- Thomas was Alone (PC, PS3, VITA)
- Story and Characters (4/5)
- it's a game about a group of quadrilaterals.
- the developer did something really interesting here.
- he managed to give simple quadrilateral more character then the protagonists of Dragon Age, Assassin's Creed or most other recent Triple A games.
- for example you have Thomas. a rectangle, he is a good jumper. but he was lonely. at least till he meet Chris. a square. Chris is a "fine" jumper. but Chris gets a serious inferiority complex because he compares itself to Thomas, and ends up hating him.
- there are dozen of colorful characters.. cross that.. dozen of colorful quadrilaterals (pun intended) each with unique personality and character development.
- Gameplay (4/5)
- very clever puzzle platformer.
- Length and Replayability (0.5/2)
- 9 chapters with 10 stages each. in average each stage will take you 2-3 minutes.
- there are hidden .. square thingies.. you can collect for achievements.. but you probably won't.
- Graphic (0/1)
- minimal. what did you expect from a game about quadrilaterals?
- Sound and Voice Acting (5/5)
- great! just a step or two behind bastion. (i.e. the best VA ever seen in gaming)
- Final Score (7/10)
- if you like puzzle platformer this is the game for you.
- otherwise? you might still want to check it to see how they managed to turn a simple rectangle into "Thomas".
