  1. Sports hunting. There are different definitions of this term, each with their own connotations depending on whether you want it glorified or abolished but, the general definition is "Hunting is the practice of pursuing living animals for food, recreation, or trade."

  3. Hunting has been practiced since paleolithic times when man was nomdaic and had to hunt and gather for their daily meals. We are now living in 2009 and we have these amazing things called Supermarkets. Man no longer needs to hunt and kill for their meals someone has already harvested the bodies of specifically bred animals so that you don't have to go to all the effort.

  5. People have quickly abandoned other primative activities once an easier and more convenient alternative has been introduced. If you're going camping you dont make a hut for yourself out of sticks and mud you take a tent. If you want to cook something you dont start a fire in the backyard; you put it on the stove. If you want to put on make-up you dont crush berries and use the juices ejected as a lipstick; you use something you bought from the shop. But people still insist on hunting to eat.

  11. hunting has been a recurring motif in art through the ages from scultpure "Artemis with a Hind" circa 325BC to any other form of art imaginable, with some artists such as Henry Alkin and Lionel Edwards specialising in hunting frames. The glorification of hunting displayed at every oppertunity, with some avid hunters having a "gaming room" where they have their mounted "game" on the wall.

  13. Hunting usually involves the use of other animals in order to catch or chase the prey. Dogs are a common partner for man during these practices. Dogs are natural hunters but have been domesticated so that is was able to be labeled "Man's best friend". Hunting brings out all the natural instincts of the dog that generations have tried to oppress for the safety of their families.
