Today

Today i saw a woman march around a stage with her hand  as a unwilling crowd's heads soared the skies

their complaints were muffled by the tip taping of their rebellious corpses

Dust in our  lungs

Cloth sewn in my skin

A sewed smile Forever ingrained in my mind

Today i saw a boy who glowed with a blue happyness and floated with glee join the swarm, a  floating swarm of confort and community that we could never achieve

Replace the static with images of our past long gone

Replace the static on the radio with the sobbing of a lonely interlocutor, powerless to do anything but offer information

Replace the static of the darkness with the  hope of a match

Strings jabbed in enemy hearts

Harmless specks of flame beneath a dancing child's feet

 Greedy Crooked necked men fixated on  the arts and hats

Today i saw ourselves join together to fight and find hope among the darkness

Dancing flames in flaming hearts

Dusting off the specks of former battles

Uniting with strange people


Seeing the one the kids who sleep yet walk talk about

Today
