Nuclear waste and carlessness of man mutate a gilled creature in the Tokyo Bay. With social media capturing the footage, the emergency cabinet meets to find out what the creature is and if it will be a threat, but only to say that the creature is so massive it's weight would crush it if it came on land. They are proven wrong as the creature comes on land scaring the people of Tokyo and knocking over buildings. The cabinet sends a defence force to eliminate the monster but it evolves and starts overheating with radiation. This causes the monster to run back to the bay, leaving a risk of returning to the cabinet. Later it comes back in its next form and is now taller and indestructable. The cabinet gives it the name "Godzilla".
An unknown accident occurs in Tokyo Bay's Aqua Line, which causes an emergency cabinet to assemble. All of the sudden, a giant creature immediately appears, destroying town after town with its landing reaching the capital. This mysterious giant monster is named "Godzilla".
Do you really want a disaster movie that spends more time showing people in meetings and explaining what hallway they&#39;re in then actually showing the monster that is in the title? <br/><br/>Do you want the names of characters talking to be up on the screen explaining who the person is only for that person to disappear after just a few lines?<br/><br/>Did you enjoy how The Phantom Menace spent so much time on Trade Embargoes?<br/><br/>Do you like how the Transformers movie spend more time on the humans then on the Transformers?<br/><br/>If you said yes, then this is the movie for you.
Terrible movie, please don&#39;t waste your money on this movie. - Terrible story line, the movie has 100 minutes of people talking (terrible scripts) and about 10 minutes of Godzilla action - Terrible camera work, weird camera angle - So many redundant scenes that do not tell any of the story - Terrible visual effects, I actually laughed when the Godzilla first appeared. It looked like a crappy visual work, reminded me of how monsters movie look like 15 years ago with limited visual effects. Then I kept laughing at the visual effects throughout the movie. Can&#39;t be worse. I watched and like the Godzilla (2014) and this one (2016) is massively worse!
So, yes, Shin Godzilla is dialogue-heavy, and sometimes it fails to make much sense. And after that knockout battle scene in the middle of the film, the end conflict is a little anticlimactic, especially for Western audiences used to a lone hero sacrificing themselves to save the day instead of the successful execution of a coordinated team effort.
