— BACKGROUND: Before the age of 5, she had the perfect life, a kind, loving family, a big house and enough wealth to live every comfortable life. However, when she turned 5, her mother suddenly passed away, leaving the family devastated. For her sake, the father quickly remarried a single divorced Korean woman who already had a son. At this time, Leah was 6 and her brother was 11.
Her new step-mother acted very sweet and kind towards Leah when her father was around, but her attitude turned apathetic and even verbally abusive as soon as he turned his back, and her new step-brother showed himself to be a charming, compassionate boy but as hypocrisy ran in the family, he too completely changed in Leah's father's absence and he treated her like a slave, often making weird, perverted requests that perplexed her, but due to her young and innocent mind, she didn't notice their strange behavior, that is until she grew older and more sensible, and as things slowly got out of hand. When she was in her teens, Taeyong's intentions became clear to her and she became extremely uncomfortable and avoided him, turning to her step-mother for help, but to no avail. And when she complained to her father, her step-mother would twist the stories up so he wouldn't believe his own daughter.
She felt so lonely and distressed as there was no one by her side to support her and dearly missed her mother and their previous way of life, but sadly and inevitably, whats gone is gone.
Things went too far when Taeyong attempted to rape her, that was when she finally found the courage to actually fight back and managed to leave a prominent scar on his face. Terrified of what her brother would do next, she made a run for it and locked herself in her room. Surprisingly, luck was on her side as before taeyong could break her door down, he received a call from David, saying that it was time to leave for their business trip. Before leaving, he left her with a threat that made her skin crawl, "When I return, I'll give you a reason to fear me...Till then princess...". It had been two months since she had last seen the two males of her family and she felt at ease as dealing with her step-mother was the least of her problems. She didn't have a seat or anything to hold and prayed for her life as the bus driver recklessly drove the bus through the city. As he harshly turned a corner, the poor girl could no longer keep her balance and fell backwards. She let out a scream and shut her eyes tightly, waiting for the impact but instead felt someone grab her waist n pull her on to their lap. When she opened her eyes, she saw a handsome ass guy stare at her with concern in his eyes, his look morphing from concern to realization, as if he'd seen her before and then finally settling to a smirk. "Well sweetheart, I could say that you have...fallen for me". And literally the whole bus began hooting. He was quite handsome and that alone caused her cheeks to turn to a faint shade of red but as soon as those words left his mouth, she felt all the blood from her body rush to her face as an expression of shock overtook her delicate features and she immediately tried to escape his grip but he only held on tighter as his attractive smirk deepened.

— FIRST IMPRESSION ON HIM: He thought that she was a true beauty and was highly amused at her reaction, she was so flustered and uncomfortable. He had recognized her from the picture and thought that this would be quite an entertaining experience. Plus something about her just made him want to keep her in his arms.
