  1. It was the end another Literature Club meeting. Monika was giving everybody her usual spiel about going home and doing whatever task she had assigned for everyone. Anon and Sayori left to go walk home together as usual, and Monika planned to stay behind for a bit and prepare for their big club project tomorrow.
  2.
  3. Yuri and Natsuki had plans, though. Ever since Anon had joined the club, they had started going to the library together every week to look for books for the both of them to borrow.
  4.
  5. Natsuki would pick out a new manga for Yuri to read, and Yuri would usually choose one of her dark fantasy novels for Natsuki to try and digest.
  6.
  7. Natsuki had packed up her things and walked over to Yuri, ready to head off.
  8.
  9. "Hey Yuri, wanna go to the library now?" Natsuki asked. "I finished the book you gave me, it was a pretty cool read! It was a little depressing though... could you pick out a book where everyone is alive at the end next?"
  10.
  11. Natsuki looked a little more downcast after that last part, but quickly brightened up again.
  12.
  13. Yuri wasn't paying Natsuki much mind at all though, and seemed to be absorbed in packing up her own things. Only, Natsuki noticed she was moving a lot slower than usual.
  14.
  15. She tried to get Yuri's attention. "Yuri..?" No response. "Hey, Yuri? Yuri!" Still nothing.
  16.
  17. Natsuki was getting a little weirded out now, and a little frustrated on account of thinking Yuri was ignoring her.
  18.
  19. Natsuki slammed her hand down on Yuri's desk. "Yuri!!"
  20.
  21. Finally, Yuri perked her head up and turned to face Natsuki. "Oh! Natsuki, I-I'm sorry... were you calling my name just now?"
  22.
  23. Natsuki furrowed her brows at her. "Uhh, yea? You didn't just hear me now? I said your name, like, 50 times."
  24.
  25. Yuri blushed a little out of embarrassment. "Oh, I'm sorry Natsuki! I really am! I just... was a little distracted is all. I've had a pretty bad, uh... headache today."
  26.
  27. Natsuki decided to not press Yuri any further on the subject and get back to what she came over for. "Yeah, well, I was asking if you were ready to go to the library now. We had to pick out new things to read for each other, remember?"
  28.
  29. "Y-yeah, I remember!" Yuri said.
  30.
  31. Yuri had completely forgotten.
  32.
  33. Natsuki wasn't totally convinced. "You sure? We can call it off for now and pick back up on this tomorrow if you want."
  34.
  35. Yuri held out one of her hands in a reassuring manner. "N-No I still can go! I'd feel even worse if I didn't! Hehe..!"
  36.
  37. "Mmm, if you say so." Natsuki was satisfied with Yuri's answer for now.
  38.
  39. *growl*
  40.
  41. A strange noise had just come from Natsuki. They both seemed to notice.
  42.
  43. Yuri spoke up. "Natsuki was that..?"
  44.
  45. Natsuki immediately tried to deny whatever Yuri was about to say. "Wh-What? No that wasn't me! Heh, I have no idea which- what are you even talking about? What rumble?"
  46.
  47. Natsuki was a terrible liar when she was flustered.
  48.
  49. Yuri looked concerned for her friend. "Natsuki, have you eaten today? I know that sometimes you..." She didn't want to finish her thought. "We can go get something to eat before we go to the library if you want..."
  50.
  51. Natsuki just put her bag on her back and got ready to leave the classroom. "No... no it's fine I'll just see you at the library I guess." She knew that Yuri cared, but she'd never talk about her personal problems with her yet.
  52.
  53. Yuri just looked on as Natsuki continued to walk towards the door. "O-Okay... see you there, Natsuki..."
  54.
  55. ...
  56.
  57. ...
  58.
  59. It was about the time for Natsuki and Yuri to meet at the Library. Yuri would usually arrive first and wait for Natsuki outside.
  60.
  61. Natsuki had just arrived, albeit a little later than usual. She had spent some extra time looking at the local shops and all their food, but she knew she didn't have the money to buy any of it.
  62.
  63. Things hadn't been the best at home for her as of late, and she was starting to feel the effects now as she waited outside for Yuri. She hadn't had breakfast or lunch today, and her stomach only started growling more as the day went on. Speaking of which...
  64.
  65. "Where the Hell is she?" Natsuki had been waiting for Yuri outside the library for at least 10 minutes now. It wasn't like her to be this late, or late at all! That was Natsuki's thing.
  66.
  67. "Ugh," she said to herself. "I can't wait here all day..."
  68.
  69. Natsuki was starting to become a little doubtful that Yuri was actually going to show up. She said she would, but she wouldn't blame her if she didn't with her supposed headache. Still, she had been looking forward to this all day, even if she wouldn't tell Yuri that.
  70.
  71. Natsuki checked her little Parfait Girls watch again. It was out of batteries.
  72.
  73. "Damnit... This fucking day..." Natsuki was quickly losing her temper. "Screw this, I'm going inside. If she's not there..."
  74.
  75. Natsuki proceeded to make her way up the stone steps and into the local school library. It was a large and old stone building, but it did a good enough job being a library in her eyes. At least they carried some manga, as opposed to some others she'd been to.
  76.
  77. Natsuki pushed her way past the front and checked in with the front desk. She looked around, but it was usually empty after school hours.
  78.
  79. She took her library card back from the librarian. "Thank you, ma'am."
  80.
  81. Before moving on, Natsuki stopped herself and turned back to the librarian. "Oh you wouldn't have happened to see a friend of mine in here, have you? Tall, purple hair, uh, maybe carrying issue no.7 of... Parfait Girls?"
  82.
  83. The librarian smiled. "Oh, you mean Yuri? Yea, she's here somewhere in the back." She pointed off to a far, empty corner of the library.
  84.
  85. Natsuki felt a little relieved. "Oh, thank you for telling me."
  86.
  87. As she started walking towards the pointed location, Natsuki thought to herself. "Still though, why wouldn't Yuri be outside? She always waited for me."
  88.
  89. When she started getting closer to her destination, Natsuki heard a noise somewhere up ahead.
  90.
  91. "Nnnff..."
  92.
  93. What the..? Was someone else here?
  94.
  95. "Haaah..."
  96.
  97. ...And why were they making such weird noises? Natsuki was walking more slowly now, trying to go unnoticed by whoever was up ahead.
  98.
  99. Another noise, like the sound of someone breathing in sharply through their teeth.
  100.
  101. As Natsuki passed through the towering halls of library books, she was nearly to where the front desk lady said Yuri was. She turned another corner.
  102.
  103. "Yuri?"
  104.
  105. "Eep!" Yuri was sitting hunched over in a bean bag facing the wall, doing something that Natsuki couldn't see from where she was standing.
  106.
  107. Curious as to what might've been enough to startle her friend, she got closer. "Hey Yuri, what are you-"
  108.
  109. "No Natsuki stay there please! Just-"
  110.
  111. As Natsuki walked closer, she could start to see more of what was happening. Yuri was frantically trying to button up her undershirt and blazer, but was having difficulties because her...
  112.
  113. Natsuki went red in the face. "Yuri, what the HELL are you doing with your boobs out?!"
  114.
  115. Natsuki was trying to keep her voice down, partly because she didn't want a possible person nearby to hear her, and also because this was a library, but she had just seen something outrageous.
  116.
  117. Yuri also tried to keep her voice down, but was panicking in her seat, trying to conceal her exposed breasts. All she could manage to do was hunch over further while trying as hard as she could to close her shirts over her chest. "Shhh! Shhhhh Natsuki please don't say anything please!"
  118.
  119. Natsuki quickly ran around, looking down the bookshelves to make sure nobody was nearby. She turned to Yuri again, voice still lowered.
  120.
  121. "Yuri what are you doing?! Why would you take your boobs out in a library?" Natsuki paused for a second after her second question.
  122. "And why weren't you waiting outside for me?"
  123.
  124. Yuri was still panicking in her seat, curled up into a ball. Her voice was barely audible, speaking from behind her knees and buried a little in her own chest. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Please don't say anything stop talking! I just- I just really needed to release some pressure! It's been killing me all day! I-"
  125.
  126. Yuri stopped herself dead in her tracks. She had gotten so carried away in her panicked state that she had said a lot more than she intended.
  127.
  128. Natsuki looked a little weirded out, but her face was flushed red. "W-what do you mean 'release some pressure'? What does that even mean?"
  129.
  130. Yuri finally pulled her face out of her knees/breasts and turned to look at Yuri from behind her bag chair. "... Please Natsuki, I need you to promise to not tell anybody about what you just saw or heard! I'll tell you everything just don't tell anybody else, please!"
  131.
  132. Natsuki calmed herself down a little and set her bag down on a nearby wall, then sat down against the back of Yuri's chair. "Fine, fine! Just... tell me what's going on. Does it have to do with your headache earlier?"
  133.
  134. Yuri lowered her eyes and looked at the ground while trying to think of how to explain things. "Well... I..." She took a deep breath.
  135.
  136. "Natsuki, I didn't have a headache earlier. I... lied to you about that... I'm sorry."
  137.
  138. Natsuki didn't look particularly surprised, but Yuri couldn't see that from where she was sitting. She didn't really believe the headache thing, she just figured that Yuri might be trying to get out of going to the library with her or something.
  139.
  140. Regardless, she spoke up. "It's okay, I forgive you I guess. What's going on with you then? You seemed really out of it earlier. And now you're here, uh... doing something..."
  141.
  142. Yuri wasn't sure how to answer this question. She said she'd tell her but she felt like she had to handle this a little more tactfully after their explosive encounter.
  143.
  144. "A-Ah, well you see... I..." Yuri shuffled her feet and twiddled her fingers while trying to get the words to come out of her mouth. "I've had ah, this... thing going on lately and I, uh..."
  145.
  146. Natsuki wasn't quite sure where Yuri was going was this, and neither did Yuri.
  147.
  148. Yuri let out a deep sigh. "Natsuki..?"
  149.
  150. Natsuki answered back. "Yeah, Yuri?"
  151.
  152. Yuri was speaking a lot more quietly now. "Can... can you come here for a moment?"
  153.
  154. Both of their faces began to blush, unbeknownst to either of them. Natsuki, from her side of the bean bag, was in a staring contest with the floor to try and distract herself from what was going on right now.
  155.
  156. She blinked, and finally responded. "What? I'm already here... you can just-"
  157.
  158. "No-" Yuri interrupted. "I meant come here... in front of me... please."
  159.
  160. Natsuki was only getting more flustered the more Yuri tried to explain things. Didn't she come here to just pick out a new book with Yuri? Now she was-
  161.
  162. "Please, Natsuki! I need your judgement on... something."
  163.
  164. "Okay! Fine, just gimme a second." Even though she thought it'd be impossible, Natsuki felt like things were starting to take a weird turn. But she said she'd listen.
  165.
  166. Natsuki closed her eyes and stood up, then walked to a spot she's pretty sure is in front of Yuri. From Yuri's perspective, Natsuki had just walked up and sat down in front of her to face a wall.
