↳ Ever since Areum was young she was showered by love and affection. Her family never made her feel alone or unwanted. Because of this she showed everyone else love and affection.

↳ Her family also watched over her and each other. Everyone in the family cared for one another whenever they could. If anyone got hurt then there was always someone to help to get them back on their feet.

↳ She met a guy outside of her apartment and they began talking. The man spoke to her first by asking her if she knew where apartment C207 was. Coincidently it was the apartment next to hers. They began talking as they walked to their apartments together. After wards they began hanging out more and more and the man, Im Jaebum, finally asked her out. They spent a lot of time together and Jaebum always showered her with gifts. However he was a smoker and drank. He only smoked occasionally and drank a couple times a week. This led to Areum getting use to the smell of cigarettes and she started to drink alcohol more, but no one knew about this.

+ New Start | “I quit my last job at a cafe to get a job at this cafe.”
↳ Jaebum disappeared, he left a letter for Areum saying he had to go, but he did not want her to be heartbroken over him and he said he would come back for her. She cried, of course she did, her 3 year relationship just disappeared into thin air. She decided to have a new start; she moved into building A, worked at a different cafe because the old one was filled with memories of him, and she changed her look. However this new start could not erase the memories of them and she has yet to get over him. She believes he will come back for her.

+ New Face | “I’ll help if you let me.”
↳ A man comes into the cafe and looks at Areum while getting his drink before leaving. One day she bumps into the man when leaving her apartment. He turned out to be her neighbor and he tells her to keep it down when she cries at night. She got annoyed with the guy and that night she went home and drank away her feelings, something she did not do often, but is becoming a bad habit of hers. She stumbles out to her balcony and shouts, “Fuck you Im Jaebum! Asshole!” her neighbor, Jimin, comes out to his balcony and laughs at the drunk girl on the balcony next to his.
Jimin shouts, “Hey.”
Areum eyes him, “What?”
“What’s your name?”
“Song Areum, you?”
“Park Jimin.”
An awkward silence filled the air.
“Who are you screaming about? Why is he making you drink so much?” Jimin questions as he rests his arms on the railing.
“Come here.”
“What?”
Areum stumbles into her apartment, “Come to my apartment and we can talks.”

As a result, she eats little when with people, but a lot when alone, which is not often.

Her innocence come from her upbringing and here corruption is because she was made too naive. Her brother is the only one who knows about her drinking problem and blames himself for not protecting his sister.

↳ When she is trying to talk seriously, her cute face and persona is never taken seriously. People sometimes treat we like a child which annoys her. However when she does actually take something very seriously she is scary and people will treat her with respect.

↳ She never says what she actually wants unless it’s something she feels strongly about. She does not want to drag people into her problems. Her silent nature is a reason for her keeping to herself and because she feels like her problems are hers and no one else’s.
