So a lot of you are probably familiar with /u/yourlycantbsrs AKA /u/italkshitbutimright AKA /u/unwordableweirdness AKA "that weird vegan dude" already. He's the guy that uses google to find any mention of vegans on reddit and then jumps in to the conversation with alts to argue for veganism from a philosophical perspective. He also used to hang out with the enablers in the bad philosophy crowd so you might be familiar with him from that subreddit. He was always kind of an asshole and there have been dozens of threads on SRD about him but it's turned into something a lot more serious so I wanted to warn other mods. I'm not going to go into the details too much, there's too much personal information involved, but here's the rundown of what happened and you can pm me or the involved parties if you want more information.

 1. He doxxed several mods by finding a local facebook meetup group that they were part of.

 2. He starts sending threatening pms telling the mods that he's going to find them at the meetup. At this point he probably doesn't have their real facebook information he's just bluffing because he knows they're part of a certain facebook group. For some context, that message was out of the blue. It was the equivalent of a "I know where you live" type message there wasn't previous discussion about a meetup. At this time he was also threatening people on IRC with doxx and sending messages to other people but redacting personal information is a pain so I'm not going to post any of the other discussions.

 3. No one takes him very seriously. Everyone he messaged responded along the lines of "haha go ahead" because it's usually best not to feed the trolls.

 4. He actually shows up at a bar where one of the mods is and seeks him out. He ended up talking to the mod for a while and creeped the mod out so much that he had to be escorted to his car by one of the bartenders because he was worried that he was going to get hurt.

 5. He's been contacting other unrelated people on facebook (the group admins) and general other craziness that we don't have go in to.

You can do what you want with this information but my suggestion is to ignore him as much as possible and don't engage him at all. He gets in massive arguments with users on a daily basis and I'm worried that this shit is going to escalate with someone else. I'd recommend shadowbanning him with automod or failing that removing all comments from people that reply to him to protect your users.
