Meeting the In-Laws

>Soleil and Jalen walk to her parent's home to introduce them where they live on the outskirts of Ylisse in a huge ranch like many others(Severa,Kjelle,Gerome) in the snowy afternoon while discussing the monsters they will train next..Scaled Hare for Jalen and a Naga for Soleil(Much to his surprise)

>Jalen had retired Seigi and is currently monsterless...as did Soleil to Fleur who is at her ranch as well

>Soleil gives a brief rundown of her parents to Jalen(Olivia is one of the most famous entertainers of her generation, starring in many movies and sang plenty of songs with Oscars and Grammys in her home...Lon'Qu is an established breeder in his rights who still fight in the circuit)

>Jalen look on as they approach the ranch and notice that there's a very close one nearby...Soleil points out that that is Inigo's Ranch...saying that he never moved out

>They come across the house and knock....Olivia answers and greet Soleil with a hug

>Soleil introduce Jalen to her as Olivia look over him and isn't impressed by his lack of fancy clothing...Jalen ignores that and greet her back as Soleil ask where's Dad...Olivia say that he's out back sparring with Inigo...She let them inside the house and tell them to mind the mess from the party last night as Inigo won another tourney...

>As they walk through the mess, Jalen recall that it was just the Mermaid Cup in Rank C...Soleil whispers that they overexaggerate Inigo's accomplishments a lot

>They head to the back(Where it's fucking huge Jalen notes) and see a Raiden giving Bailancio some issues....Lon'Qu look over and stop the sparring as Inigo nods...they walk to Olivia and Soleil and greet them..Inigo calling Olivia Mommy as Lon'Qu nods at her...but simply greet Soleil like a regular person as he's still upset over her moving to Nohr years ago

>He look at Jalen and immediately know him as the man who defeated Inigo a couple of times...not even sparing him a word or a Handshake as Jalen reach out for one...

>Olivia tell Soleil and Jalen that they are just in time for Lunch as they head to the Dining Room and eat Steamed Lobster with Baked Potatoes cooked by their maids(THIS IS A LUNCH!?!-Jalen)

>Olivia talk about her upcoming movies and new songs as Lon'Qu simply stare at Jalen while slowly eating...Jalen ignore that and pay attention to Soleil and Olivia's conversation.

>Lon'Qu ask Jalen about personal stuff like did he ever went to school to which Jalen denies...not being able to afford it with no parents

>Olivia is shocked and give a small speech on the importance of education...saying that Inigo wouldn't be who he is cause of
it....despite you know...Soleil doing better than he did in school

>Lon'Qu asked Jalen how did they meet....when he knows how they did from Inigo when he was told that he fucked his daughter...Jalen begins to tell him that they met at the ball when he was the Nohrian Rep(Lon'Qu interjects that which he stole from Inigo) and Soleil came to him to have a small conversation...Which Lon'Qu states that when he fucked her....Which Jalen nods to...Furthering angering Lon'Qu

>Olivia excuse herself and ask Soleil to come with her to show her some new dresses...Soleil follows her as she leaves Jalen with her dad and brother...

>Privately, Olivia tells Soleil that she doesn't approve of Jalen as a boyfriend and tell her to dump him for someone more secure...like Gerome or Laurent...Soleil disagrees

>Olivia ask her why when she's just looking out for her...but "gets" it when she tell her that she forgive her for not attending Inigo's parties here with a passive-aggressive tone..

>Soleil argues with her how she don't get her(Soleil here) for as long as she remember...trying to make her be just like a movie/pop singer like Olivia was and didn't agreed with how she wanted to be a breeder...further adding how when she moved to Nohr, it took them a week to realize that she was gone when she clearly left them warnings that she wanted to head to Nohr...And made it seems like she was the bad guy here...And then they barely call her or answer her calls back whenever she called them

>Olivia counters back that she was worried about her doing un-ladylike things and was beginning to think that she was either going through a phase in life or was deep in the closet for doing what boys normally do...That she was simply trying to give her the ideal life that she wanted....which Soleil counters back as she head back to get Jalen to leave that Olivia wanted to give her OLIVIA'S Ideal life...

>Meanwhile in the dining room...Lon'Qu, angry that Jalen has been beating Inigo AND doing well overseas...wants to spar with him as Jalen declines..saying that his monster is retired

>Lon'Qu call him a disgrace for turning down a challenge as Jalen counters back that he just know when to choose his battles and not to feed his ego..

>Jalen tell Lon'Qu that he notices his animosity towards Soleil and ask what's up with that...Lon'Qu answers family business..Jalen rolls his eyes and ask Inigo what's up with those 2 as Inigo, Without thinking, say that Daddy's just mad that Soleil isn't who she was supposed to be according to him and mommy

>Jalen thinks to himself how controlling these adults are as Soleil comes and tell him that they are leaving..he gets up and walk with her as Olivia follows them and tell them to come back anytime like she wasn't arguing with Soleil....Soleil doesn't answer back as she slams the door...

>Jalen tells her that he don't like her parents as Soleil sighs and answer back neither do she....despite her many, MANY attempts of getting them to love her...she admits to even resenting Inigo for a while before coming to the conclusion that it's not all of his fault despite how he came to be...

>Jalen say that her father may seek him AND her out at tournies which Soleil shrugs...joking that maybe combat will get her point across to them

>Jalen hugs her and link his arm with hers and cheer her up as he tell her that after they eat...they will go to the Market and buy the Disc Stones for their new monsters...

>However, his phone rings and he's told by Rin to meet her at the ranch NOW...Lucina's there and she is worried like hell....

>Soleil and Jalen head to the Ranch as fast as they can....
