Ah, Gamera. Quite an interesting creature, he is. An absolute marvel of ancient bio-engineering. He's a combination of Gojira, Mothra, and the ancient Atlanteans themselves. Pretty much my three favourite things. Not counting the Warmonger designs themselves, hehe.

Anyways...... out of the three engineered creature types to come out of Atlantis, Gamera is definitely the most successful in terms of both efficiency and humanity. He was based off of the Atlanteans' most benevolent and kindred god of the same name. And also a giant bipedal turtle too, apparently. According to their religious texts, the god known as Gamera is a 'friend to all children', their safety being his number one concern above all else, since they represent the future of Humanity: fragile, but with limitless potential. My oh my, that's absolutely wonderful!

As well, I've found that the process of the creation of the living Gamera is remarkably similar to that of the Warmonger units. A large and stable chassis built around a powerful non-standard DE energy generator, catalyzed by the introduction of a Human being integrated into the core. However, aside from the obvious biological/mechanical difference, the Gamera model has a few distinct differences. Apparently, Gamera's main function is to apprehend and destroy any rogue Atlantean leftover. Additionally, Gamera also draws from a power source that differs from non-standard DE energy, 'Mana' they called it. This energy source is supposed to inhabit all living things, as well as the Earth itself. If there exists such an energy source that is separate from non-standard DE energy, we definitely need to look into it.

And now we reach the 'bad'. There's ALWAYS some big bad villain in these legends. And I can attest to their nature in real life, as well. These things are vicious, ravenous, and merciless in their quest to consume. And they poop. A LOT. It isn't even funny how much they do and, basically being giant bird poop, it is VERY hard to clean up. The Atlanteans actually had a problem not just with the excrement itself, but also a species of insect that was feeding off of it.

Well, back on track. The creatures' natural tendency to consume everything in their path makes sense, given that their base biological make-up is derived from that of King Ghidorah himself. However, unlike him, they weren't designed to be weapons of mass destruction. If anything, I think their original purpose was quite noble. The Gyaos were to be a controllable waste clean-up system that could breed asexually, so as to keep up with the growing pollution problem.

I just wish their biological programming wasn't so easily hijacked by a higher function being with the power of extreme mental suggestion. Their failure will at least teach us as a valuable lesson for the future. Hopefully, the waste we've already disposed of for so long won't come back to bite us in the bottom.

You know, after seeing Irys working alongside King Ghidorah in the modern day, I SHOULD feel antagonistic to the creature. But I don't. I've looked over the records, and I've analyzed him. He was based off of a demon called 'Ryu-Sei-Cho', one that was to bring about the end of the world, but from these recovered notes from a person that could be identified as the real world inspiration for Hephaestus, his story is a sad one.

Irys was born out of misery and anger, made to outshine Hephaestus' superior, the real Zeus. I sympathize heavily with it, and from what I've gleamed, Irys didn't have a choice when he eventually turned on the people. King Ghidorah was defeated just a few years earlier, and we all know that Irys was basically his second-in command. Irys himself was derived from King Ghidorah and Gyaos to create an ultimate life form capable of effectively guiding the Gyaos in their function to clean up the planet.

I theorize that, due to its similar genetics, King Ghidorah managed to subconsciously influence Irys, even from such great distances as the asteroid belt, and eventually took over his mind. That's why he, and in turn the Gyaos, turned on Atlantis and nearly destroyed the world. The Atlanteans got their world-destroying demon, alright, all to clean up the world better.

And I thought the string of prophetic legends had ended with Bagan, The Destroyer, and Irys. Now we have 'The Legion' as well. A foe that would come from the stars, in numbers that will darken the skies, bringing with them a grand tree that will suffocate all living things with using our own air.
