  5. Hey guys!Great shows! I started listening a few months ago and love the shows. Finally, someone to talk nerd with. :-)
  6.
  7. Just wanted to provide some insight on the part of Coder Radio about how the Redhat employees felt let down as they didn't find out until after the announcement was made.

  9. So I work at Intel and this happens all the time. Since IBM and Redhat are a public company on the stock market, they aren't allowed to say anything or warn their employees. You can imagine the insider trading and media leaks that would be possible if everyone was informed ahead of time.

  11. Intel is the first public company I've worked at, so I also always felt let down when Intel makes a big announcement like the hardware bugs found this year, or our CEO getting "fired" out of no where. And product announcements that come out of nowhere, etc etc. I think that's just life at a public company unfortunately.

  13. One thing to think of, didn't Redhat recently denounce btrfs? And then Facebook open sources some of their code which includes btrfs which they clearly using and think it's a great filesystem?

  15. I wonder if that was IBMs doing and I'd bet both companies agreed were in talks at that point. I dunno, just a theory. :-)

  17. Later guys!
