answer your question CoJoCo:
- **FIRST SITUATION:**
- I posted to /r/help on /u/egaonogenki long ago on May 29, 2013 [asking why my comment karma wasn't improving even though I used an alt to upvote them.](https://pay.reddit.com/r/help/comments/1f98yu/how_come_my_comment_karma_is_still_14_even_though/) I was so naive in those days and didn't think to use TOR either.
- That amounted to admitting a crime to a cop, looking back in hindsight.
- ---
- **SECOND SITUATION**:
- Later, after having other "EgaoNoGenki" accounts with roman numerals, I decided to fool around with /r/TodayILearned one day. I thought if I couldn't get "critical mass" (upvoted to its "hotpage") the first time, I could resubmit and hope I could the next. And the next, and the next. I thought that was like making several attempts on an archery target hoping one of the arrows would hit the bulls-eye.
- But that annoyed /u/LanIsMyCousin and other TIL mods. They banned me, but I came back under another "egaonogenki" with higher roman numerals.
- Not only did they decide to ban ALL occurrences of "EgaoNoGenki" with all the roman numerals that existed of it up 'til that time, they decided to make a report (that I still haven't found through a search) to Reddit Admins to get me shadowbanned.
- That was an IP-soft-ban, too. That's when I learned of IP-soft-bans the first time because I made another account, but it showed me a 404 page as soon as I logged off on my overview page.
- This was in January 2014, before I started using Reddit through TOR. I got around it by making new usernames through another IP (during classes) and when I logged back in under my new nick at home, I found that I was able to use it!
- ---
- **THIRD SITUATION:**
- There were some disagreements between /u/Skuld and I about my being on /r/AskUK. I posted something that normally wouldn't faze other admins (about Savile not having fought in the front lines instead, that Jerry killing him would've done many kids a favor; that topic has since been deleted.) Also, bringing the issue to /r/KarmaCourt since he didn't respond to queries about why I got banned, made him say that he lost all sympathy to get me unbanned.
- I waited a month, and saw that he went inactive for nearly a month. I asked /r/AskUK mods again if they can unban me, now that Skuld appears to be gone. Skuld responded to me again (surprisingly enough) with the words,
- > Patronizing dickery always wins me over.
- I then promised him that I'd come back to /r/AskUK under some alt throwaways if he wouldn't give me a second chance. I didn't get a response but a day or two later, I found /u/EgaoNoGenki-XX shadowbanned. I figured Skuld had to have had a hand in it.
- I made /u/EgaoNoGenki-XXI elsewhere, brought it back here, which did fine for a little while, then that too got banned.
- Then I made new usernames under new IPs, and brought them back to my usual IPs, that's when I found out what "ip-hard-bans" were. The usernames were on good standing before, but got insta-shadowb& as soon as I logged onto them on my usual IP.
- That's when I asked /r/Shadowban to [proxy-post to /r/TOR to help me get back on Reddit through TOR.](https://pay.reddit.com/r/ShadowBan/comments/26yb5h/ppp_to_rtor_while_tor_allows_me_to_register_a_new/) It worked wonderfully since then; they helped pretty good!
- ---
- **FOURTH SITUATION:**
- I got a new modem a few weeks ago and used Incognito Mode to log onto Reddit. That worked well for awhile, under /u/EgaoNoGenki-XXIV.
- I had used /u/EgaoNoGenki-XXIII for sometime on TOR but felt using TOR seemed a tad inconvenient by then since I had a new IP by now. That's why I decided to clear all cookies with the search string "reddit" first before I logged 23 onto Reddit through my normal, cookie-recording browser.
- I had a fine time last night with 23, but this afternoon, I discovered that I had not logged in anymore. A super-shadowban that I hadn't seen before befelled 23 & 24 because most likely Reddit also hides cookies under names that don't include the string "reddit." I couldn't log back in with my usual password. That's how I knew there was a more severe form of shadowban with usernames.
- That's why next time I get a fresh IP, I will clear ALL cookies, not just the ones with "reddit" as a searchable string.
- Until then, I'm back redditing on TOR full-time.
- I also figured out that someone must've programmed a RegEx hunter-seeker subroutine to disable the passwords of any username with "egaonogenki" occurring on it, even when they're on fresh IPs, so I had to resort to dashes within my name.
- ---
- I hope that answers you!
- I just want to start fresh, period. I need not get chased like an INTERPOL fugitive all across the site!
