  3. Plot:
  4. The year is 2065 and the world has reached a point of technological advancement, though not without its struggles. 45 years prior, a release of pure energy into the Earth set off a chain reaction of natural disasters that shifted the placements and climate of the various nations, rendering many areas of the world suddenly inhospitable. In the aftermath of the disasters, the remaining leaders of the world came together and created a coalition dubbed the Triota Protection Organization, or TPO for short, and set about plans to restore civilization to where it once was and even advance the people into a new era. Slowly but surely, zones of restored land sprung up from a central point and branched of from one another. The new continent was divided into three sectors by TPO and each sector divided into three divisions with different priorities to the whole of the community.

  6. However, as the years progressed, the integrity of the Sectors was nearly jeopardized by multiple feuds amongst the surviving humans and unfounded fears of sabotage by their neighbors. Seeing the threats at hand, TPO enlisted the help of the three Sector Majors to solve the issue. What was agreed upon was the use of the popular card game Duel Monsters in combinations with the invention of Solid Vision Lens and new legislation in order to bring about peace among the citizens. It took a few years for the trend to catch on, but as a result Duel Monsters had grown to become one of the most highly respected sport in the nation and was soon sponsored by TPO with their annual Duel Monsters Tri Tournament, a gathering of selected champions from the eight sectors with the grand prize of moving their families to the heavenly Central Sector with all the fame and fortune they could ask for.
