My first finding says that the households in Singapore have consumed about 17 percent of electricity over the past decade, mostly due to the use of air-conditioners and water heaters. It also says that the individuals in about four-in-five households would cut down on their electricity consumption only if it does not inconvenience them as they value their personal comfort over the negative effects high electricity consumption has on the environment.
