  53. \section{About me}
  54. I was born on 19 September of 1991 in Verona. Given that from the earliest age I have always find myself interested in Science I joined scientific gymnasium at the age of fourteen. Among the subjects in which I succeeded Mathematics was the one which absorbed most of my curiosity. That led me to the choice of Bachelor studies in Mathematics. In achieving graduation I have shown myself to be self-motivated, committed and determined in achieving my goals. I have also demonstrated organising skills, a firm sense of responsibility and my capacity to work hard under pressure, independently or as part of a team.

  58. {The courses offered by this bachelor's are characterized by the emphasis both in the economical-financial and in the modellistic-numerical field.
  59. The exams I sustained can be grouped in the following categories:
  60. \begin{itemize}
  61. \item \emph{Mathematics}: Real and Complex Univariate and Multivariate Analysis, Geometry, Linear Algebra, Algebra, Numerical Methods for Differential Equations, Introduction to Java.
  62. \item \emph{Physics}: Dynamics and Termodynamics, Magnetism and Electromagnetism, Numerical Fluid Dynamics.
  63. \item \emph{Economical}: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometry, Statistics, Discrete Optimization.
  64. \item \emph{Financial}: Probability, Theory of Stochastic Processes, Financial Mathematics.

  69. \cventry{2014--Present}{Master Degree}{Universita degli Studi di Verona}{Mathematics}{}{The program has a strong international flavour, with many classes held by international visiting faculty. It offers courses in pure and applied mathematics, with a special attention to financial mathematics and applications of mathematics in other sciences. The approach is interdisciplinary and involves researchers from physics, computer science, life and health science, economics.
  70. The exams I sustained can be grouped in the following categories:
  71. \begin{itemize}
  72. \item \emph{Pure Mathematics}: Functional Analysis, Advanced Functional Analysis, Non Linear Functional Analysis, Theory of Extremal Problems, Differential Geometry.
  73. \item \emph{Applied Mathematics}: Advanced Numerical Analysis, Optimal Control, Nonlinear System Theory and Chronological Calculus, Partial Differential Equations, Methods for Applied Mathematics, Scientific Computing.
  74. \item \emph{Economical}: Optimization on Graph, Discrete Optimization, Game Theory.
  75. \end{itemize}
  76. The weighted average of those exams is 29.54/30, graduation on July 2016.}

  80. \cvitem{Title}{\emph{High performance computing of matrix exponential.}}
  81. \cvitem{Supervisor}{Prof. Marco Caliari}
  82. \cvitem{Description}{In many fields of science the computation of the action of the matrix exponential is of great importance. As one example amongst others exponential integrators\index{exponential integrators} can be highlighted. These methods constitute a competitive tool for the numerical solution of stiff and highly oscillatory problems. Their efficient implementation heavily relies on the fast computation of the action of certain matrix functions among those the matrix exponential is the most prominent one.
  83. The main purpose of this work is to develop and algorithm which heavily relies on the properties and features of the problem taken in account. In particular the focus is centered on the link between the spectral distribution of the eigenvalues of the matrix and the computational costs to be faced given a fixed tolerance in the accuracy.}
